  • Go, Grover!

  • I remember this cute skit!

  • This show encourages imagination! :P This is why I love bedtime!

  • @KiokoTama encouragED! Unfortunately, shows like this are no longer made. In fact, I wonder if kids today know what make-believe and pretend is??

  • @Dortmunderstrasse Tell me about it... I help out at a drama club, and the children are so stagnant it's unbelievable!!!

They didn't know how to act, or have fun doing so; I blame Dora the Explorer , and CoD.

  • Grover must have had a blue flashlight under the covers with him, lol.

  • I love you Grover!

  • Hot water in the desert?

  • the very end of this scared me when i was a kid

  • Yea me too! the song at the end is creepy

  • @toadetterocksmysocks it scared me also. lol I really didn't like this one at all til when I got older.

  • Yeah, me too!

  • "Oh, be still, my little heart."

  • Can anyone find a clear copy of this clip

with Grover's gasps as he hides under

the blanket? "Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!"

I didn't think he sounded that scared, but

    appearently, the show's producers did,

so they were replaced with the sound

    of the blanket crumpling.

  • I remember Grover saying that as he was under the blanket. Maybe a lot of young kids watching this skit got scared hearing Grover saying that while he was under the blanket, so that might be the reason why it was replaced with Grover's blanket making that sound. (Also, maybe the young kids parents complained about hearing Grover saying "oh, oh, oh," which is another reason they replaced the blanket crumpling sound).

  • @afriendofbean Maybe the young kids parents let their minds run away with them. Which is ironic considering grovers next line after the edit.

  • Yes that might be true true. I guess the young kids parents might have contacted PBS to get rid of Grover saying " oh, oh, oh" so PBS must have put the video on mute and somebody must have shook plastic bags so it will sound like the blanket is crumbling. (The parents probably didn't like it just for future little kids). I agree, it was also strange that they had to replace with the blanket crumbling sound after Grover's next line where he was talking to the audience like he was all safe.

  • This sketch is also seen on the video "Bedtime Stories & Songs".

  • The Plaza Sesamo version had a much sweeter music cue at the end, which I prefer to this one.

  • BTW MarshalGrover, I have something I would like to ask you...

Which episode of "Plaza Sesamo" was the Spanish Version of this skit seen on?

  • One of the best Grover ones ever.

  • don't you love him ruffling the sheets that are made of cotton but sound like satin

  • Who doesn't?

  • I have this on the Play With Me Sesame DVD:Imagine With Me.

  • That's great!

  • Thank you.

  • You're welcome.

  • I did this when I was a kid after I saw the Grover skit.

  • I sort of did, too.
