@icemanbenito use a usb stick version of tor. use cyberscrub after you use it. Do not let anyone else use your computer. Tor as itself is as safe as it gets. But it doesn't protect you once you download what you needto on your hard drive. So use cyberscrub after. Best way to use tor is within an encrypted environment such as these virtual encrypted disks

Telling people to use TOR for P2P is not a good idea. TOR was created for anonymity, not fast downloading of files. Ever tried TorVPN? It gives you the best of both worlds: a VPN and the TOR network. By default you are using the fast VPN connection and can turn on transparent TOR whenver you feel like it, without using any TOR software installed on your computer. Google TorVPN or see my videos for a tutorial on how to set it up in just 2 minutes.

Please keep in mind, that many of you, viewers, are still using closed software, so you don't have total security. Your computer has an Id with witch win-update recognizes specially your comp, so there's no anonymity through tor. Win Update, Google and others are tracking you also, so ip hiding is not "THE" ultimate solution, if you're looking for anonymity. There ain't yet a solution in closed software field and there never will.

Try down loading a program called Tor,

it comes with its own little fire fox browser its very simple to use,

you install it and paitently wait for the special browser to come up and it says "congratulations you are using tor"

then surf the net under a new ip address, you can change your adress randomly at any time from the menu, but then you must restart th program to get the new ip

I've used tor for over a year now, it's slow as hell but, it works, lately I noticed that most of the IP's (almost all) are starting to be detected as a suspected proxy server or network sharing device so I have to manually search for proxies till I find a good one, is there a easier without paying money ? Please Help !

Peer Guardian only blocks bad IPs. It doesn't mask your IP address at all. All it does is make it so you can download some content with confidence. But it is by no means 100% nothing is.

I installed the tor but do not see a switch proxy option under tools! I am using the latest version of Firefox. Also, when I typed in local host in the slots, I received an error message. The default has numbers in the blocks where you said to type local host. Suggestions?

Tor IS slow yes but its prob the best anon service you can use, and with all the various governments and spammers (usually from asia) trying to connect (use PeerGuardian and see, youll be astonished, micro$oft, google, various antip2p organisations etc, it never ends) Tor is essential, i never got the switchproxy to work properly tho, but its irrelevant

Tor is a good program to remain anonymous, but it's way too slow.Specially when a lot of people are using it.They also have a browser that words really good called xB Browser.Other ways to hide your tracks is MAC address spoofer and using a VPN.

Oh I am a noob am I. Not all IPs change when you configure the Router. I am sure you know the difference between Static and Dynamic. Also sometimes you have to force an IP Address change by using the ipconfig command. Then manually searching for available IPs. I know a lot more than you give me credit for. I used to run a Warez Group that was very Successfull. I don't need your crap Cyberspace. You know nothing about me at all.

You can also join proxy groups that have proxies you can use for youtube and myspace etc. You can also purchase really good fast proxies or you can scan for your own and put them in your browser. I am just making this video for people who are not technical and simply want to hide their IP for no dollars.

If in doubt purchase HIde My IP. It rotates loads. The advantage of this is that you get very fast proxies. The dissadvantages are that you have to pay. It depends how serious you are in hiding your IP. Also if the Authorities want to find you they will regardless of how fast you have a proxy. It has been proven time and time again. So anything illegal is a no no.

If you are good at programming you should look at what proxies it uses in the files in the tor directory and edit them to ones you want to use yourself. You can limit them to say USA only etc. There are tutorials online for this. But that is how it works. Just google customising tor.

I presume you have vista in which case I found loads of problems. You may try running it in compatibility xp mode. I do not like vista. It worked fine on XP SP3.

You can hide it from people online and some web sites. However it is not going to work if you are wanted by teh Authorities. A lot of these programs are forced by the Government to put in back doors etc. If in doubt scan for your own proxies or pay for some ones off black lists that the Government do not monitor.
