about 2 years ago I saw in a tuning shop a 12"sub with 600w / 4 ohm, for 120euros
i bought it, and. I've put it side by side with 1 of my JBL jrx-118 subwoofers (18", 350w), both conected to 1 of my PA amps (I used an audio centron rma 1400 - 2x400w), and pulled the amp to max power for 10 minutes. you couldn't even hear the 12" car sub. after 10 minutes I realised the 12" sub was already damaged.
the 12" with 600W rms couldn't resist to 400w from the amp, the JBL sub was WAY much louder.
JBL rules but the jrx-118 is a JBL's lowcost subwoofer and cannot be compared to the JBL standard quality. It is way lower quality. My Dj career is parttime, so I would never waste my precious money on a high end sound system :O
