very god foucs and god colors like the birds ,trying to get some outdoor video by using a Samsung SMX-F70BP/EDC i notic the battery drops very fast in the cold on my modell is your working better in the cold?

@DWAX3 I haven't used this camera for quite awhile.You'll have to go through the menu.

@ElFloCar I just use the Smart Auto setting and need good weather for good results.

I just bought an f40 today and have ordered an 8gb SDHC card (class 10) to go with it. Needless to say, I haven't tried out the camcorder yet, but if I can get a video quality as good as the one you've posted here I will be more than happy. I'd wanted something for a beginner and occasional user; the f40 was perfectly priced. Thanks for showing a sample of what this neat little camcorder can do.

I bought an f40 a month ago, but I still haven't maximized its features to get a good quality video like yours. I'm wondering how you edited this video, and what settings you used while filming it.

Whenever I viewed my videos, line would appear whenever I pan, or if when the subject is in motion. :|

@chabayonique I just set the camera on TV Super Fine and use Smart Auto along with Intelli-Studio....I'm not sure about panning lines,if your SD card is less than a class 6 that might be the problem,but I really don't know.

@ayoitzadam I just use the Smart Auto setting all the time.I've tried setting things manually,but can't improve on the Smart Auto setting.

I know bandwidth and youtube and many factors have to do with video quality but this doesn't look that fantastic at all at 720p on my 20" imac. Maybe it's just me but the first few videos don't show much detail in the seeds and at range with this class of camcorder it certainly should. I'm sure youtube doesn't do the original video justice.

@deftdrummer It's not 720p,Samsung Intelli-Studio always says 720p after a HD camera has been used with it.I use the same program with my Flip sometimes.

@not2vu Oh ok, thanks! well the video looks fantastic this convinced me to pick up an F40. Even in 360p this video still looks fantastic. How did you make it 720p?

@Beatlesfan1225 I was afraid somebody would ask that.It has shown 720p ever since I used my Flip HD with the Samsung program,I've seen that on other F40 videos.I hardly ever click on 720p anyways.The F40 battery life is great....good luck.

@Sandzak95 Yes,16:9 and the TV Fine setting.The setting Web Fine gives black bars at the sides.
