  • 31 years of age from Dublin Ireland and loving this since I was 18. LEGEND.

  • CHARLIE MANSON 1:00

  • because of how the world is today, seeing things like this is almost surreal. we need some real life FUCKING SCANDAL these days, and we need to come together more! make music, make love, instead of giving these rich asses more and more money while we struggle with everyday life and living because of how the economy runs!

  • What a wonderful morning that must have been :)

  • WOODSTOCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • !:01 i didnt know john stamos was in jefferson airplane

  • Love it. They where up all night waiting to go on. Partied all night wasted as you can see and still played awsome.

  • che belal collezione di cervelli spappolati

  • movie 'four brothers' brought me here!

  • WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS :D

  • I wish I could sing this good stoned lol

  • they r trippin. ballz....

  • Yeah; they're stoned as hell

  • @74LesPaul - You hit the nail on the head, the BULLSEYE.

  • 7 people do not need somebody to love.

  • listen to that sound!!!

off her tits but still sounds great

  • Maybe Winehouse should try doing some morning gigs before she has had a chance to jack herself up.... Oh, and listen to and watch this a shit load of times as well....

  • @mrbillhicks This comment is actually sad since she died.

  • @ninjashorty23

    Shit... Who died ?

  • @mrbillhicks Amy winehouse

  • @ninjashorty23 don't ruin Jefferson with such garbage.

  • @iatepandorasbox lol I'm not? If you looked at my previous comments you would see that I wasn't simply putting her name out there. There was a previous convo to that yeeesh.

  • she was a baaaaabe

  • Didn't know that you could rent movies from You Tube . . thanks! Kirk

  • You think she had a little somethin' before da show?

  • music declined when 90's came to a close

  • Woodstock sounds like a wonderful land I must visit!! Unfortunately, I was born in the early 1990's, so I don't remember Smashing Pumpkins or Nirvana, and the earliest band I remember hearing that had anything new was Guerrilla Radio by Rage Against the Machine. Not only that, but I am growing up in an era of people who worship Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black. What has the world come to?

  • the guy at 1:00 what drug is he on? i need it

  • @DjValentin7 at look at him he does look like he is on something

  • @DjValentin7 lsd

  • @voxom911 getttin me some, plus lead singer is gorgeous. wish i was born around this era :/

  • @DjValentin7

Grace Slick was indeed a knockout back in the day. .

  • @74LesPaul she definitely was !!

  • Ohhh Yeaaah. The Family Dog was headquartered at the Avalon Ballroom on Van Ness & Sutter sts I was told the "light show" was invented there when some sound tech thought of putting a clear bowl of colored water on an over head projector put drops of oil in it and moved it around. If you look at some of those old original videos you can see that "so called" technology......Boy Oh Boy..Platform shoes, bell bottom pants, an Afro with a Nik Nik shirt with a medallion around my neck. What memories!

  • I will be 60 years old this year and grew up in San Francisco. Graduated in 1969 and even though this is Woodstock I remember listening to all of these bands in Golden Gate Park. I was helping my grandkids with a history projet about the 60's and wanted to show them some stuff on You Tube and boy am I having a huge flashback...Jeff, Creedence, Sly, Country Joe and the Fish. Zep..I gotta go in my storage bin and pull out my albums...

  • @Cabque Can you tell me if the Family Dog (Chet Helms's organization) had a fixed location in SF? There's a Youtube video of the Grateful Dead playing "China Cat Sunflower" at The Family Dog. Where was it? Thanks.

  • @Cabque 61 yr now and listening to her - them - right back. Good times, bad times, drama times and wow, who'd know it would be such history. I'm writing a (another) novel that takes place in the City & also researching some details. This song is part of that. Mission High.

  • wow...it's almost 6am and they're already stoned lol xD i love it xD. i would give anything to be alive at the time of Woodstock! i wouldn't care if i was surrounded by people having sex (well that might be uncomfortable) or doing drugs, i'd be too focused on the music anyhow xD this is real music. everything from the 60's-early 90's was good music :) then the 21st century came..... :P

  • the death of

  • watching this video just re-enforces the term, " dont do drugs!!"

  • @TheConspiracyMan8 Yeah right ! but listen to the music "Cool your boots man"!

  • the 60's were america's renaissance

  • featuring charles manson assisting grace slick on vocals....LOL

  • It looks like this was shot just before the sun comes up, that's like 6am! Insane!

  • @canon21100 Your right...it was a morning show. Woodstock was 24 /7 non stop drugs, music and sex.Look at marty Balins eyes....higher than a kite were most of them , most of the time. I was a senior in college then and everybody that could make it went to woodstock ny for that orgy of the mind, soul and body. , a once in a lifetime event.

  • All i can say about that whole generation is that they were hypocrites!

"make love not war" turned into "greed is good" in less than 20 years. Their parents were part of the greatest generation and they became the worst generation.

    Good Music though.

  • Fuck the hippies. They crashed and burned after '67. Those of us who actually went to Vietnam (and were lucky enough to have survived) were partially at least, kept going by this kind of music. We listened to the Airplane on our transistor radios and even our aircraft ADF's on AFVN or even better, on our reel to reel tape recorders in our hooches. Great times...shitty war! USMC HMM-263 1970. Marble Mountain.

  • I doubt that tambourine was heard all that much

  • It's a real shame I was born in 1995, I've missed so much!!!!!

  • I loved those time braless and hairy armpits;

    Natural was the Theme

  • Te second Woodstock was better

  • @offrampt You're kidding of course.

  • druuuuuuuugs!

  • hippys were and are a joke. when this country asked for help, they fled. thats all you need to know about hippys...gutless jokes.

i hate conservatives but give me a break.

being a hippy took (& takes) very very little effort and alot of mouth.

99.9999% of the adults on this earth do not regard them as courageous nor will they ever do so.

thank you hippys for decling this country.

  • @pbrick6301 if it wasn't for hippies you would probably be far more brainwashed than you obviously are right now. And if you think for a second that being "courageous" helps out anyone but the powerful elite you are (seriously) misguided. No disrespect prick6301 , we all have lessons that need to be learnt.

  • @pbrick6301

    you spelt hippies wrong.

  • What a time it was.

  • DOB 9/12/1968. The whole "Peace Love Anti-Establishment" hippies of the 60s turned into the yuppie movement in the 80s. I remember a story in Rolling Stone in 1989 with Jerry Garcia talking about how much he liked his new 750il BMW. The music was great, The theory was bullshit.

  • @22reTOYOTA If the USA had been making decent cars back then, I think he woulda bought one.

  • @Zepster77 That was in a 1989 issue of Rolling Stone. Not a 1969 issue.

  • @22reTOYOTA I know... and again I say: if the US had been making decent cars back then (in 1989), he probably would have bought one!

  • @Zepster77 Sorry I read you wrong. I dont know, Multi million dollar rock stars would tend to lean towards a Ferrari over a Corvette.

  • this modern american culture of the 00's has been desolate...the great artists are hiding in the background, the drive is more and more fake and materialistic, everything revolves around consumerism...

I hope the 10's are drastically different and we find new reasons to make this world and our lives better

  • fuck britney spears! this is music!!!!!!!!!!

  • How can something be so cool for so long? And almost nothing from before the 60's (and nothing at all that I can tell before the 50's) was considered cool long after, or today!

  • the band sucks the singing sounds good it all sounds better with sound bites

  • would of loved to be at woodstock...omg!!!

  • Charles Mason in the chorus? Wow! =)

  • NEVER TRUST A HIPPIE

  • @scalatorino go fuck yourself.

  • @scalatorino hippies saved your ass from being totally taken over by political interests. but the threat is back and the hippies of today are a mere shadow of the 60's peace movement. i do still have hope that a non violent revolution is currently underway and will bring the people back to power.

but i imagine you have no clue what i'm even saying, such is life.

  • da brividoooooooooooooooooooo

  • people gotta read ELECTRIC KOOL AID ACID TEST--it will blow your mind.....

  • The Rock revolution in the 1960s was the up and coming generation's response to Viet Nam. Today, it's the Tea Party, to the equally broken system. Will it have the same fire in IT'S belly?

  • The Rock revolution in the 1960s was the up and coming generation's response to Viet Nam. Today, it's the Tea Party. Will it have the same fire in IT'S belly?

  • I wish I was born to see them!! Or at least to enjoy the power of real great music!

Stupid auto tuned music on the radio all day long.. I hate this new world we live in...

  • ヘアスタイルがうっとうしいですね。ストレートヘアのほうがいいのに…。

    まっ、当時の流行もあるでしょうし、しようがないか(おいおい、音楽には触れないのか?)。

  • They use the word "love" like a cheap restaurant uses chicken.

  • i wish to born in 1945... 60's 70's rulez

  • i don't know why but it sounds better when it's not live!

  • She said heavy "Groups"

  • At the start, did she say "you've seen the heavy gooks?" I'd have thought Jefferson Airplane would be a bit more sympathetic to the Vietcong. Still I'll forgive her, shes sexy. That "just rolled out the peacewagon" look really does it for me

  • WOW HIPPIE MILFS i Like :P

  • Grace was amazing. I remember seeing her on Ed Sullivan. She stood completely still, and belted out the music with fire. But having great talent is different from being a great person.

  • jaajja bien drogados....yeah

  • post please

  • Marty rules!

  • whose the cutie with the tamborine

  • Jim Carry's dad

  • @ilovehellokitty92 xD marty balin he's amazing !!

  • haha i know most of them are loaded but look at 1:00 dat dude is loaded out of his mind..lol

  • He always look like dat!!!

  • Hey I think he's Jim Carrey

  • She's Lovely...

  • Watching Grace looking at Jorma singing about the questionnaire made me realize that she was the most magnificent woman created to that point.

    Even with Lani Hall.

    Merci.

  • Toly estaba bien bonita jumm y con semejante voz, que chimba Jefferson Airplane aun vive!!! O-O P-A-L

  • Notice the composition of the music from this period. Many had attended Juliard (Chicago) and many had a classical background. The music was "musical." I heard a guitar player from a current popular band being interviewed on a radio show who admitted that he only knew 3 basic power chords. Screaming over 3 chords about sums up much of the current music today. It is different for the sake of being different - but has very few vocal harmonies and has little to no musical composition.

  • A short translation of what 74LesPaul said was: Jefferson Airplane fucking rocks!

  • @74LesPaul david gilmour had no musical training at all.

  • @privatetvtrog1 Thanks. . I didn't know that . . the same could be said of the Beatles . . and many others. But somehow melody and composition were alive back then. . and again I am showing my age. . but I do not hear the same thing happening today at the same level as it was when I was in my teens. (I was able to see most of the bands of the era in California in my latter teenage years).

  • @74LesPaul tru tru

  • Stoned out of their minds, especially Mr tamborine man, but still able to jam. Hit it again tamborine man, hit it again...

  • SyNas My take on your comment is envy = The

time I lived in. Weird because everyone alive from my generation is old now. Look around you. The country in in another BS war for the elite to get rich on. We're headed for a depression. Todays music is garbage because

the PRIVATE owners of the Fed Reserve Bank. Dosn't want musical artist to produce songs about todays times. That would unite todays generation to think and take action.

Look up CFR on google see who belongs. Its a private club.

  • The music was Great. Enjoy!!

  • I was born in 1949. The 60's was a REVOLUTION

against the status quo. Look at Grace she has fire in her belly. We lost the last greatest president JFK. Then DR. King, then Bobby. We lived hard,(drugs)loved hard, because at 19 years of age alot of us died in Veitnam.

  • i envy you in a weird way... :)

  • Me too, but in a big way haha :)

  • @drudge48 True man, but more people died by pure Heroin from Vietnam :( .

  • @drudge48

I was born in 1987. The 00's was EMPTY

  • @drudge48 And now we are all baby boomers and still taking no prisoners

  • @drudge48 lol somebody's been hearing the "song" "19" alot

  • @drudge48 regan was the last great president. and people died in vietnam for their country while you sat around getting high. great music though

  • @riley540 What are you sitting on?

  • live of course i want to be high

  • i want to be leave 60s

  • dudes.. they were so high.. that's freakin' awesome..

  • yes,labour scum.

  • The "good old days"!

  • I'd do her!

  • I know 60's 70's and 80's is where it was AT!!!

  • Why was I born in the 90´s? To late if you ask me.

  • yahh same 4 me ... I always say I born at the wrong time ... :)

  • same here.. born 1993

  • grce look slike she has a huge hangover!

  • i wish i was born in the 60s

  • you'd wanna be born in the 50s so you could truly live through the 60s

  • Make that the early-50s. I was born in the mid-50s and was still too young to really appreciate most of the 1960s as a decade. Fortunately for me the mid-1970s were sensational and in some respects, I believe, resembled the late-60s, though the mid-70s fashions were more flamboyant. Of course, no one in the 60s would have thought it possible to be any more flamboyant than what they were at the time.

  • Regarding when one would have had to have been born to have enjoyed the 1960s: on second thoughts, I'm thinking that even the early-50s would have been too late. I think those born in the mid-to-late-40s most probably enjoyed the 1960s the most.

  • I was born in 61, and yet only very vaguely remember hearing Beatles, Airplane, Hendrix etc on radio. Music TV was NOT what it is today - far from it. We were lucky if there was anything remotely good on our Once a week "Top of the Pops" half hour.

Of course, the "Old Grey Whistle Test" had great live bands on, but I had to be in bed before it came on. I was 9 when Jimi and Janis died, so I was hardly a swinger. Maybe you want to review your wish a little. 1947 would be ideal. :-)

  • no wonder they scared the shit out of the 1960s establishment-they are amazing

  • lmfao

  • Is that Charles Manson singing with her?

  • no....

  • they definitely dont make em like this anymore...

    xD

  • this song rocks

  • pure class

  • one hell of a voice

  • Holy shit, I wish I was around back then. 1989-2008 have sucked compared to stories I've heard and the music back then. And they're all blazed hardcore, which is sweet. :)

  • @TheOriginalSuperfly Perhaps u can't see the wonder at ur feet..

  • Live in... Woodstock ! 6 am, august 16, 1969... historical moment.

  • yeah swedish subtitles =)

  • showed up to grace in st gorehausen germany and she was sick, so the germans just tore up the whole stage and equipment, so she is that good to piss some folks off is she isnt around to play,,, good job gracie

  • Wohoo Swedish!

  • wooo! this song kicks ass!!!

=[ sucks that i was born in 1993! i was born in the wrong decade!!

  • Yeah, I totally understand you!

  • You were not born in the wrong decade. Neither was I. We have got Terence Mckenna's words of wisdom. Listen to his speeches on the Internet and travel to the psychedelic truth that embraces the sun and filters through the clouds of our minds in the form of permanent happiness.HolaGoodbye21.

  • that is one of the best songs of the century and now the top best songs in the whole world. PEACE AND LOVE DON"T U WANT SOMEBODY TO LOVE for a change
