  • Maybe the worst after-market installation I've ever seen.

  • Remember what EXO taught you kids, FLUSH IS KING!!

  • You wanna try changing the speakers in a peugeot 307. In fact, you wanna try changing a lamp in a Peugeot 307. The car is a bastard!

  • @watchpotch ofcourse it is, its french.

  • @bmxsid Just traded it in for an Astra. The Lights in the peugeot were always blowing, and I couldn't fit my hand far enough to reach the headlamp, ridiculous as it sounds. And changing the speakers is impossible without dismantling the door with a thousand tools. Goodbye to bad rubbish!

  • @watchpotch trust they hate mechanics

  • i have a question, i have a Nissan 240sx (1993) and there is a place for like 2X4 speakers in the back but i have 6X9's and i need to find a new place to mount them!!! the seat doesnt have anywhere under it and i dont want to put them where the hatchback is... any ideas!!?!?!?!???!?! HELP PLEASE

  • Thanks a lot for sharing the info, its really helpful ;-)

  • a Makita would cut your time down

  • Why do all these guys on expertvillage and ehow talk like they have a dick up their ass?

  • so u can just use the wiring to the stock speakers on the new ones?

  • this video kinda sucked

  • real men dont use screw drivers

  • So you take out your speaker then put it back in? That helped.

  • @Skoot8523 cuase he already had the after market speaker in there..

  • ohh nice mistake at 2:46 positive to negative??? I think you should not do this you must wire positive to positive and negative to negative!!!

  • you can just hook up the old wires to the crossovers?? i thought you needed to run new wires... this is awesome. and why didnt he show how to do anything with the tweeter

  • Comment removed

  • @cotas555

The last one is more powerful!

  • thanks man. I was havin trouble with my door panel. got it.

  • Arent you supposed to disconnect the battery before you do all this??.,..

  • @WithinReach2 real men dont disconnect the battery before installing speakers

  • @ConVic73d ive never blown anything up and i never disconnected a battery. was i supposed to 0.o

  • @ConVic73d

i never do that, but can it kills me?

  • @ConVic73d - Thats what I thought, until I watch my 27 year old cousin get zapped and scream like a girl... Real men dont disconnect the battery, but real SMART men do... Ha ha

  • What's a crossover?

  • @mychevyext it separates frequencies for each speaker, ie Hi, Mid, Low, to a specific speaker. usually by size, in that cars install, the door speaker may be a 6" speaker for low and mid, the high frequency speaker may be at ear level or on one of the pillars, w/ a speaker size about 1-2". It similar to a home theater system, has an output just the subwoofer. check a manual of a brand and model you like that has a crossover it will explain. crossovers=generally more clarity + defined sound

  • @mychevyext it's what gay people do

  • so sketchy

  • @cotas555 haha. yeah but this entire thing was for demonstration purposes. the car he's working on is a company car notice all the advert. vinyls?

  • I am watching this video to find out how to remove a door and he says 'if it feel more than mormal stop'' how the hell do i know whats normal i never done this before!

  • @syncmaster710n14 it means don't apply more force than you think it takes to break the plastic. hate to be a smart ass

  • @BigDogTwenny9niny2 But i don't know what it takes to break the plastic (and metal in my case) AS I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE.

  • wtf is that the factory speaker? that coudl be recycled in my garage...nice

  • @bigbusinessx no, memphis is aftermarket

  • @cotas555 he used it as an example of what to do..... maybe you should listen to what he says.

  • this kid doesnt know what the hell he is doin thumbs up if u agree

  • you should not be doing this as a job, i hope people don't actually go to you for car audio ...

  • well you know that there is 4-6 inch subs dumbasss

  • @JakeEricson why you gotta start cursing foo???

  • im still a little confused.im gabout to buy 2 W3 12" JL Audio subs. Do i need to buy 2 amplifiers? one for my speakers in the car and one for my subwoofers or can i just buy 1 subwoofer that can run both of them. Also is it absoultely necessary to upgrade your speakers in the car before you upgrade your subwoofers? BTW i have a sony explode deck.

  • Also: holy shit. That thing must rattle like a bitch. Regardless, props to this guy for showing new people how to work shit.

  • I had thought about that, but the kick pannels on the land rover are also the fire wall so I thought it might be dangerous, but I have solved the problem now by putting them in home-made (custom) wooden boxes on the door pilars which work quite well but it dose mean the speaker is right next to your ear so it is like having one very lond headphone in one ear.

  • can you replace it with subwoofers?

  • @carlos530123 Yeah. Go ahead and mount a foot long speaker in a door. See what happens dipshit. Common sense is hard isn't it?

  • Yeah, lets replace the same speaker i took out.

  • I drive a 36 year old land rover which does not have door panles it simple has a single sheet of metal as a door. Any ideas what I can do?

  • @syncmaster710n14 you could try putting them in the kick pannel, under the dash

  • and the funny thing is... The " New " speaker, is the same speaker he took out. I mean, when he took off the door cover, the speaker didn't even look like stock.

But nontheless the review is great, and everything is quite easy to understand!! =)

    Way to go eHow!!

  • I think this is the best how to ive ever seen from expert village

  • @DjR3aper thats because its not expert village....

  • @DjR3aper This is eHow bro lol

  • All those wires and crossovers in the doors rattling around. Bet that sounds good....

  • Honda uses Memphis Audio....right

  • @2hotallday ill lookin into installin speakers in my 96 civic...was it really hard or many simple steps?

  • @juliamay32322

Well before i actually installed my speakers i just wanted to take a look and see if i could get the door panel off first and i could. Afterwards i took out 1 of my blown speakers. Its not hard at all, i struggled a little bit but that was to be expected. All i used was a phillips screwdriver, flathead screw driver( to help get the door panel off) and a flash light.

  • @2hotallday ill lookin into installin speakers in my 96 civic...was it really hard or many simple steps?

  • Congratulations on removing and re-installing the same speaker. Your a freakin weopon man.

  • 16759 videos...??? :O

  • Drill the new speaker, not the car damn!!!

  • memphis gud choice

  • hears a good tip dont use the screws that came with the speaker i did once and it snaped the top off of the screw

  • @navajacob122

Using the screws are fine, if your smart enough to check the size and thread befor trying to use them. Like the guy said if you wish to use a larger screw or thread drill out the old holes and tap new threads.

  • bye bye car

  • speak up bitch

  • did he just say positive to negative??

i thought it went positive to positive etc

  • Do you have to Disconnect the Negative Cable on the Battery before working on speakers? because in the last video that's what the guy said too do so that you won't short any electrical connections or damage the speakers. Now in this Video the Guy didn't even mention it so should i or should i not Disconnect the Negative cable on the Battery?

  • @HeavyMetalMike666 only if you're dealing with an amp, and you need to run power wire from the battery to it. No need if you're not running an amp

  • so my factory speakers had 4 connecting wires. the speakers i bought only have 2. i connected 2 factory wires to each new connection and it sounds like shit.... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

  • great tutorial on swaping out speakers but u really do need to show people in a vid how to mount a cross over if they want to run a comp set, i say this because i had some kicker ks 6&1/2 comps in my tacoma and i just layed the cross overs in the bottom of the door and when i was messing around trying to find a spot to relocate my tweets i looked at the cross over and it was rusted due to excess water draining down window seal

but anyways great video and should help some people in the long run

  • kenny called ... he wants his mumbling back..

  • hey where can i go to find out replace the speakers to a 1989 chevy s10?????

  • forgot to remove the negative from the car battery!

  • He missed one screw xD

  • @pmrpimp he missed more than one... haha

  • what do you do if you want to buy a bigger speaker?

  • @skateaddict1210 uh. Cut a bigger hole.

  • if you want to upgrade, then upgrade your wire as well!!!!!!!!

  • positive to negative WOAH HOLD ON!??? 2:44

  • @lolaroflmao i think he meant positive and negative lol

  • @lolaroflmao I know you posted this a year ago but he meant plug you positive on first then plug your negative on (so there isn't a chance of an electrical arc) you should also do it with your car battery.

  • @GarrettAndersonTV yeah you should do it in that order... but the way he said it was wrong. should have said "Positive first, then negative" not "positive to negative" haha too much derp and not enough herp

  • hey if anyone know the answer can you please let me know: so i just bought a car it has a cd player but use to have the whole system, amp and all that, well they prevoius owner took that but left the cd player and when i tried to listen to anything there is no sound..nothing at all not even the faintest sound does anyone know how to get it to work?

  • @nikki18702 Are there speakers in it?

Did he bother to reconnect the speakers if there are?

  • @nikki18702 make sure everything is hooked up to the back of the cd player. check that all the speakers are hooked up and if not then go into the settings on ur cd player and the volume might have accidentally got muted

  • whats a crossover?

  • that must sound bbaaaaddd

  • he just put the same crap speaker in there..

  • @timthetoolman09 those are memphis mids. go back to playing video games and stop posting about stuff you know nothing about.

  • @timthetoolman09 memphis audio isnt crap thats a audio project car

  • i need to replace my speakers. what kind of speakers are good for replacing blown factory speakers that are not to expensive but dont cost an arm or a leg?

  • new speaker isn't sitting in their right after tightened... ? that cant be good either

  • mmmmmm @ 2:45 you say connect pos to neg?!?!? sounds like a good idea, rattley crossover in door to, nice. can you do my instal??

  • GREEEAAAT video!!!:-)

  • amateristas tou kerata...asxetos blakas eisai megale!!!

  • lol that is the same speaker -.-

  • whats the name of this job?

  • now this guy knows what hes doing :D

  • demonstration people... i'm sure this guys smart enough to understand that with aftermarket speakers, reccomends sound dampener of sorts to minimize rattling or humming

  • and then you have a crossover rattling all over your door

  • I wondered about that.. that he just shoved it back in there.. Rattle City...

  • This is a rather sloppy "guide"?

To maintain the best sound fidelity, one should also mount the speaker flat onto the surface beneath, not with a couple of millimeters gap.

And the crossover and the NOT SO waterproof cable joints should not be lying in the bottom of the door... Come on, it gets wet when it's raining, or you're washing your car. Corrosion and short circuit isn't that funny.

I wouldn't pay a dime for this "pro" to install in my own car!

    :O

  • @bilstereobloggen

This dude sucks im with you on this, just shoved everything in there, not smart !

  • He didn't mention that you have to un hook the negative termanal first

  • El video realmente no explica nada.

  • did he just put back the same speaker

  • thts whts im saying man i guess he was showing how to do an install or they were the same brand but newer

  • Thanks man i didn't understand why he went trough all that stuff in the first place

  • Yes.

  • yes because memphis audio isnt stock dummy

he did it just as a tutorial

  • dude the car is off so no current is flowing

  • What was that box in the speaker wire?

  • crossover

  • its a crossover and it just puts out the lows cuts the highs

  • what should i do if i buy bigger speakers they can fit in there 2 or i have to do something else

  • return them and buy the right size? LOL

  • lol if the speakers u bought are bigger then the factory then u have a problem

  • dam that car must smell

  • @blahblahwtf100

Its a civic, all those air fresheners are to hide the overpowering smell of burnt rice.

  • cool

  • WTF is that stupid steering wheel?
