I actually found this song to be rather cool. I don't know why everyone is saying that it doesn't fit in the movie, it's actually pretty necessary since it shows Shilo standing up to her father for the first time (with the pop-punk-ish tune and her outfit symbolizing teenage rebellion)

The intro sounds like a Dropkick Murphys song. But if I had to make a list of all the songs based on opinion, this would probably be at the bottom of the list. Why? It basically acts like the Big Lipped Alligator Moment of the movie. Where all the other songs are these epic anger songs (with the exception of I Didn't Know), this song goes against the tone and it just served as an excuse for the producers to necessitate a Joan Jett cameo.

I remember when I was that age, and I felt a lot of the same things towards my mother, who was a little over-protective and rules driven. So it really is kind of accurate in showing that part of her feelings, and I felt I could relate a little to it. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it added a little more of the human element to the film. I could see myself reacting that way too at that age.

Honestly, not really a fan of this song, but I do like the way they deliver it, and the message it gives.

The idea of teenage rebellion in song form is a good one, and they do it well, with the shift in colour, not to mention simply the language and Nathen's reaction.
