OHhh my ....I worked in this ship from 1985 to 1990 great ship!! I was a waiter in the "Seven seas" and "Four Winds" dining rooms...unforgettables times...comander Giovanni Sbiza,Natzko Nincevic food manager....great times of my life on board of the "Holiday" ..great staff.. sweet memories... Nassau.,Grand Cayman...St. Thomas..Cozumel 3 1/2...Ocho Rios....

This beauty was pretty new when I started,her maiden voyage,was from Denmark to Florida,her route was Miami,St.Maarten,St, Thomas,Nassau,Miami...seven days of cruise..by the way I was shocked when I found this magnificent vessel was retired on last November...it was unique.

what year did she start her career? well if you look at her now....she's very small and old ships could be bad for your cruise line.

This beauty was launched in 1985,of course after 25 years of service looks small and outdated,but FYI this special boat started the supercruise`s era.After the m/s Holiday came the Jubilee,then the Celebration,Carnival built their empire with these beatiful ships,in the mid 80`s were invincible.

Man, I just went on my first cruise at the beginning of the month and it was AWESOME I really wish I had a chance to said on the Holiday but I don't think I'll be able to.

Is Carnival going to cut the "fluke" off before they retire it?

It is retiring this fall. I will be going on it August 10... It is their oldest ship.. that's why they're selling it.

The Carnival Holiday is retiering from the fleet I dont know when I think they are makeing this ship retire so they have enough money for the newer ship the Carnival Dream...As well as Royal Caribbean made Sovereign of the seas retier in November and Norweign Megesty is retiering for Norweign Epic I think Megesty is. But thease old ships are gonna pass on to other cruise lines would like to buy thease ships.

I am going on the Holiday in two weeks! I have a question though. Once we reach international waters, such as Mexico. Is the drinking age on board still 21, or does it lower because we are in Mexican territory!?!? cuz i'm only 20 :(

Carnival destiny XD awsome cruise but i think you can only get it for a week you get to visit St.thomas , Dominica,Barbados,St.lucia,Ant­igua and San Juan pretty expensive tho but all the money well spent also visit cruisecritics(Dot)com for info on all cruises
