Kissin is not my choice of pianist, but this one is not bad, although in some passages ( especially in the Adagio ) his interpretation is sometimes a bit too personal, but overall speaking is not bad. By the way, the orchestra need to brush up their skills, I don't think they're first rate players.
,,,,,,,,,seeing him live is zee best. For the Brahms piano concerto #2,,,on Thu Sep 25 2003, Evgeny Kissin with CSO at Chicago with Daniel Barenboim was a stronger attack on the #2 piece than all the stage wins of Eddy Merckx in the Tour de France. Does a recording exist of that days delight? And, I think the bigger his hair, the bigger the sound,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Man, this was a fabulous performance! Unfortunately the sound quality was very poor (analog video tape I fear).

WAY TOO MUCH APPLAUSE!! though they deserve it.. I remember clapping for an hour and a half when I went to his solo recital.
