Despite you not knowing combos to take real advantage of Shao Khan's taunts, the one thing that keeps you from winning is you're not blocking at all. Nor are you easily crouching under his spear throws. You can easily beat Shao Khan without knowing combos by simply baiting and waiting. Turtling also works. Lastly, if you knew all of Liu Kang's moves you'd be attacking Shao Khan with his fireballs.
