  • your si is acutally pretty fast compared to others, tune?

  • @TheNolimits21 Read the video description

  • GM cars like Chevy Cobalts, pontiac pursuits are piece of shit and no wonder why GM is bad quality. The only american cars i would touch are caddys and lincolns.

This video does sound like a B series

  • Olle estupido enseñate hacer los cambios apuesto que tu abuelita los hace mejor q tu

  • Slow!

  • Si's are cool but I think they are way too expensive now for what you get and they are over rated by alot of people.

  • i thought they made fwd cars like panties......for GIRLS!!!!! ahahahahahahahaha

  • I'm thinking about trading my '01 GT Mustang in on one of these. These things are pretty quick. And to all the Honda haters out there, a true car person can appreciate any car. Especially one as quick and clean as these little Si's. You can't ask too much more out of a car that gets 30mpg and can still chirp into 3rd.

  • i get my si up in the 8700 rpm range

  • jajaj llego de 0-100 en 18seg el mio llega de 0-100 en 8,1 seg

  • @santikpo98 no seas pendejo we, el de el esta en mph!

  • @santikpo98 Amigo son millas no kilómetros no te confundas

  • import power!

  • Lower that VTEC Window to 3900 instead of that stock shit 4100... Flashpro baby. I tune if interested lol.

  • Love how everyone forgets it's also one of the best handling FWD cars on the market and it's naturally aspirated. 100 hp per liter? That's pretty fucking good. Winding it out to 8 grand? Yes, please. Why does no one ever care if a car is fun to drive anymore? The Civic Si is a fun car to drive. Fast is a relative term. It's not the fastest but it's faster than plenty of cars on the road.

  • @RiversOfGore1 Exactly, I own an Evo X now and cant stand to daily it. Overall I have to say the Si was a more "fun" car to drive, it didnt take neer as much attention as the Evo does. I made 206whp with bolt ons before I sold it.

  • @RiversOfGore1 Exactly. A true car person can appreciate any car. People bag on them because "everybody has one." For one, not everyone has an Si, and two, you think so many people would buy them if they're junk?

  • wow...my stock gtp ram air will do 50 in first, 80 in second, and its an auto. that's why i won't own a honda

  • @chpenney26 Comparing a 4 speed auto to a 6 speed manual is really smart.

  • @crazyquady i was also implying that it doesn't take me nearly as long to reach those numbers...sorry about the confusion...and your slow vtec

  • @chpenney26 You do realize the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for the '06+ Civic Si are damn near identical to the 91-06 GTP. Maybe you need to do a bit of research before you run your mouth.

  • @crazyquady first off anyone who would buy a pontiac over a honda needs their head examined. basicly a pontiac is a step above walking. lol

  • @chpenney26 Wow-it only took GM 3.8 Liters, 6 cylinders, and a SUPERCHARGER to make the same power as a Honda 2.0 na 12 years ago in the S2000. Trust me, GM owners and Honda owners have nothing in common.

  • @averagejoeusername i dont even know where to begin with that stupidity...gtp and s2000 are both 12 years old. and no one talks about power per cylinder because it's irrelevant. the s2000 is like hondas top of the line car, so compare it to something like a trans am to be "fair". but mostly i'm glad "GM owners and Honda owners have nothing in common" because i dont have to make riceboy excuses like you do when you get beaten...admit it Forced Induction is always better than n/a

  • @chpenney26 You're an idiot.

  • @chpenney26 Listen you dumb son of a bitch. No one was talking about power "per cylinder". We're talking specific output. Way back in 1999 the JDM S2000 was 123hp/liter and GM STILL cant come close. Only one car on the planet beat that..2009 Ferrarri Italia at 125hp/L. But guys like you don't want to talk about engineering because Government Motors fails. Anything can make power with Forced Induction so THAT is irrelevant. Riceboy? Ignorant redneck corporate welfare asshat.

  • @averagejoeusername Horsepower per liter means nothing, when a car with lower specific output but more total horsepower is beating you! On the street, small engines only provide the loser with an easy excuse. What will the Honda owner do after losing? Whip out his calculator, punch some keys and tell the V-8 owner, "You won, but your engine has lower specific output than my highly superior Integra!!!"

  • @chpenney26 I have too much time on my hands so Im responding to your stupidity. I'm not a kid-I bought my own car. HP isnt the end all be all. My 200HP car will SMOKE a 250HP charger because that car is a pig. My car does 0-60 in 6.xseconds, gets 40MPG, and I can autocross it. What does GM have that can even come CLOSE>? Nothing. Even GM's top car the Vette has a shitty interior. And its floor is made out of fucking WOOD! Look it up, that's quality there.

  • @averagejoeusername what does GM have that can even come close? the Cobalt SS TC would rape a Civic Si and beats the S2000 around a track and in a straight line.. gets better mpg than both as well.

  • @TheAmericanAutos Comparing a Cobalt, GMs ugliest, crappiest car to an S2000, widely held as the best handling production car ever made? That's rich. My RSX-S gets 40mpg and wont explode in 60k miles like a shitty cobalt. A cobalt. Oh god. Car and driver 2009 cobalt ss review "Constructed of plastics cheap enough to be rejected from a chinese toy factory". Anybody can throw a turbo on a car and make it fast. Can it make it past 100k or 200K or 300k miles like a HONDA? NOT!

  • @averagejoeusername i think the same way of the cobalt. THE ugliest car. uglier than a smart and beetle. but yea honda reliabilty FTW. 2004 civic with 185,000 trouble free miles.

  • @crysis860 180,000 miles on the RSX-s. Wifey has 270,000 miles on her CRV. Both run like brand new. Running synthetic for the motor oil probably doesnt hurt though lol.

  • @averagejoeusername serious miles. ive never considered synthetic or high mileage oil for my car. my theory is its been working right so far, dont change it

  • @crysis860 Synthetic is how I'm getting up to 40MPG in my rsx-s!

  • @crysis860 Damn dude you gotta roll with synthetic oil! (I never use high mileage oil) . Synthetic pays for itself in gas mileage and cleans the hell outta your engine (no sludge). Love you honda please get synthetic. Walmart has 5 qt of mobil one for like 25 bux.

  • @averagejoeusername the S2000 is very good, but not widely held as best lol. the Cobalt SS is 2 sec faster than the S2000 CR (no a/c or stereo) on VIR. mazda ms3 (more hp and torque than the Cobalt SS) is 3 seconds SLOWER on VIR. can't just throw a turbo on a car and make it fast, especially fwd. the Cobalt does have a worse interior than the S2000 but costs a lot less, gets much better fuel economy, more practical and won't have to rev the engine past 3,000 just to cruise at 60 mph.

  • @chpenney26 I have too much time on my hands so Im responding to your stupidity..

  • @averagejoeusername Horsepower is horsepower. No matter the engines displacement...and unlike a honda, gm engines have power and torque in both high and low rpm. Hondas have to rev well beyond the redline of many gm engines just to even produce modest horsepower numbers. You can cry all you want but the fact is your car will lose to my car, and you're just making excuses for it. my mommy and daddy didnt hand me down my car like yours did and most honda owners i know are on welfare

  • @chpenney26 GM is on welfare.

  • @chpenney26 You dont know what I drive. How can you be so sure? Im anadult I bought my own car, dumbass. I bet your GM WILL beat my rsx-s-to the JUNKYARD! ANd first to the gas station! I'm rolling 170,000 trouble free miles on a car that does 0-60 in 6.x seconds while getting 40MPG! The RSX is the best car on the planet for my needs. GM cant make a modern car that doesnt blow up in 60,000 miles anyway. Both my friend;s 2009 acadia and 2005 cadillac needed new engines under 100k. What a joke

  • @chpenney26 forget about the nsx?

  • @averagejoeusername Beautifuly said.

  • ricer

  • @jxtsful a ricer is all show and no go,which means it looks good but couldnt get out of its own way. From the video.. clearly not a "ricer"

  • nice gear changes

  • @Shreddinstan when i find a car more solid and fun to drive than an american classic i will stop being a "fanboy". Go drive a 71 monte carlo ss or a chevelle and then hop in one of these civics and tell me your balls dont shrink

  • @minchellas Dude, this video isn't about your shitty monte carlo, this is about a honda civic si. Quit hatin' and respect the car. No one wants to hear nonsense out of your hater lips anyway.

  • @winteriscoming01 No I don't think I will respect it. There is no looks to respect on it, there is mediocre preformance and a fanbase of angsty 18-20 something year olds... yep definetly not going to respect it.

  • @NancyPelosi1954 For a guy who knows nothing about the Civic SI you sure do troll civic videos a lot. "Mediocre" performance? OK buddy-what even comes CLOSE? For over a decade Honda has been making 8000RPM + cars with 100 to 120hp/liter NA. Who does that for 20k? 30? Under 50k? Nobody, thats who.

  • @averagejoeusername mhm another E-investigator cute.

  • my 04 regal gs with a 3.2 in s/c pulley and a flowmaster exhaust is quicker and you spent a helluva lot more money than me lol

  • @minchellas its also a buick regal...how the hell are you gunna pick a girl up in a 2004 regal...fuckin ugly shit car

  • He hits 61mhp 0:12 in...

  • @caos285 It did it in about a sec good job

  • You know what would make this car even faster? BACON

  • Fucking fanboys are gay a good car is a good car! I've owned alot of them from 80s rice burner celica gts and camaro rs to a 97 infinite qx4 and an 04 chevy tahoe 5.3 liter gas guzzler! They all are unique in there own way! I just bought an 09 civic si and there is no doubt in my mind that it is a badass little car! So why don't you faggs appreciate a good car and quit hating on it because you probably don't have one!

  • VTEC JUST KICKED IN PREMATURELY YO

  • @jsiszero

    hahahaha

  • whattt my forte koup 2011 in 4 gear up to 141mph. mennn chnge to kiaaaa honda is bullshittt

  • Giadze- oh yea though guy how about my 99 accord will kill your lil maxima. Can i say H22a euro swap wit 17psi of boost lmfao

  • slow....my 02 maxima would eat this any day, problem with hondas is that they lack of torque and hp, oh and about ur v-tech...u thing u have something? guess what....i got something better....its called VQ35 biatch....top ten best best engines award 10 years in a row

  • @giadze v-tec*

  • @giadze this fool should race my acura i will show you vtec

  • @FlabbyRhinoArms haahahaha trust me, i race enough acura ricers, vq eats vtec anyday, look it up, here is a demonstration VQ 3=======> vtec,

  • @giadze I got some twin scroll 4B11T AWD for the two of you.

  • @giadze

Wrong about 10 years inna row buddy, BMW's 3.0L TT I-6 won it for 3 years straight starting in 07, You're arguement is invalid.

  • @Thtblkbrit hahahahahah look up the history before you open up your mouth BUDDY

  • how the hell is your vtec at 4250 rmp???

  • @Phaac2 Hondata Flashpro tuning software

  • @crazyquady oh i didnt know that the hondata could change the vtec, nice man

  • @crazyquady do u have to set it to engage that low or is that just the way the flashpro comes????

  • @crazyquady What is your advantage with the vtec so low?

  • I'm a huge muscle car fan, but this car is pretty sick all the same :)

  • Comment removed

  • were you wheels spinning after you shifted into third?

  • @Megazerox336 Yah, it chirped them onto third.

  • The Honda 4cyl really make a great noise. Too bad how for 2012 they've made them less revvy and increased displacement.

  • yeah i timed this too. it was right around 19-20 sec 0-100. not bad for a 4 banger. no wonder my stock I/E only LT1 kills these things. no disrespect intended.

  • Ses en mph en ;)

  • nasty shifting

  • why did you lower the VTEC engagement point to only 4250? Don't you shift at around 4500? That's when I shift my buddy's SI.

  • @JobeMinacum i believe with the hondata, it'll only hit v-tec if your flooring it. But if just cruising around, it'll drive normal. Also, anything above 6000 will automatically be in v-tec.

  • 0 - 100 in 20 sec?? i think i can run faster than that

  • @TheAzieDhingra U can run 100mph? afuckinmazing

  • @EmeraldraiNNN yea... im not a fat ass so i move pretty quick

  • nice car but still tooooooo slow

  • @mcycey1113 watch the launch vids, they are a bit better.

  • i have a bone stock mugen si and its faster then that..

  • @integymike00 Good for you, i have an evo thats faster than your mugen.

  • @crazyquady and i have a supra that will shit on all of you.

  • @bmcp3232 vids?

  • @bmcp3232 I have a ZL1 that'll shit on all your cars.

  • @Mr2010Luistorres Vids or your a liar

  • @Mr2010Luistorres wrong. a tuned supra will make your camaro look like a smart car

  • @bmcp3232 any vids of this uber-fast supra yet?

  • @integymike00

Dude the civic and mugen are the same engine. Unless you live in Japan.

  • 0 a 100 em 8seg.show...

  • @oaziul1 you got a english translation for that gibberish?

  • @crazyquady "0-100 in 8 sec. awesome.."

  • @iag0123 awesome? it'd say "awesome" if he did it in 6. cuz that's what si's should do. 8 is not an accomplishment. auto reviewers rate si in mid 6

  • @Shuffle3956 i didn't say it's awesome, i just translated what @oaziul1 said ^^

  • @iag0123 8 more like 19 seconds lol shits slow as hell

  • @connor040606 shut up fucking noob you know nothing about honda stock it does 0-60 MPH in 6.5 sec so... he doing like 6 sec 0-60 that fucking good for a 2.0L N/A

  • @FrankiPowerZ lol y are u up set, its just a slow car, and honestly i counted 7 seconds on the timer, thats pathetic. My wife has a si civic so i know about honda jackass.

  • @connor040606 find another 2l N/A did that

  • @connor040606 OMG didn't you notice it too ? i just translated what oaziul1 said and crazyquady asked for a translation... -.-

  • @iag0123 more like 12

  • good shifting man

  • watch my other videos where i actually luanch it

  • Is this really how u used to launch your Si? No wonder u thought it was slow. lol

  • well it sounds good, but its tooked you 18 sw to get 100 kh.... that to mach time///

  • @raananisrael those are mph...

  • ахахахаха)))))))))))))

  • I really like how it sounds !

  • 0-100km/h 12.3 second)))))))))))))))

  • @JetSetRo its mph....

  • @JetSetRo No, 0-161km/h 12.3 second

  • thats soo nice

  • Personally, I would save up a couple more paychecks for a Skunk2 or Invidia headers to match a 70mm Skunk2 or Invidia cat back with their 70mm collector. The 50mm collector on the Strup headers does no justice for a high-performance cat back systems.

  • @eclipze02 I couldnt justify spending almost twice the amount for a "better" header and only see mybe a 4Hp difference. I do agree that if going F/I with a supercharger it would be worth it but I already parted out and sold the car anyway.

  • in theory having the vtec kick in earlier should help acceleration and performance in general because vtec is where you get the 197hp so if you have that for a longer time, you should be going faster sooner, so does that help your 0-60 time?

  • @desimunda116

It would work to a certain point. Small engines need to rev higher to make more torque, which makes more horsepower. If you lower VTEC to too low of a point, there isn't enough torque or horsepower and you just bog the engine.

  • @MassiveLemon oh i see its not like if you set it to kick in at like 4k that you'll have instant max power it still needs to build up...i see thx for explaining that mate

  • @desimunda116

It's not like turbo lag where a certain RPM activates a boost threshold. You'd have to do dyno tuning to find your car's earliest point.

  • @MassiveLemon are all civic si's different or is it about the same where this guy has it

  • @desimunda116

It really depends, since all the engines are made by machines, this guy's engine could have better valves or yours could. It'll take some magic fingers on the dyno :D

  • really slow why is that

  • @elpelonchas2

because its a 4 banger honda

  • hey i was wondering bro, is the skunk2 really loud in the back seat? when your just daily driving not gunnin it. i was thinkin bout gettin that exhaust i got a si sedan, and i got a 2 year old son i wont want it to hurt his ears. i also am gettin strup header and injen cai but idk if i should get short ram or cai.

  • @XxFolksxX Its pretty loud, i liked it for awhile but to be honest i wouldnt buy it again. For me it took most of the fun out of driving because i was constantly trying to keep it quiet, in the lower rpms. Watch your rpms and where you shift, anything over 3k and people 3 blocks away can hear you. I was giong to get a apexi ws2 or nior but i ended up just trading that car off for a new silverado.

  • @crazyquady the noir is quieter right?

  • it really help that v-tec are in 4200 ????

  • @luisfranco29 no, most likely he's loosing power..

  • @abzdefg321123 lol, name one N/A tuner that does not lower vtec crossover. This was a stock basemap directly from HONDATA, if they dont know what there doing nobody does.

  • And, he seems to be "powersh!tiing" aswell...WEAKSAUSE?

  • @aberham452 not powershifting, not that serious, and was not trying to launch either. But yes its a Honda so it it is weaksauce. Watch the launch 1,2, and 3 videos if you wanna

  • Is it just me or... the RSX-s(Kpro) seem to have longer wheel-spin(no tractions) between gears 1-2? The Kpro seems stronger... unless its cuz of the k20z3's LSD?

  • @aberham452 Yes the LSD helps alot, this was simply a run on a basemap, the car is not tuned in this vid, launch vids are with a street tune.

  • @aberham452 RSX-S dont have LSD?

  • no the rsx/rsx-sdid not come with LSD

  • @crazyquady o wow never new that!

whats the highest you can set ur vtec kick in?

  • you can change it to whatever you want with the flashpro, but if your not tuned for it it wont matter. But since the Si has

(I)-vtec there is a window right now mine is set 3800-5100, so It can come on at anytime before that depending on MAP pressure and after 5100 it is always on.

  • Thanks for watching my video!

  • careful with those front plates in the front like that make sure its really jammed in there or else it could come flying at you one day......happened to me once when it wasnt jammed in all the way and almost hit me but I had mine placed on the passenger side

  • My dad had an 07 Si. They are fantastic cars. I loved driving that car. Just got myself a RSX-S myself. Basically your car but older......and with leather
