I love that so many people loved and understand the meaning of these shows. They were indeed ground-breaking as some have said. Humor is humor and the delivery was the sign of the times but their so-called buffoonery was nothing compared to what came later on television. I loved these shows and it spelled home to me, at the television with the siblings and mom and daddy. Yes, they are priceless and the cast? Brilliant!

my father told me that before it was banned from TV that Nashville police [moral squad] had already taken it off the local station in Nashville.that was the same squad of police that banned the gunsmoke cast from a personal appearance in Nashville also.they banned so many TV shows from Nashville that people went back to radio shows.its a shame that a handful of people can dictate to so many of what they can watch or listen to,sounds like a dictatorship to me.just my opinion

i thought A&A was great and ground breaking. we're talking about the 50's show with an ALL BLACK cast. it is part of history, and i underline "history", so people should appreciate it for what it was.
