I could barely understand you :( But I did enjoy listening to what I COULD understand :) I liked your lesson plan too ^_^ I hope to apply this month :)
Hey I have an interview with Aeon tomorrow. I don't have much teaching experience I've only been a T.A. for ESL courses at my university. I'm doing a directional lesson for my 5 min lesson. It's a game where one student gives the other student directions and the first student has to guess where something is.
I hope it's enough I really want to work for Aeon. Had you ever taught before Aeon? what advice would you give me.
Wow I didn't realise this vid was getting such negative comments. Anyway I have just finished working with aeon and you get what you put in.
If you are good teacher you should apply.
I think aeon has a lot of jobs going so I think you have a good chance.
Japan is a safe, friendly country with a great respect for foreigners. If you can show them the same respect and offer them enjoyable informative classes then you are perfect to go to japan.

I have been invited to the group interview this upcoming October and I am really excited. Do you know what the odds of being selected are? How was living in Japan? Are you still there? For some reason when I try to access the website listed at the end of the video it does not show up. I am not sure if that is because this video was dated quite long ago. Congrats though, and I hope you had/ are having a wonderful time!
Oh I did get the job. I had such a cheap camera. Ive been here in japan for a year and a half. I've been quite successful at it too so I encourage any mumbler to give it a go! :)
The "bottom of the barrel" are the Nova "teachers." Now Nova went bankrupt, ^-^ and these disgruntled teachers try to seek overpaid jobs at other language schools. But even the crap schools like ECC and Geos have minimal standards. LOL! So these unemployable losers spend their days expressing hate toward Japan on YouTube.
MESSAGE TO DISGRUNTLED EX-NOVA TEACHERS IN JAPAN: DON'T BE ANGRY ECC, GEOS, BERLITZ, ETC. WONT GIVE YOU A JOB. YOU HAVE NO QUALIFICATIONS.
In Japan there are many foreigners who are invited as our beloved guests to teach English. Normally, they are paid double Japanese salaries, because they have an amazing qualification: they happened to be born in an English speaking country. Wow! Apart from that, they are unqualified and unemployable at home.
I know you commented over 2 years ago, but I've just come across this video and I think you're wrong! I want to teach English in Japan, I come from a top 100 University in America and I'm employable in my own country! It's so rude for you to assume the worst in native-English speaking teachers and I hope if I go to Japan I don't meet negative people like you.
yes any degree is fine with them. I think its mainly just for the visa. You need the degree to show you have completed education to that level. The job role is pretty much unqualified, it seems to be based on if your personality fits. Hope that helps
I was invited to parties of Nova teachers in Japan. They are just mindless losers and bimbos obsessed with drugs, sex, and frequently changing sexual partners. They are spreading STDs in Japan and selling drugs to underage children.
These unprofessional people have no teaching qualification. They can't teach English, and they are definitely not worth the money.
What do you mean by "university" degrees? Cambridge, Harvard, and Tokyo are universities. But 90% of universities are just universities in name only with no real standard. Do you mean accredited universities? Accredited by whom? I can't trust those crackerjack degrees.
Why do you tar all eikaiwa teachers with the same brush?
Nova, Aeon, and Geos employ the shit teachers.
Berlitz employs the better teachers. Also, if we consider Gaidai, they employ better teachers.
Every year there are several teachers who come to Japan on the JET program who get deported owing to sexual relations with junior high school students.
All over Japan, I got placed in Aomori
I guess tokyo and osaka are the most popular choices so try and be flexible and youll have a better chance of getting a position

Did you end up getting the job?
I also ended up getting rejected by ECC. I think it was due to lack of the personality they wanted.

I dont think he did lol. He doesn't have very good public speaking skills, even in his own video.

毎年、JETプログラムでやってくるかなりの数の英語教師の中には、不謹慎にも生徒、つまり中学生と性的な関係を持った者も少な くない。
