Hey Everybody! I have just released my new album 'Unhinged' which is greatly inspired by Brad Fiedel's soundtrack work in the Terminator series. You can stream or download the full album for free on my youtube channel!
Absolutely perfect. I love this. You actually inspired me when I made the Terminator 2 version of him. Have a look at my video response for this video. Thank you.
Very nice.Awesome peice. Seeing as you know your stuff have a look at my life size T3 battle damaged bust that i recently uploaded & see what you think?
I have to say, that I never get tired of looking at this video. Its one of my favourite on you tube. How were you able to sculpt Arnold's head, face and body so well ? It's in fact an exact replica of Arnold. Did you use photographs, or other busts to sculpt him correctly? If i can be critial about one thing, then it would be about the hair, towards the back it looks kind of smooth, a bit more like paint then actual hair. Nonetheless 10/10.
@123ATOM321 Thanks 123. I take that as a huge compliment that you think it’s so accurate. I didn’t have a copy bust of the real Arnold or use someone else’s sculpture to go by. I went by as many photographs as I could find, that I had personally, in magazines, books, cards and I also used the movie itself for more reference. I really took my time on it and I’m never satisfied until I feel I got it as accurate as I can get it or if it’s taking to long I say that’s good enough. continued...
@123ATOM321 I agree the hair isn’t as good as it should be perhaps. I didn’t give the hair enough consideration at the time and it should probably have a little more texture in the back. I basically just formed the shape of the hair and put vertical lines down it. You can’t really see the texture lines in this video though. Hair is hard to sculpt, for me anyways. It’s ok though it’s in the back and not many people would probably look at it from the back so much. continued...
@123ATOM321 I’m having the same trouble with my Kirk sculpture’s hair. I need to make it less like a helmet and more like hair. It’s tuff to make clay look like hair and for it not to look like a solid piece of hard clay. To me hair is also translucent and reflective like little strands of glass and you can’t get that real hair look with paints either. Thanks for the comment and I’m glad you like it.
@JimSweet Yeah I completely understand, nonetheless i absolutely love this piece of art work. Being a freelance artist myself, i know good and talented art when i see it. By far one of my favourite videos on you tube. Should seriously consider mass producing this with a company that's officially associated with hollywood.
@JimSweet I love it how you gave the skin that slightly pale discolourment like in the movie, thus showing that the skin has began to die due to multiple wounds.
@LudicrousScotty101 The bust is made of Super Sculpey clay. I did paint it and I'm glad you like the paint job. I used a paint brush and cheap acrylic paints, but I've only painted around 5 sculptures.
It's not a man. It's a machine, Terminator, Cyberdyne Systems model one zero one.
Not a robot, a cyberborg, cybernetic organism, part man, part machine. Underneath it's a hyper alloy combat chassis, microprocessor controlled, fully armored, very tough!
u did dam dude u got talent u should get into that stuff makeing busts and all have u noticed they only make T2 stuff and barly any T1 stuff for collectables
Did you use a cast of his face??...or did you go right from the ground up? What was he cast in? I did a latex one, based on a face cast I had of him...I cast the face in silicone, did a clay pour of it, attached it to a clay maquette,,,added ears and a neck..then cast that in ultracal 30..then cast in rubber...
You can probably still get the cast from E-Bay..it's just the front part of his face..pretty cheap if I recall..I'm going to try and (finally) get some clips up in a few weeks...I made a pretty cool Yoda puppet that I'd like to get up here as well..
I would add one more detail personally....I would love to see the single bloody bullet hole from that one cop at the station that thought he would try and take him with that up close point blank shot! haha
I'm not sure what you're trying to say and I appreciate you trying since I can only speak and write one language poorly. This is a one of a kind sculpture and the eye isn't off in my opinion and by my own measurments. I agree that the metal eye sculpt is sloppy though due to the way I thought I had to sculpt it. This is the original sculpture that I did and I painted and sits on my shelf.
It's not a man. It's a machine, Terminator, Cyberdyne Systems model one zero one.
Not a robot, a cyberborg. cybernetic organism, part man, part machine. Underneath? it's a hyper alloy combat chassis, microprocessor controlled, fully armored, very tough!
The 600 series had rubber skin. We spotted them easy, but these are new. They look human... sweat, bad breath, everything. Very hard to spot. I had to wait till he moved on you before I could zero on him.
The Terminator in the first film had to operate on it's eye and hand or arm. He took out some flesh around his eye and this is the version of the Terminator that I have sculpted.
Yeah, of course! Somewhy i thought you meant somekind of operation in real world for arnold ^^
Iam not buying it (even though its soo cooool), but iam just wondering do you still have this sculpture or have you sell it? And if you have sell it, what was price? :O
If I had this badboy, I'd build a little hermetically sealed Plexiglas dome for it and put it on the roof of my house. I'd light it up at night with spot lights and play the dialog thru loud speakers.
That would be awesome. My neighbors would love me.
good sculpt dude! I tell you what if you put this on eBay you could make a make a mint with everybody wanting a piece of your work including me! Wish I had that kinda talent since it sounds like your self taught good job man! Kudos to you stan winston could've used a good sculpter like you!
I think the hair is a little too dark it needs to be shade or two lighter, also I think the robotic eye need to have been smoothed out more. But it's irrelevant since this is his original work...I could not do any better.
