Irrelevant. A derivative work should be judged on it's own merits, esp. when it's meant for entertainment purposes. Romance of the Three Kingdoms itself is historically inaccurate anyway. Half the stuff is made up. Should I say that Luo Guan Zhong, who is Chinese himself, has no clue about Chinese history, maps and stories?

But this movie was alright, I hate of how they made Hunag Zhong one of the Five Tiger Generals, but Wei Yan was supposed to have that place. The part that I hated most, is when they made Zhao Yun Zilong died in battle
