i have a question, found some lava underground, and when i use water on it, it doesn't make obsidian it just makes stone, i used the x ray vision texture pack earlier today did it mess up my ability to create obsidian? and can you pick up lava with buckets, it wont work for me. Thx

This is Beta 1.3 footage... in 1.1 the water keeps flowing and therefore does not work on SMP. I dont think itll work on SP either.

@DeathByShot Go down to where Y~11 (I believe to check your coordinates, you have to press the F3 button on your Keyboard, and look for the X Y and Z values, Y=Height), there are usually REALLY big lava pools around there, so you'll have plenty of lava at your disposal.

@SuperJoshanater You might have a older version of mine craft, but try using the water on the lava. If that doesn't work use the lava on the water, i had the same problem but that was with making individual pieces of obsidian with buckets of lava lol.
