Free energy has been here for a while ,But Elite controllers don't want ppl to be free from the costs of energy,Get a motor that needs no gas or electric input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Start the revolution!
Europe is further ahead than the USA."wave dragon" scoops water into a basin, then releases it to turn turbines. General Electric has taken a small stake in Ocean Power. marine energy is far more predictable than wind. Tidal flows — bay or river currents that shift several times daily based on the moon's gravitational pull — can be forecast years in advance. Satellite images foretell wave heights, which trace wind patterns, days ahead. That lets utilities use generators more efficiently
It's going on in Ft. Lauderdale. I ran into an old friend who's a welder on the project. He's a neohippy type who also likes to build stuff, so it's right up his alley. If I can find him again, I'll see if I can get some pics and stuff.
Because it works? Basic chemistry. If there was something better, we'd leave the oil in the ground. When there's something better (and there will be!), oil will be a chapter in history books. See anyone lighting their BBQ grill with two rocks?
Oil works but Sweden, Germany and the UK are passing policies with the Goal of phasing out OIl completely by 2020. Currently all of them have around 10% of their energy needs based on renewables.
As we "DRILL BABY DRILL" all those other countries wont give a SHIT about the price of Oil. So while we wait for the "free market" to adjust, we will still be dependant on OIL.
How much do you think the price of OIl will be in 10 years.. 20 years?
You know Europe makes better use of nuke than we do (and everything else). When they say "Let's use alternatives" they don't backstab and put out legislation to block said alternatives. It's one of the few things I admire about Europolitics. I personally want to see gas at $1.50 a gallon. Why? Because that will mean it's been mostly replaced. But there's a right way and many wrong ways to get there.
That will never happen, the developing world and Arab nations will use it untill it runs out. Research peak oil, the cost will rise and rise umtil its end.
"But there's a right way and many wrong ways to get there."
Developed nations can get off oil since they have the resources to do so. And we can get there but we NEVER get there by drilling for more oil.
AmericanSolutions is doing oil companies bidding, they want the US depandant as long as possible.
When gas goes back to $1.50 a gallon it will be because it's been replaced. And other nations will be quick to take up any advances that let them skip this whole deal the US is going through. It's happened in other areas of tech advances, like agriculture. We research, they advance.
You can't mandate alternatives, outside of securing funding for real research. And no one, not even the Messiah, is promising that. My guess? It's going to come from entrepreneurs, engineers, and tinkerers, and NASA, just like most of the useful tech we have now ! I only rely on gov't for a few things-running the military, counting for the census, and talking a lot. The rest is up to us. U.S. The non-elected majority.
Wrong... research the energy policies of UK, Germany, Sweden even China.
The US Govt sets the energy agenda, private enterprise carries out the plan...ITS ALWAYS BEEN THAT WAY.
When all these countries are completely off oil and the Euro continues to grow, the US will continue to go into resession every time Oil increases in price. Thats what happens when you base your energy needs on a volatile product like OIL.
Look at Obama's energy purposal, he can get us off Forign oil by renewables and conversavtion within 10 years.
McCain's answer: drill baby drill.
But I know you wont look, you have set in your mind the republican way is the best, you wont research each issue, you just keep FAITH in your polical party. Thats is so UN-American
The U.S. mandated improved economy for the U.S. automakers. Despite their best efforts, they are reaping rotten fruit. We pay dearly for that harvest.
I do my research. As a child, I rarely trusted the words of an adult. As an adult, I've kept this habit and call it good. You're uninformed on certain aspects of their politics, economy, or both.
I know people from Europe. Europe is not ahead of the U.S. in anything except art collections. I do admire their use of rail systems, though.
Those countrys reliance on renewable energy souces are much higher than the USA.
That means they ARE ahead of us.
DRILL BABY DRILL..is the call of the OIL Companies, they are the ONLY ones that benefit from Drilling. You and the Republican party is helping them make recorde profits.
"Renewable energy Germany"
Go to wikipedia search and replace GERMANY will all the other countries I listed, LEARN THE TRUTH!
Their reliance is higher BECAUSE their petroproduct prices are insane, and not the other way 'round. Necessity is still the mother of invention.
I also admire France's energy production, I must say. Their electricity is much cleaner than everyone else, and not as subject to oil market variations.
Thier prices are becuase they tax it... thus less poeple will want to use it and thus renewables become more attractive. Also the tax money goes to fund renewable energy, thats how you get off oil.
No, France sucks. They sell advanced weaponry to any scum with the cash, like the Russians. Their electricity generation is good, 73% nuclear. Their ghettos are well-designed, also. They're easily blockaded, in case the lower class rise up against the elite. They can all be contained and destroyed withing a block of their homes. Still like France? btw the U.S. gov't makes more money per gallon of gas sold than the oil company that made it. Why hasn't that taxcash been put to research?
Between 2002 and 2006, nearly a third of the 55-person staff in the Denver office received gifts and gratuities from oil and gas companies, the investigators found.
Devaney said the former head of the Denver Royalty-in-Kind office, Gregory W. Smith, used illegal drugs and had sex with subordinates. The report said Smith also steered government contracts to a consulting business that was employing him part-time.
"This all shows the oil industry holds shocking sway over the administration and even key federal employees," said Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla. "This is why we must not allow big oil's agenda to be jammed through Congress."
WASHINGTON - Government officials handling billions of dollars in oil royalties engaged in illicit sex with employees of energy companies they were dealing with and received numerous gifts from them, federal investigators said Wednesday. The investigations reveal a "culture of substance abuse and promiscuity" by a small group of individuals "wholly lacking in acceptance of or adherence to government ethical standards," wrote Inspector General Earl E. Devaney.
The alleged transgressions involve 13 Interior Department employees in Denver and Washington. Their alleged improprieties include rigging contracts, working part-time as private oil consultants, and having sexual relationships with — and accepting golf and ski trips and dinners from — oil company employees, according to three reports released Wednesday by the Interior Department's inspector general.
A former Halliburton exec has pleaded guilty to being in cahoots with crooked foreign officials. He's now helping US investigators, and a much wider crackdown is expected to unfold.

In the world of Big Oil, Albert "Jack" Stanley was legendary for winning billion-dollar contracts
Stanleys case is the first in what federal officials believe will be a string of indictments in coming months against US corporate executives who have particpated in bribing foreign officials in recent years
Stanley promises to become a hammer for federal investigators seeking to crack open additional cases under a 30yearold statute designed to halt overseas corporate corruption. About 80 cases involving major corporations accused of overseas bribery were under investigation as of last year
against corporations based there. The $182 million in bribes were allegedly paid not just by Halliburton but by its partners, an international consortium of engineering companies from France, Italy and Japan. The United Kingdom has jurisdiction, too, because much of the bribery scheme was, according to court documents, hatched in London, where Stanley maintained a sumptuous home
Stanley has already acknowledged paying bribes to unnamed senior Nigerian officials, although reports have identified the primary recipient as Nigeria's late president, Sani Abacha. Stanley also has admitted receiving kickbacks of $10.8 million from contracts that Halliburton and predecessor companies signed with governments in Nigeria, Malaysia, Egypt and Yemen. Government officials in those countries, with the exception of Abacha, have not yet been implicated
Stanley's testimony may also pose concerns for Vice President Dick Cheney, who ran Halliburton between 1995 and 2000, when Stanley was appointed as KBR's chief executive officer. Cheney has consistently denied wrongdoing.
Now 65, Stanley spent nearly his entire career in the oil business, a globe-trotting high-level roustabout who made a specialty of dealing with governments in resource-rich, accountability-poor countries. He owned a million-dollar home in Texas and a residence in one of London's swankest neighborhoods -- a property that he will now have to sell under his plea agreement.
OO WEE WE LOVE BIG OIL YES SIR The bribery scandal is one of many involving Halliburton's KBR subsidiary in the past several years. KBR has repeatedly been criticized for overbilling the U.S. government for providing food, fuel and other services to U.S. soldiers in Iraq. Last year, Halliburton spun off KBR into a separate corporation.
In comments Tuesday at the Motor Press Guild in Los Angeles,Chrysler Vice Chairman and President Jim Press said the vehicles are being developed by Chrysler's Envi unit, which the automaker created last year to create electric vehicles."We are excited about the Envi organization, and we continue to work toward electric vehicles, Deneau said in an interview Wednesday.
Press said the vehicles can reach 60 mph(100 kph)in less than four seconds and have a range of at least 300 miles(480 kilometers)
I find it curious that journalists have not hopped on the fact that the Republican's VP candidate's husband is an employee of British Petroleum, whose majority stockholder is the Queen of England. I am a former employee of Standard Oil (Ohio) before BP bought it out for 51% ownership. His job is clearly a conflict of interest for HER. But, before telling him he's got to quit his job, check out how much money he makes a year from BP on the North Slope with a high school degree.
TORONTO - A chunk of ice shelf nearly the size of Manhattan has broken away from Ellesmere Island in Canada's northern Arctic, another dramatic indication of how warmer temperatures are changing the polar frontier, scientists said Wednesday.
Derek Mueller, an Arctic ice shelf specialist at Trent University in Ontario, told The Associated Press that the 4,500-year-old Markham Ice Shelf separated in early August and the 19-square-mile shelf is now adrift in the Arctic Ocean.
Wind power is the fastest-growing energy source in the world. Siemens is rapidly expanding its manufacturing capacities in this exciting new business with powerful offshore wind parks, growing much faster than the market. With more than 6,300 wind turbines around the world, Siemens helps to save up to 10 million tons of CO2 emissions per year. As the market leader in offshore wind energy, Siemens offers the largest serially produced offshore wind turbines,
I know Newt's not the brightest bulb in the bunch, but he must see the irony of a campaign called 'Drill Here, Drill Now' giving out 'Free Gas' in search for solutions to our energy problem. Jeez Newt. It's not hard to guess who's paying for your gas this days.
first he never said anything about sticking up for him ...you made that up. second who the fuck are THEY ? you eed to shut the fuck up for once and do some GD homework ad get your facts straight. the oil co are holding more leases than you know, Palins husband works for BP for gods sake wake the fuck up would you.
The United States sits atop just 3 percent of the world's proven oil reserves, but burns one quarter of global production. Sixty percent of what it uses daily is imported.
yes I am serious I highly support sex. Young teen couples should not have to be punished with having a baby. Also if the baby is born into a unprepared family he will grow up to be a bad person and wish his parents would have aborted him. are you anti-sex? people like you fucken piss me off!
I dont have kids and I dont want kids! I have been a pain on my parents and I do not want to experience that pain myself! fuck pro-life/anti-sex/pro-poverty!
i bet thats what you think about EVERYBODY, cause it looks to me like these ppl have better comments than you. you dont have ANY facts to back up your comments. and even when i ask you about this suposed "America has 3x the oil that Saudi Arabia has" i get no reponse from you, ensuring that your statement is false. i would guess. ive looked for it i cant find it, in any article.
wanna know what the real pitty is here, when your obnoxious ass gets old guess whos gonna have to pay for your care. huh who asswipe. ppl like me thats who. are your sons and daughters going to take care of you NO...WHY?
cause you never had kids thats why. now whos gonna take care of you huh ......?????????
who you selfish fuckin prick who. my GD taxpayer dollars thats who. so you can run your mouth all you want but in the end your just another sorry, lonley asshole nobody cares about.
because no one cares, and by the way, "anti-sex" is hilarious, as if anyone is anti-sex in this world. Yeah right. Teen sex, maybe, old people sex, definitely.
ATTENTION: Apparently chevron oil (corrupt American oil company) bought the rights to NiMH battery technology so they could prevent auto manufacturers from using it to build more efficient hybrid vehicles and force us to keep buying gasoline. The name of the company that produced the NiMH batteries used to be Ovionic Battery Systems, but Chevron and Texaco bought the company and changed the name to Cobasys and made it impossible for auto manufacturers to buy the batteries. Search it for yourself
Investing in drilling now means more expenses now for oil companies, which means higher prices now. This for a possible drop in lower oil prices in about 20 years when current investment in drilling will pay off.
It's saying something that the people running this contest don't have enough creativity to create their own videos. If they could think that way, maybe they'd see that more drilling is not a solution.
Doing nothing is not a solution either. Quit swallowing the mantra of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi & Michael Moron... This is America we're talking about; we're looking at about a 2 yr. turnaround from new drilling.
Can you explain to me why/how oil prices dropped when all we did was start talking about drilling again??
Dig the coal, build the nukes, suck the natural gas and lassoo the wind! NOW!!!
Oil prices dropped when we started talking about drilling because the people who want to drill are the people who control oil prices.
And I didn't say do nothing.
If you want to reduce consumption and prices what about raising gas mileage requirements? Technology exists to double gas mileage, but it's not being used. Require all vehicles built to be hybrids or better.
Natural Gas? Wind? Solar? Fuel Cells? Biofuels? Public transit? Dump all your investment into developing these.
We need to dispellthe myth of oil being a 'fossil fuel'. Truly, there were not that many dinosaurs. While we're at it we need to dispell the myth of GLOBAL WARMING. Global Climate Change is inevitable...search Sahara desert 5000 years ago....long before Exxon, Henry Ford and the rest of the industrialists.
ok i'll bite, let's do it for the children, can we agree on that? I'm in LA and the smog SUCKS. Alt energy cars produce no smog. It's pretty simple, cmon people! WE CAN DOOO EEEET
Fine, bring on the alternatives, I encourage it. The only problem is.... they won't come fast enough. As soon as the 'markets' will support alternatives (and I don't mean burning our food/corn based ethanol) we will have a choice. Detroit/the big 3 will only retool 1 time so, whatever we decide on, hydrogen, natural gas or transporter beam, had better be right.
the answer your looking for is already in the hands of some of the worolds largest muti-national companies, for example take a look at the worl British petrolium is doing with solar panels. they arent doing it cause its inefective or cost prohibitive thats for sure. its the bottom line and they know it means profit.Shell same thing here too wind and solar online now.
People seem to think that the only thing driving the price of gas is greedy oil companies. It's not that simple or dramatic.
The real problem is raising demand in developing economies, such as China, who's oil consumption has nearly doubled over the past decade, while global production struggles to keep up.
It's supply and demand. When the demand goes up, it strains the supply, and prices go up. That's why we need to increase our supply by drilling our own oil offshore and in the ANWR.
We should also stop using ethanol. Ethanol is made from corn, and more corn is being used to make ethanol than ever. Corn is generally used to make animal feed, so when so much of it is being used to make ethanol, less of it is used to make feed, making it cost more to raise farm animals.
When the price of raising animals goes up, the price of meat, milk, and fertilizer goes up, which in turn raises the price of vegetables.
I don't think it's all greedy oil companies that are driving up the cost of oil. I think that greedy energy speculators have helped drive up the cost of oil.
Many innovative German companies have advanced to become international technological leaders, providing key components for the wind energy, hydropower, solar energy, geothermic and biomass sectors. "Renewables made in Germany" are considered amongst the world leaders and are therefore being used all over the world.
Oil investors feared the hurricane could eventually threaten the Gulf's many drilling platforms. Traders on the New York Mercantile Exchange were caught off guard by how fast the storm was upgraded to a hurricane, and the price for a barrel of oil jumped $5 within minutes Tuesday morning.
i first drove a RAV$-EV over ten years ago, when they were being showcased and demo rides were givin. i wanted one right then, and i would have purchased one . but sadly i was told there was a waiting list and it might be two years before i could get one. since then they still drive by me every now and then still with the original markings.

your just not willing to change, just like so many americans. here is some of what can be done WITHOUT the dirty little biz of big oil."(The facility, located in Rio Hondo Texas, will produce an estimated 4.4 million gallons of algal oil and 110 million lbs. of biomass per year off a series of saltwater ponds spanning 1,100 acres. Twenty of those acres will be reserved for the experimental production of a renewable JP8 jet-fu)"
SACRAMENTO - The Ford Motor Co. has said it will sell two Ford Ranger electric pickup trucks to a pair of lease holders who staged sit-ins at a Sacramento Ford dealer rather than surrender the vehicles as requested by the nation's second largest automaker.
The range and speed you are describing sounds like really low performance when comapared to the combustion engine. You can keep throwing all these examples out that you want but none of them can replace oil any time soon. You act like that range and speed are impressive ! They're not!! Imagine trying to find somewhere to charge your batteries when your out on the Interstate. Not everyone lives in the city limits. Charging on the go !! Takes to long !!!
good god man your just too much. the ford ranger is a proven electric truck, so is the chey S-10, and also the toyota rav 4 EV.
anyone who has had a chance to get behind the wheel of one of these vehicles knows the only difference between the electrics and thier ICE counterparts is electrics are cleaner, cheaper to run, have less breakdowns, dont require oil(LOL),antifreeze, airfilters, sparkplugs, complicated vacum and emmission systems, particulate matter, catalytic converters, mufflers, noise, ect...
take PG&E for example they now have a fleet of pheonix motor cars SUT 110 mile range ad goes 95 mph and its a truck, now if this is the case then, i know your not dumb so how long do you think it would be till bigger better trucks came along? really these are nobrainer questions.of course the cost will come down and of course there will be every type size and shape known to man.look if you wat to better the nations infastucture
Chrysler also debuted a Dodge Zeo electric sports car with a range of 250 miles, and a Chrysler ecoVoyager powered by a plug-in battery that has a total range of 300 miles
Phoenix's SUT can travel at freeway-speeds while carrying five passengers and a full payload. The SUT exceeds all specifications for a Type III ZEV, having a driving range of over 100 miles, can be recharged in less than 10 minutes and has a battery pack with a lifespan of more than 12 years
At AMP in Cincinnati, Ohio, we set out to make a difference. And now The AMP® is here. Imagine... 0 to 60 mph in about 5.7 seconds...150 miles per charge...125 mpg equivalent...a great looking Saturn design...all in a safe vehicle with safe batteries...no gas required, simply plug it in. A complete "fill up" costs about the same as one gallon of gas.
Ok smart guy. Now add some weight to that car as in a 6 member family. How many miles does that go down? Just how long would it take to do a complete recharge? Say you want to go on vacation with your family and at the end of that 150 or probaly way less miles what are you going to do? Where are you going to charge the batteries. Are you going to ask some gas station if you can borrow an A/C outlet. Remember you have to push or tow the car to the nearest outlet.
your wrong again as your uneducated words hacve shown time and time again. why dont you read the posts and then do research on the topic. as a matter of fact you should read the posts presented on this page for example.
do you reallly think i could make all thoses posts about electric trucks, cars , boats, and planes. if it didnt exisit, no i couldnt.
thats why electric cars and hybrids have waiting lists right now. your lost
"Hybrid Technologies is prepared and capable of mass production of electric taxis in New York." That's quite a statement, what with over 12,000 medallion taxi cabs in New York HT says that City Hall has requested more taxis and medallion owners like the reduced medallion fees and the possibilities of federal and state emissions initiatives and grants when driving green. It sounds like HT's next step is to build "up to 200 lithium powered long range taxis for fleet placement in New York City
An ultra-lightweight plane built from carbon fiber and powered using paper-thin solar panels has broken the world record for longest-lasting unmanned flight

yea so thats right all those things are tied to oil but the difference between you and me is dont use all those things you just rambled off, look for youself how many of those things do you use?
this almost dosent deserve a reply. Those things are so tied in Everyones's lives that most wouldnt even realize it. Electric and solar cars are not new to the scene, they are just not viable for replacing oil. Get off the Obama Kool Aid Please
The electric vehicle, set for sale in 2009, carried a 300 kilogram (660 pounds) lithium-ion battery and still zipped around a Nissan Motor Co. test course, accelerating more quickly than comparable gas-engine cars.
Escape EV has a claimed 200miles with the expensive battery option (14K), Phoenix has 130mile range, and I'm not interested in concepts. All fall short of my needs, and all will have about half their claimed range in sub zero temperatures. Lion battery packs loose 20% capacity every year even if they're not used. (the reason prius uses NiMH) In 2-1/2 yrs they'll have half their original capacity, in 5yrs they'll be dead. Then you get to pony up another 14K for a new one. Yay
The Smith Newton 7.5t tipper truck has a top speed of 50mph and travels up to 100 miles on a single charge. The truck's body is built from an ultra-light, totally recyclable material, and it comes with power-assisted steering, front and rear suspension, and a hydraulic brake system. The Smith Newton, as favoured by CEVA Logistics, is the world's first high performance 7.5 tonne electric vehicle. It the first ever in its class that can compete with its diesel equivalent - but without the polluting
solvents ha, LP records lol this is exactly the thing im talking about .....say goodbye to mister "LOST IN THE PAST" its sad really the addiction level is so high you just cant let go can you.
Solar Energy CANNOT replace coal, Nuclear or coal right now. This is a fantasy. There is NO viable alternative to oil right now. Why dont you people see that.
So you think these backyard science expieriments enable America to do away with oil right now ?? And you say I dont know what Im talking about! Dont you realize how many cars are on the road and the infrastructure that would have to be changed. We do want to do more research into alternative sources but there is no way that oil can be replaced right now. If we are going to HAVE to use oil, why not get it from our own country for at least secutity and yes price
take PG&E for example they now have a fleet of pheonix motor cars SUT 110 mile range ad goes 95 mph and its a truck, now if this is the case then, i know your not dumb so how long do you think it would be till bigger better trucks came along? really these are nobrainer questions.of course the cost will come down and of course there will be every type size and shape known to man.look if you wat to better the nations infastucture
Besides, are you so sure that so many americans can just go run out and buy a new expensive electric or solar car. We need OIL now. We need more Nuclear and coal NOW. Alternative energy sources are to far into the future to be talikng about doing away with oil. The Republicans do want to invest in research for alternatives but hell.. at the very least we need to have access to American oil for security reasons
Royal Mail has a fleet of over 33,000 commercial delivery vehicles operating across the UK and has one of the largest fleets in Europe.Westminster TranServ, the Balfour Beatty and Mouchel Group joint venture which provides services to Westminster City Council, has boosted its 'green fleet' with a Smith Newton 7.5t truck with a tipper body
All of you dumb asses that agree with Obama's tire pressure stance must be assuming that all Americans are driving around with under inflated tires. What a fucking joke You try and run with the idea that even John Mccain thinks it a good idea. Well, not so fast !! He never said he agreed Obama that is all we need to do to put the drilling issue to rest. He just just simply agrees its a good idea to have your tires properly inflated. How in the hell can any of you take this OBAMA Faggot seriously
I am a real piece of work ?? And your an Obama supporter !! What a joke! The guy thinks its ok for a baby that survived an abortion to not be given rights as a human being and be given health care. Anyone that can overlook that FACT about Obama is the REAL piece of work! What a disgrace. And you say Im a hate monger..LOL, Look at all the crazy as hell America Haters in this country. There are Liberals such as yourself who are calling our brave soldiers mass murderers and even burning the flag.
wait dont you dare talk about the soldiers that way you F&*(&*(% prick my own kin went to do our patriotic duty. god bless them all, and to hell with the aministration that has turned thieer backs to the needs of our soliers. my cousin says morale is low all the time and they feel left there to do a job whos time has past.
You want to Fuck with me ??? Go ahead you dirty rotten bastard. I DID SERVE, not someone else for me.. as you say your kin !! FUCK YOU. It burns me to no end. You people are all cut from the same cloth. Your just spouting more Liberal Rhetoric. NOONE turned their back on me. I served for my country not the other way around you prick. With Liberal cousins like you it probably runs in the family and that is why he is spouting the same bullshit as you. Of course morale can be low at times ITS A WAR
Broadcaster BSkyB is currently deploying the Smith Edison panel van in its engineering fleet.BSkyB operate 1,850 vans for its engineers,Openreach operates 24,500 commercial vehicles. The Smith Edison 3.5T electric van, as favoured by Sainsbury's, utilises Smith's latest battery and power train technology and is housed in the instantly-recognisable Ford Transit shell. Edison is capable of 50mph and a range of up to 150 miles on one battery charge
What the fuck you stupid fag piece of shit?? How in the hell can getting our own oil not going to change anything. You all are delusional fucktards. Lay off the Obama Kool Aid. This country runs on Oil and Coal. You fucking Liberal Wack jobs really think you are going to have one of your own as President. There are more common sense Americans that see through all of your Bullshit. Where is your defense with Barrack' associations?? You cant explain it away and write it off so easily.
Let me tell you what is funny and brilliant especially to these geniuses here: jrodri1018,SparklestheClown,USSLIBERTY1.
Barrack Hussein Obama:= Black Liberation Theology, Reverned White, Bill Ayres, Tony rezko, Father Flager, radical community organizer, Baby Killer in the womb or not no matter to him, family ties to islam, reformed drug abuser
John Mccain:= United States War Hero and Prisoner of War. Has served and defended this great country for over 40 years. ENOUGH SAID CASE CLOSED !
McCain used his authority to arrange frequent flights that allowed him to carouse with subordinates and "engage in extra-marital affairs." Such behavior was a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice rules against adultery and fraternization with subordinates.
Oh yeah, and he also wons 7 houses, 3 more than he could even remember.
Oh yeah and he voted FOR the WAR IN IRAQ - the greatest military blunder and waste of OUR MONEY in our lifetime.
Who is worst? The new green and enviromental organizatioins that completely control congress or the oil companies who give us exactly what America needs to maintain its dominance in the world. Dont talk about the oil companies when the Global Warming Hoax is a Multi Billion dollar conglomerate. The Envirmental nut jobs and Libs are forcing the US in to European State.
So are you inferring that big oil has no control over congress... bwahahahahah dude you need to seriously read what you're typing, it's hilarious (and so fractured that it's hard for me to respond).
What does the global warming hoax have anything to do with the "european state"?
When it comes to global warming you can go fuck yourself. Anything to reduce carbon emissions is a good thing, I live in LA, I know what the fuck I'm talking about. Asthmatics like my sister suffer because of pollution
There is no Alternative to Oil right now you DUMB FUCKS. Besides, why in the hell do we need an alternative anyway?? Why. well beacuse you dont want to get the adbundant supply we have here in the USA. You idiots that are screaming for renewable fuel must know that oil is a renewable. It comes from the earth and returns to the earth. Who in the hell wants to return to the cart and buggy
Everyone loves Drilling as long as it isn't in THEIR Back Yard, these Programmed little Drill Zombies are really starting to get a bit creepy. McCain was 890 out of his Class of 895, he ain't no genius.
We do not need more oil. We need the oil companies to stop blocking solar technology. See the movie, "who killed the electric care" you stupid, stupid people. If there is one thing this government is good at it is dumming down the American Public.
The majority of Americans want to drill. Several posts in a row do nothing but name call. Good job. The gays said they wanted to drill "here" and drill "now" and there getting what they want, why can't we?
Newt also wants to do everything else you guys want to do. He just wants to supplement until we get there. What's wrong with that?

Europe is further ahead than the USA."wave dragon" scoops water into a basin, then releases it to turn turbines. General Electric has taken a small stake in Ocean Power. marine energy is far more predictable than wind. Tidal flows — bay or river currents that shift several times daily based on the moon's gravitational pull — can be forecast years in advance. Satellite images foretell wave heights, which trace wind patterns, days ahead. That lets utilities use generators more efficiently
pi3573 3 years ago
Not much ahead. There's a trial tidal gen. system being set up a bicycle ride from my home.

Can any one explain to me why drilling and thus being more reliant on a very volatile product like OIL as an energy source is a good Idea?
TheNextTurn 3 years ago
Because it works? Basic chemistry. If there was something better, we'd leave the oil in the ground. When there's something better (and there will be!), oil will be a chapter in history books. See anyone lighting their BBQ grill with two rocks?
theunknownknows 3 years ago
Oil works but Sweden, Germany and the UK are passing policies with the Goal of phasing out OIl completely by 2020. Currently all of them have around 10% of their energy needs based on renewables.
As we "DRILL BABY DRILL" all those other countries wont give a SHIT about the price of Oil. So while we wait for the "free market" to adjust, we will still be dependant on OIL.
How much do you think the price of OIl will be in 10 years.. 20 years?
Only Oil companies would like that situation.
TheNextTurn 3 years ago
You know Europe makes better use of nuke than we do (and everything else). When they say "Let's use alternatives" they don't backstab and put out legislation to block said alternatives. It's one of the few things I admire about Europolitics. I personally want to see gas at $1.50 a gallon. Why? Because that will mean it's been mostly replaced. But there's a right way and many wrong ways to get there.
theunknownknows 3 years ago
" gas at $1.50 a gallon"
That will never happen, the developing world and Arab nations will use it untill it runs out. Research peak oil, the cost will rise and rise umtil its end.
"But there's a right way and many wrong ways to get there."
Developed nations can get off oil since they have the resources to do so. And we can get there but we NEVER get there by drilling for more oil.
AmericanSolutions is doing oil companies bidding, they want the US depandant as long as possible.
TheNextTurn 3 years ago
When gas goes back to $1.50 a gallon it will be because it's been replaced. And other nations will be quick to take up any advances that let them skip this whole deal the US is going through. It's happened in other areas of tech advances, like agriculture. We research, they advance.
theunknownknows 3 years ago
"because it's been replaced"
Not nearly fast enough.
Even if demand flattens out becuase other coutries (only 10) plan to phase it out by 2020... there is still an excellerating decrease in supply.
Also Arabs will not let the price down that far again, those who controll the most of it sets the price.
Do you really see them letting the price go down that far?
They would loose billions.
TheNextTurn 3 years ago
Oh didnt comment on this but I wanted to.
""Let's use alternatives" they don't backstab and put out legislation to block said alternatives."
I agree congress, the senate and our sitting Pres are oil flunkies.
Thats why I like Obama, McCain never talks about mandating alternatives.
TheNextTurn 3 years ago
You can't mandate alternatives, outside of securing funding for real research. And no one, not even the Messiah, is promising that. My guess? It's going to come from entrepreneurs, engineers, and tinkerers, and NASA, just like most of the useful tech we have now ! I only rely on gov't for a few things-running the military, counting for the census, and talking a lot. The rest is up to us. U.S. The non-elected majority.
theunknownknows 3 years ago
"You can't mandate alternatives"
Wrong... research the energy policies of UK, Germany, Sweden even China.
TheNextTurn 3 years ago
Look at Obama's energy purposal, he can get us off Forign oil by renewables and conversavtion within 10 years.
McCain's answer: drill baby drill.
But I know you wont look, you have set in your mind the republican way is the best, you wont research each issue, you just keep FAITH in your polical party. Thats is so UN-American
TheNextTurn 3 years ago
The U.S. mandated improved economy for the U.S. automakers. Despite their best efforts, they are reaping rotten fruit. We pay dearly for that harvest.
theunknownknows 3 years ago
Ohh state how a different and completly irrelavant policy failed... and thats suppose to imply renewable mandates will fail..PLEASE.
Like I said research the SUCCESSFUL renewable energy polices of the European countries I listed.
But you wont reseach anything, becuase you have FAITH in your party and that they are telling the truth...dont you?
Are you saying the USA is too weak to keep up with the Europeans?
TheNextTurn 3 years ago
I do my research. As a child, I rarely trusted the words of an adult. As an adult, I've kept this habit and call it good. You're uninformed on certain aspects of their politics, economy, or both.
I know people from Europe. Europe is not ahead of the U.S. in anything except art collections. I do admire their use of rail systems, though.
theunknownknows 3 years ago
Those countrys reliance on renewable energy souces are much higher than the USA.
That means they ARE ahead of us.
DRILL BABY DRILL..is the call of the OIL Companies, they are the ONLY ones that benefit from Drilling. You and the Republican party is helping them make recorde profits.
"Renewable energy Germany"
Go to wikipedia search and replace GERMANY will all the other countries I listed, LEARN THE TRUTH!
TheNextTurn 3 years ago
Their reliance is higher BECAUSE their petroproduct prices are insane, and not the other way 'round. Necessity is still the mother of invention.
I also admire France's energy production, I must say. Their electricity is much cleaner than everyone else, and not as subject to oil market variations.
theunknownknows 3 years ago
Thier prices are becuase they tax it... thus less poeple will want to use it and thus renewables become more attractive. Also the tax money goes to fund renewable energy, thats how you get off oil.
Do you have a better plan to get off oil?
Whats the US answer... drill baby drill....
Yea france is cool...
TheNextTurn 3 years ago
No, France sucks. They sell advanced weaponry to any scum with the cash, like the Russians. Their electricity generation is good, 73% nuclear. Their ghettos are well-designed, also. They're easily blockaded, in case the lower class rise up against the elite. They can all be contained and destroyed withing a block of their homes. Still like France? btw the U.S. gov't makes more money per gallon of gas sold than the oil company that made it. Why hasn't that taxcash been put to research?
theunknownknows 3 years ago
The US sold massive amount of weapons to Hussien and Bin Landin as well Saudi Arabia.
Still like France?
Yes they have better functioning democracy then the US currently does.

Devaney.

In the world of Big Oil, Albert "Jack" Stanley was legendary for winning billion-dollar contracts
pi3573 3 years ago
Stanleys case is the first in what federal officials believe will be a string of indictments in coming months against US corporate executives who have particpated in bribing foreign officials in recent years
Stanley promises to become a hammer for federal investigators seeking to crack open additional cases under a 30yearold statute designed to halt overseas corporate corruption. About 80 cases involving major corporations accused of overseas bribery were under investigation as of last year
pi3573 3 years ago
against corporations based there. The $182 million in bribes were allegedly paid not just by Halliburton but by its partners, an international consortium of engineering companies from France, Italy and Japan. The United Kingdom has jurisdiction, too, because much of the bribery scheme was, according to court documents, hatched in London, where Stanley maintained a sumptuous home
pi3573 3 years ago
Stanley has already acknowledged paying bribes to unnamed senior Nigerian officials, although reports have identified the primary recipient as Nigeria's late president, Sani Abacha. Stanley also has admitted receiving kickbacks of $10.8 million from contracts that Halliburton and predecessor companies signed with governments in Nigeria, Malaysia, Egypt and Yemen. Government officials in those countries, with the exception of Abacha, have not yet been implicated
pi3573 3 years ago
Stanley's testimony may also pose concerns for Vice President Dick Cheney, who ran Halliburton between 1995 and 2000, when Stanley was appointed as KBR's chief executive officer. Cheney has consistently denied wrongdoing.
pi3573 3 years ago
Now 65, Stanley spent nearly his entire career in the oil business, a globe-trotting high-level roustabout who made a specialty of dealing with governments in resource-rich, accountability-poor countries. He owned a million-dollar home in Texas and a residence in one of London's swankest neighborhoods -- a property that he will now have to sell under his plea agreement.
pi3573 3 years ago
OO WEE WE LOVE BIG OIL YES SIR The bribery scandal is one of many involving Halliburton's KBR subsidiary in the past several years. KBR has repeatedly been criticized for overbilling the U.S. government for providing food, fuel and other services to U.S. soldiers in Iraq. Last year, Halliburton spun off KBR into a separate corporation.

Search it for yourself
fooschnikens 3 years ago
Investing in drilling now means more expenses now for oil companies, which means higher prices now. This for a possible drop in lower oil prices in about 20 years when current investment in drilling will pay off.
It's saying something that the people running this contest don't have enough creativity to create their own videos. If they could think that way, maybe they'd see that more drilling is not a solution.
sfdacpr 3 years ago 3
Doing nothing is not a solution either. Quit swallowing the mantra of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi & Michael Moron... This is America we're talking about; we're looking at about a 2 yr. turnaround from new drilling.
Can you explain to me why/how oil prices dropped when all we did was start talking about drilling again??
Dig the coal, build the nukes, suck the natural gas and lassoo the wind! NOW!!!
mimstech 3 years ago
Oil prices dropped when we started talking about drilling because the people who want to drill are the people who control oil prices.
And I didn't say do nothing.
If you want to reduce consumption and prices what about raising gas mileage requirements? Technology exists to double gas mileage, but it's not being used. Require all vehicles built to be hybrids or better.
Natural Gas? Wind? Solar? Fuel Cells? Biofuels? Public transit? Dump all your investment into developing these.

timpedersen 3 years ago
Fine, bring on the alternatives, I encourage it. The only problem is.... they won't come fast enough. As soon as the 'markets' will support alternatives (and I don't mean burning our food/corn based ethanol) we will have a choice. Detroit/the big 3 will only retool 1 time so, whatever we decide on, hydrogen, natural gas or transporter beam, had better be right.
mimstech 3 years ago
the answer your looking for is already in the hands of some of the worolds largest muti-national companies, for example take a look at the worl British petrolium is doing with solar panels. they arent doing it cause its inefective or cost prohibitive thats for sure. its the bottom line and they know it means profit.Shell same thing here too wind and solar online now.
pi3573 3 years ago
People seem to think that the only thing driving the price of gas is greedy oil companies. It's not that simple or dramatic.
The real problem is raising demand in developing economies, such as China, who's oil consumption has nearly doubled over the past decade, while global production struggles to keep up.
It's supply and demand. When the demand goes up, it strains the supply, and prices go up. That's why we need to increase our supply by drilling our own oil offshore and in the ANWR.
ShamefulProductions 3 years ago
We should also stop using ethanol. Ethanol is made from corn, and more corn is being used to make ethanol than ever. Corn is generally used to make animal feed, so when so much of it is being used to make ethanol, less of it is used to make feed, making it cost more to raise farm animals.
When the price of raising animals goes up, the price of meat, milk, and fertilizer goes up, which in turn raises the price of vegetables.
That's why food is so expensive now.
ShamefulProductions 3 years ago
Hey Shame,
I don't think it's all greedy oil companies that are driving up the cost of oil. I think that greedy energy speculators have helped drive up the cost of oil.

A complete "fill up" costs about the same as one gallon of gas.
pi3573 3 years ago
Ok smart guy. Now add some weight to that car as in a 6 member family. How many miles does that go down? Just how long would it take to do a complete recharge? Say you want to go on vacation with your family and at the end of that 150 or probaly way less miles what are you going to do? Where are you going to charge the batteries. Are you going to ask some gas station if you can borrow an A/C outlet. Remember you have to push or tow the car to the nearest outlet.

That's quite a statement, what with over 12,000 medallion taxi cabs in New York HT says that City Hall has requested more taxis and medallion owners like the reduced medallion fees and the possibilities of federal and state emissions initiatives and grants when driving green. It sounds like HT's next step is to build "up to 200 lithium powered long range taxis for fleet placement in New York City

yea so thats right all those things are tied to oil but the difference between you and me is dont use all those things you just rambled off, look for youself how many of those things do you use?
pi3573 3 years ago
this almost dosent deserve a reply. Those things are so tied in Everyones's lives that most wouldnt even realize it. Electric and solar cars are not new to the scene, they are just not viable for replacing oil. Get off the Obama Kool Aid Please

well you really have shown us that your poorly informed.

Yay

Solar Energy CANNOT replace coal, Nuclear or coal right now. This is a fantasy. There is NO viable alternative to oil right now. Why dont you people see that.
mikeyhow30 3 years ago
you need to do some more homework, you dont know what your talking about, oh and it shows too. lol
pi3573 3 years ago 2
So you think these backyard science expieriments enable America to do away with oil right now ?? And you say I dont know what Im talking about! Dont you realize how many cars are on the road and the infrastructure that would have to be changed. We do want to do more research into alternative sources but there is no way that oil can be replaced right now. If we are going to HAVE to use oil, why not get it from our own country for at least secutity and yes price
mikeyhow30 3 years ago
no you dont realize it already happened, your stuck in the past.
soulcleanser42 3 years ago
take PG&E for example they now have a fleet of pheonix motor cars SUT 110 mile range ad goes 95 mph and its a truck, now if this is the case then, i know your not dumb so how long do you think it would be till bigger better trucks came along? really these are nobrainer questions.of course the cost will come down and of course there will be every type size and shape known to man.look if you wat to better the nations infastucture

howbout the volvo c30 plugin, or somthing more exciting like a jeep renegade
pi3573 3 years ago
Besides, are you so sure that so many americans can just go run out and buy a new expensive electric or solar car. We need OIL now. We need more Nuclear and coal NOW. Alternative energy sources are to far into the future to be talikng about doing away with oil. The Republicans do want to invest in research for alternatives but hell.. at the very least we need to have access to American oil for security reasons

ENOUGH SAID CASE CLOSED !

hahah wow, dude you are seriously warped.
Oh yeah and he voted FOR the WAR IN IRAQ - the greatest military blunder and waste of OUR MONEY in our lifetime.
timpedersen 3 years ago 5
Who is worst? The new green and enviromental organizatioins that completely control congress or the oil companies who give us exactly what America needs to maintain its dominance in the world. Dont talk about the oil companies when the Global Warming Hoax is a Multi Billion dollar conglomerate. The Envirmental nut jobs and Libs are forcing the US in to European State.
mikeyhow30 3 years ago

When will the neocon Republicons stop playing politics.
Oil drilling will get us more dependency.
It is time to find alternate sources.
The "free gas" for a year is a joke on the American people. The oil fat cats and their lobbyiests make tons of money, while Americans starve.
RonIbach 3 years ago
"Oil drilling" would get us more dependency? On foreign oil? Really??? Interesting theory.
danbblau 3 years ago
We do not need more oil. We need the oil companies to stop blocking solar technology. See the movie, "who killed the electric care" you stupid, stupid people. If there is one thing this government is good at it is dumming down the American Public.

The majority of Americans want to drill. Several posts in a row do nothing but name call. Good job. The gays said they wanted to drill "here" and drill "now" and there getting what they want, why can't we?
Newt also wants to do everything else you guys want to do. He just wants to supplement until we get there. What's wrong with that?
SKEscalante 3 years ago
If I win this, can I siphon as much gas from the pump as I can? You can potentially make billions of dollars if you win this thing.
