  • 4 reps with very high weight is effective to build mass on biceps? or thats stupid?

  • @Levente20 in order to gain mass you have to go heavier. More reps with lighter weight will just lean you out more than make you look bigger.

  • so this is tyrone jackson...

  • womens vaginas inspire me to lose weight and get bigger

  • Curling in the squat rack? I am dissapoint...

  • Hi, I have a question.

Let's say today is my routine for Bicep and Back.

So which part do i have to workout first?

As if i do my back workout first i can't concentrate 100% on my Bicep as my target is to get Bigger ARMS.. =)

So do i have to workout my Back exercise or my Bicep exercise in order to gain my target?

  • @momokia89 Always back first. Your using your biceps in your back workout so you dont have to do so much bicep work after the back workout because their alreaddy fatigue. You'll feel weak in your biceps if you do them after back so you know it's working

  • HES ROCKING THE WEIGHT..wtf!

  • wonder if he misses being a massive cunt ?

  • One question: when you flex a muscle of any part of the body is when u exhale right?

  • @monkeythelamar wtf?..

  • @monkeythelamar do you know who this guy is bro?

  • @UNKN8WN1973 A pussy.

  • @monkeythelamar youre a fucking moron, thats kevin levrone, he was one of the best bodybuilders of all time, look up videos of when he was young

  • Curling in squat rack >: /

  • That's whats up!

  • Hope this works cuz my chest back n abs r in an amazing shape but my biceps r not my triceps r bigger than my biceps does anyone know a good protein or creatine product?

  • @Gibbyveinte Everyone wants big biceps, but never forget the tri's. The triceps are what make the whole arm look bigger. The triceps are the muscle that fill out your shirt and make your arms look bigger. The triceps are 3 muscles and the Bi's are 2. So your Tri's should always be bigger than your bicep muscle. Look at all the Best bodybuilders and they have huge triceps!

  • 9:10 thank you so much levrone. Half the people at my gym look like balloons and think there crap don't stink but really they aint in shape. :/

  • Am i the only one that likes to stand with the ez bar?

  • Man i mish metal weights all the crapy gyms out here got rubber now and it's just odd to lift.

  • I swear to go biceps are one of most easy things to get some size on.

  • is ur product available in canada kevin ? thanks

  • gotta love the ghettoness of the gym at 2:08

  • im 220 pounds right now and doing cardio to lose weight. but whats the best weight to be to start using weights. i wanna turn my fat to muscle.

  • @DjhushaTV any weight is the best to start working out

  • i'm confused now! if you want to grow the muscle you have to do fewer reps or more reps. help, someone! i just give up of doing 10 reps in favor of 6 reps, is it good or bad?

  • @63Jax

fewer reps + increase weight --> more muscle volume

  • @63Jax

fewer reps + more weight = more muscle volume

more reps + less weight = smaller muscle volume (but more stamina).

Compare physics of a 100m sprinter with a marathon runner and you'll get it.

  • levroni is ollmost dead man

  • my masturbation arm is more toned than my non-masturbation arm.

  • @cubencis oh - if you have an explanation? please share then.

  • @cnote4461 yeah, ur imagining things. hes the same size as the last video

  • @cnote4461 i agree. he looks way smaller now, at least judging from this video.

  • @alienorange RIght!! Not that its a big deal...I just noticed he's not bulky any longer, which makes me wonder if he was taking "supplements" shall we say...OR he just doesn't work out to bulk up, just to maintain. Either way...he's got some good tips.

  • @razzdia123 point being, take away these guys of todays juice and drugs, and put them in the late 60's and 70's and they would not even be in arnolds league. not many were.

  • @OLDTIME47

Hate to break it to you, Arnold was on juice, and wouldn't have made it anywhere without it. So quit your ranting, anyone who can weigh 300 in single digit body fats is a genetic freak, so shut up. Its easy to say oh the olden days were the good old days yadayada stfu.

  • @hash1212121212 first, find any cock and go suck it. next, of course arnold was on juice, put him on todays junk and noone could stand next to him in todays contests. he had the real makings of good genetics.all these suck asses have guts and look like a blocks up on stage.

  • @OLDTIME47

    you're an idiot. please stfu.

  • @hash1212121212 no, you're the idiot. you don't know shit. you have no clue what a physique should look like., stfu yourself.

  • @OLDTIME47 no dude people today just take it further they want to be as huge as they possibly can with arnold it was more like getting as big and ripped as u can without looking disgusting

  • umm actually when you go to a outer grip it hits the inside. inner grip hits the outside, or at least thats what works for me. correct me if im wrong =\

  • 2:06 Lunk alarm

  • His strength declined with his age. He's still in incredible shape though. Respect.

  • levrone the best

  • Kevin, Why str8 bar instead of ezcurl?

  • i make same trening like him.

  • if u want big arms u start with the triceps asshole

  • @ScoobysDisciple no u dont the bicep is easier to grow the problem is alot of people forget the tricep and sit there doing only curls so the tricep is very important too but if u had to pick which muscle to work either the tricep or the bicep then the bicep would win hands down

  • @xXJeReMiAhXx99 The tricep is a much larger muscle.....I would work the tricep if you want bigger arms, like Scooby says.

  • isnt it true that u cant build the peak on your bicep? and that your muscle is shaped the way its shaped and you cant change that, if im wrong tell me cuz id love to make my biceps have more of a peak if its possible

  • @garrett123s u can change it

  • Kevin is such an Amazing guy..I always admire his physique especially his killer Shoulders ..but now i like him even more because of his kind, friendly, honest, personality..He does not hide anything..he is a great icon in the sport and Inspiration to millions around the world..I dare say he is one of the most loved guys among all the other bblders out there posting vids and giving advice. And rightfully so..Keep up the great work Kev..We love you brother :-) and ps One of the best bb in history

  • lifting different weight works different muscle fibers. going heavy or light works totally differnt fibers causing a differnt pump/burn and ultimately different look. the lighter you go with more reps the more of a pump you'll get, peak and definition.

  • hey i really wana gain muscles, if levrone report sugests a diet plan for me ill b thankful, that what kind of diet plan should i go for? plz. write a complete diet plan for me

  • hey i really wana gain muscles, if levrone report sugests a diet plan for me ill b thankful, that what kind of diet plan should i go for? plz. write a complete diet plan for me

  • @junaid256 there is about 1240819048928 sites on the internet to help you with diet. this guy doesnt have the time to customize something for everyone. even though he would like to help us all it just isnt possible

  • wait i'm confused.... are you supposed to do 4 sets of 12 reps of every exercise?

  • @thrashmetal1029 i allways keep in the 8-12 rep range .. i allways try to bang out 12 reps though .. all depends on how im feeling

  • this guy is retired and still has big arms.although since he began actin lost a lot of weight i think im bigger than him.u da man kevin

  • @94duck

HAHAH its funny you say that because he actually isnt retired. he hasnt OFFICIALLY retired yet from the IFBB. so he can comeback anytime he wants to. and my guess is that either he hasnt put in his official retirement yet because he is thinking about a comeback. or he probably does it to get people like me and you anxious. anyway for him to even compete again hes gonna HAVE to get back on test, slin, and hgh. end of story.

  • arms are good sitting down

  • that sounds right to me

  • high reps for cutting? concentration curls for peak? lol come on Levrone. Your one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time, but this information is incorrect.

  • @raekwon201 Yeah and you do more reps to get the fat around it decrease, do you fucking retards think you can debate with a bodybuilder who trained his entire life, and has won more competitions then any bodybuilder that ever lived? Faggot he had 24 inch guns before, 2 inches larger then Arnold, I would listen to him.

  • @errerer94

when you do high reps your not burning fat in that area, period

  • @errerer94 IN YOUR DREAMS BIGGER ARMS THAN ARNOLD. GET SERIOUS. NONE OF THESE GUYS FROM TODAY COULD BEAT ARNOLD IF HE HAD THE JUICE THESE GUYS TAKE. PUT THESE GUYS IN THE 70'S, THEY WOULD LOOK LIKE KIDS NEXT TO HIM,

  • @OLDTIME47 Are you stoned? Arnold has the best physique i admit that but saying he would be bigger then some of the monsters of today like branch, ronnie, jay and kai is just plain crazy dude

  • @razzdia123 you don't think arnold could put on 40lbs of muscle with the crap these guys of today and the 90's are taking? his genetics are far superior to these dudes. most of them are 5'6-5'10 if that. none of them have a chest to match their shoulders, nor have biceps to match their triceps.all have fat hgh guts. to be honest the lightheavies look a whole lot better today.the heavies have no v-shape.arnold had no gut, smaller waiste, proportioned. in 71-72 being 240+

  • @errerer94 fat decreases if you eat less than you need to maintain. more reps to get a muscle cut is simply stupid, also more reps dont burn as much calories as heavier sets with lesser reps. btw, your argumentum ad hominem really shows your smartness.

  • @errerer94 toning is bullshit broscience

  • @errerer94 More reps won't decrease fat around a muscle, you can only lower your bodyfat in total, not just on one place, there aint no such thing as spot reduction, when you people learn!

  • @JRsReaction exactly exactly exactly!!!.. hoo bloody ray..

  • @errerer94 er yeah, pro bb know more than phsyios and sports scientists and MDs and kinesiologist and so on...WRONG. they know how much drugs to take and thats about it. you are so naive. these guys take more drugs than most people can afford to buy on their entire salary. just because they are willing to risk life and limb with huge drug intake doesnt make them an authority on weight training. everything and anything they do under that drug regime will cause growth. u need to visit some forums

  • @errerer94 and he is in roids, u are an ass

  • goooooooooood very goood perfect trainning

  • lulz, you said "dont rock" but thats the first thing you did, wow.

  • your the man levrone:D

  • I'm impressed. If Levrone hasn't released a series of DVDs on training technique and instruction, he should do so. I've never heard so much vital information relayed in a direct, inobtrusive manner. Bravo.

  • It s gr8 to see u re transformation , and those biceps are better and better , this exercises will work for evryone !

  • he looks very healthy

    thumbs up!!

  • He is the greatest 40 year old in the bodybuilding world

  • De todos los pro que se han animado a hacer este tipo de videos, sin duda Kevin, es el mas profesional y generoso a la hora de transmitir.

Tienes toda mi admiracion Sr. Levrone.

  • you're the best

  • Love the vids! Keeps em coming :)

  • I thought when you have your hands further apart it gets the inner bicep, and The closer the grip the more outer bicep. Nice stuff man, 5/5 Ill be following your workouts

  • Man this guy is such an inspiration to bodybuilding

  • @ctrent859

    yes he is

  • And sure, call me a wussy weighing 170 pounds at 6'1", but don't you rather believe logics, thinking for yourself and science, instead of something someone's said one time?

Trust me, I love Kevin, I'm a subscriber, he's very inspirational/motivating and he's right about 99% of the things he's ever said, but I just don't believe in that 'bit higher reps for toning/cutting'. I think it's never proven to be effective. Want to get cut: burn more calories than you take in, body decides WHERE to cut.

  • True, however, expending more enrgy (higher reps), enables you to go into a caloric deficit. Assuming your diet is in a deficit, already.

  • @likkledee3

Ye, but like I said, if you want to use more energy, doing more reps on bicep exercises (one of the smallest muscle groups) is very inefficient. With squats etc. you can probably burn 5 times more calories/hour because you're using a lot more musclemass hence more oxigen/energy etc.

  • @SinisterSkip

And the fat you use because of that, will go off of your biceps automatically at some point.

  • The point is Kevin knows what works for his body why would he do anything different.

  • @50nu30

It's not just about what works for him, it's about what works for everybody. We're not all built with the freaky genetic like Kev. I say, if you want ripped/shredded/cut biceps, do cardio or highrep compound/multijoint/bigmusclegroup movements to burn calories and/ or decrease caloric intake. That will remove fat, first from the wrists/forearms, then from the upper arms and thus the biceps. This will work for all normal men and women working out.

  • I agree, but I also think that the 3 energy systems of the body work in concert and the idea is to have enough energy to do the work to maintain mass while the body metabolizes fat for fuel.

  • @SinisterSkip you use lighter weight and higher reps to cut, and more weight less reps to add mass, whats the deal lol?

  • @zalron69 thats a load of BS also. you get cut by reducing bodyfat. higher reps will rob you of size only. train heavy and reduce calories and improve the breakdown of those calories- or make sure that you are at least in calorific deficit.

  • In my opinion, if you want to effectively cut fat but hate cardio and want to do it with weight lifting, the best way to do that is go for the biggest compound movements, which are squats/leg presses etc where you use many big muscle groups at the same time. Do THOSE with 15-20 reps, don't go near muscle failure, take limited resting time so your testosterone/growth hormone levels stay high, and just do many sets. Surely you'll burn LOTS of calories that way.

  • this is the best bodybuilding/fitness blog on the internet. PERIOD.

  • I also don't understand the concept of toning a particular muscle with lower weight and high reps that some bodybuilders do in the cutting phase. If you want to remove fat to get more shredded and cut, you simply need to loose fat. Burn more calories, take in less. Sure you can do 100 reps with light weight to do 'power cardio', but doing 15-20 in stead of 8-12 for 'toning', I believe is NEVER proven.

I believe people say that because "I've heard it from others". I'm not buying that shit.

  • yea i never believed in that much either...i guess the concept is viewing higher reps as a form of cardio....

i personally do lower reps, like 6 to 8....because I hate having to do 10 reps to finally start feeling a good pump.

  • yes but if you think about it doing higher reps the workout becomes more aerobic than anaerobic thus making the heart work harder and and increasing your core temperature, burning fat and working the muscle simultaneously. a good combo pre contest, or as kev is doing now trying 2 get lean, after months of heavy lifting and bulking, its a process, u need to work fast and slow twitch to be the best i believe..top bodybuilders are elite and finely tuned athletes..

  • Sinister skip, your 100% correct.

  • Kevin your the best baby.

  • I thought inner grip works outer bicep and outer grip works inner bicep?

  • that also what it says in my body building encyclopedia

  • Thanks man!

  • Levrone you are the best

  • cool kevin

    thanks

  • you cant tone a muscle. you can only make it bigger or smaller, and then remove the fat around it in order to make it look more CUT!

  • @bragigo

Amen. We humans can't SPOT REDUCE FAT. It's scientifically proven to be impossible for normal humans. Fat stacks up around the midsection first and it leaves there the last. The further you go to the end of your limbs, the slower you stack up fat, the sooner you burn it there. That's because of ergonomic reasons. You cannot do SHIT about it, not with a diet, not with training. Can only cut fat from the whole body and the body decides where, not your training.

  • so true

  • @bragigo i keep arguin with my mom about this, but she says she needs to do light weight cuz shes female

  • @bragigo You can't just move fat from you bicep, you can only lower your Bodyfat in order to look more cut, there ain't no such thing as spot reduction. For the rest you 100 % right, it's nice to hear there are people who no the facts:P

  • kevin- i just read that high reps do not make a muscle more cut up, altho i have always heard the opposite (and have seen the evidence with my own body). should i cancel my subscription to whichever magazine told me that?

  • think the secret is find what works for your body type multi sets super sets etc

  • (Y) Nice

  • awesome Kevin.
