wow this is so fuckin' lame! they think they're such artists, they upload a stupid indie photo into a lame template then add text in the font of like old typewriter.
god a fuckin' idiot could do this---hipsters should die. how dare thye make money off this!?
@BenjaminLaird hipsters cash in on [semi-pseudo] arty stuff, gansters cash in on drugs, corporate bunnies cash in on pop culture, working class cash in on hard work, priests cash in on religion, chomsky cashes in on middle class guilt.. politicians cash in on EVERYONE :O .. so what is your problem exactly? hipsters finding a niche?
@BenjaminLaird - Not really. I met Joey when he came to London last year and he was the nicest, down to Earth guy. I'm not saying that just because I'm a fan, he seemed to be genuine and funny. Y'know, normal. Not artsy, scenester-y or hip. Maybe it takes meeting them to get that, I dunno. The point stands, though: you're wrong.
I just rested my elbow on a pile of bedsheets but I forgot that I had put a nectarine that I had eaten earlier there so I freaked out when I felt something cold and wet on my elbow and now my elbow is sticky and I smelled my elbow and it doesn't even smell like nectarines.
Geez, this is surreal. I have walked down all of those streets. I have stood next to that tree. I have gone into those buildings (with the exception of their house, of course). This is one of my favourite webcomics, and I didn't know that it was all so close to me!
Wonderful little film, giving insight in the making of the comic in a very inspirational way. Thanks a lot! (And hurray for Emily using a Pentax! Old German cameras rock)
LOL well....there are MANY different AMERICAN accents...so it's hard to tell one way or the other with anyone near the border to the north. Basically what you mean to say is "they sound like people on American TV" - which is true. But like Roxxi says, when you're near the border, there's no real way to tell. Which makes it easy for us Americans to just say we're Canadian when we go overseas :) Thanks for being a friendly people, Canada!!!
Actually almost no one in Canada talks the way "Canadian accents" sound on television. There are regional accents--Newfoundland has a strong one, french Canada does, obviously, and BC and alberta have an almost brittish sound to their A's, but I've live all over Canada all my life and never head the Canadian accent in person.
...Except we almost all do say aboot when we're talking fast.
I'm not sure what you mean there. Like how canadian accents are PORTRAYED on tv? because just like southern accents, it's over-exaggerated for the sake of comedy, usually. i didn't really clarify myself well, i guess.
Well yes and no, I guess. I mean to say that in my life I have met some people with close to television levels of southern accents. I've never met a Canadian who spoke the way Canadians do on tv, even a little. Not saying they're not out there, but it has to be pretty rare in my experience.
"I've live all over Canada all my life and never head the Canadian accent in person." Amazingdavidman, every single Canadian has a "Canadian accent", just as every single American has an "American accent". They may not sound the way they do when Americans poke fun at us, but that doesn't mean that we don't have them.
Emily is lovely, so cute with such a pretty smile!
And on the actual video, it's very cool to see them both (and Ryan!) and get an idea of the personalities behind the art. A Softer World is my favourite by far!
I love you both so much. A softer world is my all time favorite web comic. <3

Strange how Obscurity and Oddity can change the fact that these people are people, with beating hearts and Everything.
Indeed they most likely occaisionally go to the bathroom.
