I sub you on two channels and just cheerfully uprated you again. I had access to a trading floor for two years in the USA in Wall Street and my coworker and I used to sit down and fiddle with keyboards and watch in delight as pandemonium reigned. We did this weekly. No one stopped us! I think what I did was wrong in retrospect but it just shows you how unsecure these systems are. We even dressed as spies with crazy sunglasses. On a trading floor in Manhattan! NO ONE STOPPED US.

The market was halted at 10.05am, just five minutes into trading after the technical fault was detected, and remained closed through the announcement of a deal in Europe that will see private investors face a loss of up to 50 per cent on Greek bonds. in the share market stopped with all markets placed into "enquire''.

"That is currently under investigation,'' Mr Gibbs said, but declined to provide more details.

Mr Gibbs said 6700 trades had been made before trading was halted.

So laughable it was incredible on the 2010 flash crash. LOL it took me 2-3 hours to fall asleep that night because I was laughing all night saying stuff like "some investor" "b (billion) instead of m (million) caused the crash", "unknown investor", "Reuters", "typo" and after every time I would say one of those to myself trying to sleep and literally crack up laughing.
