lil wayne lyrics have improved vastly over the last 5 yrs, but he is not a beast nor is he the greatest rapper alive- i don't care what he sells or how many punchlines he spits-he has a while to go and he is not consistent in terms of being coherent and his rhymes tend to be all over the place at times.

The thing I like about Nas is, he can still rap like this, he purposefully dumbs down his lyrics. This is evident on "Where Ya'll At" where Nas reverts back to "Old Nas" with jam tight sylables, and unconceivalbe displays of lyricism. Nas is obviously the most dangerous Lyricist today, until he decides to retire. I like how he constanly switches his lyrical style(which makes some say hes fallen off, but don't see that Nas always switches his flow to match whatever record hes on).
