  • great

  • Youtube is a Sample's Library !

  • too bad the video sucks that much ! I wish I coiuld have properly seen him playing !

Filming with such little consideration a "living god of music" is a shame !

  • @shantibabou you need ears, not eyes

  • this is some of the most refreshing music I have heard in a while. Would love to experience this group live!

  • gran maestro!

  • Nobody disliked this video... Even neo-nazis love that groovy juicy joint.

  • i'll see him tonight :)

  • his style is the shiit

  • Just have to see him live again'' Love Master Allen

  • I watch this before bed to get me loosened up. It's like a glass of whiskey for me.

  • Is a release on Vinyl in planning?

  • i dont think anyone plays as natural sounding as allen.

  • @aero105 Yes, i love his sound too.

  • waste of energy = 0 % , optimal creative output , that's the way

  • How the fuck does he roll like that with one hand?

  • @mikeygeneral GRAVITY BLAST!!! :D

  • @mikeygeneral he use finger let finger behind hand than blance the stik let it hit bit hard to explain ;)

  • he give the music so much feel and mood

  • crazy shit. yes. anyone konows what song tim played?

  • hypnotizingly good

  • this is fantastic

  • He looks like he's half asleep, or completely bored. But of course what he plays is amazing. The guy is one of my favorites.

  • Never heard a drummer sounding so good....wow. Pure feeling.

  • Where can I find this track? I have searched on line but I couldn't find it.

  • two things:

    1. I always knew that sebastian tellier's "la ritournelle" drums were sampled from real drums. It's a really satisfying to finally find out that it's so and also find the original drummer

    2. I'm really studying tony's stuff after this!

  • this man......it's so.....musical. I met him in person, cool guy

  • Amazing.. The ease and precision with which he plays is awesome.

  • It would be graet to have a drum summit with groove masters Tony Allen and Clyde Stubblefield -- among others.

  • As a bass player this guy is like dream come true. Why can't all musicians bring down the volume. The Who has a lot to answer for! Hahaha.

  • @clancywiggam The Who have nothing to answer for. Moon & Allen, two totally different approaches to music.

  • real old-schoolish drumming and sound, great!!

  • his style is so elegant

  • Great! Has Mr. Allen ever encountered James Brown, Miles Davis or Common. I would love to know what those conversations were like. Is Carlos on this track? Thanks.

  • wow, he plays so 'soft and tender', that's a real challenge for me, to play that relaxed and soft :-)

  • @frank0072 And it's so satisfying when you reach that level of relax and ease ; inspiration for improv seems to appear by itself. Those guys (Tony, Jack de Johnette, etc.) changed my whole perspective. I had never enjoyed the brutal style in the first place but was self-taught so I pretty much played by instinct and just BEAT those skins like they had done something wrong. lol

  • what a baller. i kinda love this a lot.

i just wish he looked a little less lifeless when he played xD

  • 100% pure concentration. This man is still as round as can be in my book.

  • omg this is amazing.........few seconds in and I'm already lovin it!

  • so cool. I'm so glad md just featured Tony. He plays himself, it's awesome.

  • unreal, i have a new drumming idol

  • mee too :)

  • Fantastic !!
