  • Odda. Odda. O-o-odda. Odd-aa. Odda.

  • LOLOLOL!!!

  • I'm for question time in America minus the adolescent laughter and bantering.

  • I just feel really bad for Michael Martin...

  • LOOOOOOOOOOL speaker got no control. LOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • spaghetti is just pouring out of the speaker's pocket

  • If congress was more like this, more people would watch C-Span in America, guaranteed. This makes me want to go to Europe and be an MP somewhere lol

  • @punkybetty87

    EXACTLY XD

  • I would be going "shut the fuck up you twats!" that's the proper response to these sissy schoolboy behaviour.

  • Why was Nick Clegg laughed at when talking about the single mother?

  • @unicyclerist

Nick Clegg once gave an interview that when he was young, he was playboy who slept with 30 women. When Nick talk about the single mother, everyone started giggling and thought she was one of 30 women he slept with.

  • I think the Parliment is God's gift to the earth. Freaking hilarious.

    Love from America!

  • Are you sure the opposition aren't at a Premier League Match? ROFL.

  • it was always painful to watch brown "answering" questions.

  • lolNickClegg

  • the speaker just has no control :D

    o-o-order, o-order

  • hahaha Gordon's such a mug

  • ah-ah-ah-ordahh---ah-ah-ah-ah-ordahhh

  • this has NOTHING on the current speaker john bearcrow i think his name is

  • o-o-o-ordurrr, o-o-ordurrr, ordurr, o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ordurrrrrr

  • where's Malcolm Tucker???

  • They're like a bunch of pathetic school children...no wonder fuck all is done to sort this mess out, they people in power are too busy laughing and actin like a bunch of eight year olds.

  • Irrespective of personal politics, you'd have to objectively say the Conservatives are far more guilty of ad hominem attacks (attack the person rather than focusing on the argument).

  • so mature.

  • owda

  • I think to think Micheal's calls for "order" are actually him looking around the room confused repeating "Oh dear..."

  • is this how the British government works? Is this normal, or a rare event? Perhaps an Brit can enlighten me? In America, you get crucified for this type of behavior in Congress.

  • @ikanipo This is how the Conservatives act (The laughing hyenas). They are currently running the country and I'd say we're all doomed.

  • @jonnybeats12 have you seen ed miliband ! ? ? ? ?

  • @ikanipo this happens once a week, the members of the house are given the opportunity to ask the prime minister any question they want. the leader of the opposition party is given 5 questions first, they normally use it to question the prime ministers mistakes of the past week.

  • @ikanipo Though I'm an American, I can tell you that this is actually pretty normal for the House of Commons. British politics is extremely adversarial. I actually think it's healthier to do things this way. Remember, the Prime Minister is a member of Parliament just like any other. This gives the other MPs the right to call him and his ministers before Parliament to grill them on their actions. Can you imagine if a US president and his cabinet had to go through this sort of thing weekly?

  • What a joke politics has become, haha. This is ace.

  • The description in this video sums it up perfectly. Michael Martin is like one of those teachers we've all had who can't control the class one bit. At least when John Bercow shouts 'Order' he says it loudly and 't controls the house, ish. My favourite is when he reminds the MPs of the image they are portraying to the public, which quite frankly in my opinion is a bunch of school children.

  • Fuck Murdoch. Fuck Cameron. Fuck Obama. Fuck Ron Paul... Fuck Put me & my friends in. We'd only have one rule - do as you please, as long as you do not in ANY way inflict on anybodies elses equal right.to that happy state of freedom. I mean.... Cmon people, the system doesn't work. Fuck 'money'.... There's enough to go round, and there always has been. Stop being greedy cunts.... It's so simple it's embarrassing. What has our species become?...... Where are our values?? What happened to art?!?!

  • @Marronisince1990 Congratulations you just perfectly described the goals of a Communistic society! Sounds like a great idea I know, in theory it would be perfection. But people are just greedy ass holes so it would never work.

  • @rwhit9351 Why are people greedy assholes though? What would you say makes us behave this way? BECAUSE WE SURE AREN'T BORN FEELING LIKE THAT!!!... I'm so tired of this fucking matrix weve been placed in. We need to come together & use our anger for a worthy cause, to fight the system that has left us in lack... Not to just keep fighting each other and adding to the problem. That's what the ruling class want!... Hmmm, one day we'll all look back on this and realize how ignorant we ALL were. Peace

  • @Marronisince1990 I know how you feel.

  • Please check out the PARTY OF SLEAZE by Tokyo Rose. Forget phone hacking watch this it's funny. - Kind Regards Derek

  • As an American, what sticks out to me is the participation; they may be getting unruly and behaving slightly immature about a couple of things, but at least they're THERE. Our congressional delegates can't even be bothered for that unless it's a state of the union address.

  • What does it mean when they get up?

  • @SelwynG1 It's a procedural thing - they are trying to "catch the speaker's eye", in the hope of being called on to ask the Prime Minister a question, although many of the MPs who are called upon are those who have already put their names on the day's order paper; PMQs is after all the most popular session of the week in the House of Commons, as backbench MPs don't have too many opportunities to question the Prime Minister directly.

  • @rossy161 I'm so intrigued by this. Could you imagine if the American President had to endure this? Thank you so much for responding & explaining.

  • @SelwynG1 In one sense I suppose it is a bit shocking, and of course our head of state, the Queen, is treated with similar respect and deference to that given to the US President. But I personally think it is rather good that the head of government is held to account in public, which doesn't really happen in the United States - I would not defend the man who shouted "Liar" at Obama during the State of the Union, but I can perhaps understand his frustration. It's a tricky balance to strike...

  • These are a bunch of posh blokes, imagine if the 'common people' acutally got a couple of seats in parliament, chair would get thrown across the room

  • See what we missed by declaring independence from Britain today? Actually, just imagine what this activity must have been like as Parliament was debating what to do with the American Colonies.

On that note, if only there had been YouTube when Edmund Burke was alive - if history is right, he was probably the best friend the Colonies had in Parliament at that time, so imagine what it would have been like to capture him live.

  • Lmao. You can just see that Michael Martin wants to burst out laughing. "Save the world" hahahaha. No wonder he was useless. He was probably pissing himself inside with laughter half the time

  • Betty Boothroyd was the best.

  • Jesus Michael Martin was useless. My grandmother could have done a better job. (mind you, my grandmother is pretty scary, so the same might be true of Bercow...)

  • i love the paper waving, its so brilliant haha

  • FUUUUCK! AMERICAN POLITICS ARE SO FUCKING BORING COMPARED TO THE BRITISH! TOP QUALITY ENTERTAINMENT!!!

Why can't C-span be this entertaining to watch??? You brits are so fukin luck to have this in your politics. Such good entertainment!!!

  • Im an american and that guy Cameron is a master of linguistics lol, he's so damn good at being a politician I sware he's one man I would never want to face.

  • Who the hell wanted him for Speaker?

  • @Angryification The MPs vote in a ballot amongst themselves.

  • @jbosco08 it was a rhetorical question

  • I didn't choose for them to run the country...Just saying.

  • what the fuck is this????

  • Penis

  • wow... these people manage the country?? =S

  • anyone else think gordon brown is quite fit?

  • 3:02 "Nick opened it"

    haha! I just noticed this

  • Haha I thought the Irish parliament was ridiculous, the House of Commons is like a classroom! No offense, but haha!

  • Bring back Brown!

  • 3:05 "come lapdancing" haha

  • @GeorgeReid2009

hahahaha 3:05 "Come Lap Dancing" hahaha

just thought I should repeat that so everybody notices it... hahaha :D

  • Are there electrical shockers in the chairs? Why does everyone keep leaping up?

  • @EvilgidgitReturns When they stand up in the House of Commons, it means they're wanting to address the house and get the speakers attention. The speaker, who in most cases keeps order, chooses people evenly to discuss problems/issues/bills they want to bring up in front of everyone. Hope this helps :)

  • @andyn10 Ah right. Too bad they're not being shocked.

  • i love how many americans say how they find our politicians and the system amazing when all our prime ministers/ MP's are a bunch of lying twats who think not having 12 houses in exotic countries all over the world is against their rights when theres kids in britain living on the streets..

  • Brown... what a choad.

  • This infuriates me, just watching the childishness of the situation.

  • @19378167813728163 politics are childish. at least the british are honest about it.

  • pathetic, nick clegg's bit is funny tho!

  • what a fud

  • Wow, these members of parliament are worse then a group of 3rd graders on the last day of the school year. :D

  • wow..

  • These people are running our country? Immature wankers

  • 500 fucking children !!!!!! Your ment to be grown adults running the country !!!!..... Clegg's trying to explain that a single mother was ask to give money she didnt have back and instead of listening your all laughing like kids " hehehe He said a women came to see him hehehehe" And you wonder why the public hate all of you !!

  • this is obviously 4 show.... how can anything get accomplished when goal is to make funny clever response and argue against your enemys the other party...and how the the others are so out of control , do they ever decide om anything?

  • @arlichar11

This is only goes on for half an hour every Wednesday. The rest of the time its a bit calmer and more mundane and things do get done.

You are right that it is largely for show, but its quite an important part of Parliaments proceeding, and is largely symbolic of the fact that we have a Parliament in which people can speak out in opposition.

  • They should give the Speaker a machine gun.

  • He should have taken his gavel, slammed it against the table, and shouted "Order!"

  • Lower house speakers in the Westminster system do not use gavels.

  • not even fuunny

  • nice laughing after the lance-corporal's death

  • HAHA. I love British parliament. I wish we had a similar system of argument instead of our dry argument presentation to the speaker. Sure, it's slightly childish, but infinitely amusing.

  • @Jonmad17 I actually think it adds more "life" to government and senators ect. would be more open to speaking their minds.

  • Shame!

  • I like it when they just ignore clegg. "U gotta get ur chops up if u wanna roll with the big dogs son".

  • @and551 well you're just as pathetic and childish as them aren't you?

  • man i love the UK

  • 2:54 stupid posh snotty bitch. THIS is why our country is FUCKED. Because of these childish behaviour!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fucking kids. Why don't these people actually find a solution instead of acting like kids. fucking tits

  • HDTV'

  • that's it...im moving to the uk

  • kids theses days.

  • what a prick that man is who is saying order. my god. what a waste of a man.

  • At 3:03 it sounds like a politician is yelling that he wants a lap dance.

  • the child in us never dies

  • haha, Im trying to work out what the guy at the end is saying about lapdancing. Cant quite catch it. "Strictly come lapdancing?".

  • Is this supposed to be a parliament? Looks like a bunch of children to me

  • Shows just how flipping ineffective gorbals Mick was as speaker.

  • To think that these people run the country.

  • What an ineffective twat Michael Martin was.

  • HAHAHA he saved the world. i love the side he is facing just blows up at him. thats great. WHat if america was like this, might make cspan somthing to watch

  • i love how at 0:28 all the conservatives start doing a fail mexican wave thing

  • The problem here is not so much an unruly House as an ineffectual (later discredited) Speaker who can't control them.

  • LMAO! the fat old guy in the chair was USELESS! ....order....order...WEYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • Why do everyone laugh and shout when clegg says ".. in Sheffield.."?

  • @feedback281090 supposedly he used to be quite a ladies-man and has seen more action than most of the people in that room, so it's their way of silencing him whenever he talks about women and their concerns

  • @feedback281090

That person Nick Clegg had recently given an interview where he claimed he had slept with no less than 30 women. So when he started with "a single mother came to see me recently", they all started to laugh. Juvenile stuff.

  • aahahaha our politics is the best, so glad cameron is finally in office

  • Oh Michael Martin...

  • The Speaker's awesome power at trying to keep control. Pathetic. The hooing and hawing. Pathetic. All the stupid "here here ing". Children. I hate the way this bunch of absolute tossers behave.

  • @JohnPersonage His attempts at quieting them were hilarious; "O-o-order..." He sounds like a pathetic supply teacher!

  • what the fuck is that guy doing going like, Or, or or, order, or der, smirking? wdf

  • can't believe they all act like such cunts.

  • These parliamentarians are worse than bad school children.

  • Oh dear those people run our country! That's aimed at the laughter when Clegg starts to talk. He didn't even say anything funny. If anything the laughter was just disrespectful.

  • Those Tories are pathetic and the chair speaker was so damn weak

  • 2:30 o...order..or or der lol

  • Nothing that Clegg said was remotely amusing or outrageous. I don't understand why anybody was laughing. Brown's "We not only saved the world" quote is legendary though.

  • Lol - poor lil nick Clegg.

  • PATHETIC. and to think these childish hooligans are going to be running the country in 2 weeks' time. they must still think they're in the bullingdon club.

  • Comment removed

  • who is this guy trying to control it all - hes useless!

  • @cacaolover1 Yeah, his formal name is "The speaker". He stepped down. They should have the "The speaker" of the Senate in Star Wars. He was fucking loud.

  • Vote Lib Dems!

  • what the hell is that guy acomplashing at 2:20 "Order.. Or Or, Orr.. Orr... Order" lol, should be like a proper judge with a wooden hammer thing and shout!

  • @soundsmint Yeah the guy's a twat. Take control! ORDER!! ORDER, YOU BLITHERING HALF WITS!! HOW DARE YOU!! THIS IS NO FOOTBALL GAME!

  • @soundsmint cuz that will be a big insult to the big people if he shout etc., and he doesn't want to do that.

  • @soundsmint but he's not a judge

  • @soundsmint: Theres no real desk to bang a hammer on. If you want a better order shout, try looking at his depudy, Sir Alan Hazelhurst.

Type in Sir Alan Roars and you can see how good his order is

  • @soundsmint that "guy" is former speaker of the house Michael Martin

  • @soundsmint The guy is the speaker ;D

  • @soundsmint The guy is the speaker ;D

    Michael Martin

  • @curlyfryz the guy is a dick

  • when they all started laughing at what nick clegg said thats so childish....... clegg should be PM, if anything just because he seems the only one mature enough to take parliament seriously

  • @jackanthonykingmusic

It's just the way British politics is. They're always noisy, it's what makes it so fun to watch.

I agree though that Clegg should be PM.

  • @jackanthonykingmusic agreed mate

  • @jackanthonykingmusic

youve been brainwashed mate nick clegg and the lib dems are a joke party.

  • @jackanthonykingmusic

Shame no one can take the Lib Dems seriously, they've shifted along the political spectrum than Gordon Brown fuck up at the dispatches box, and that's a lot!

  • @jackanthonykingmusic CLEGG IS A WANKER

  • @killlllerboy - I'm only commenting on their behaviour in this video, not on anything else.....they're all wankers

  • @jackanthonykingmusic lol u wana go back on that comment now? xD

  • @jackanthonykingmusic Bet you regret saying that now!

  • @jackanthonykingmusic

I bet you've changed your mind now matey

  • SAY ORDER SO PEOPLE CAN HEAR IT MAN!

  • The tories are funny.

  • But i don't get how childish they were being about clegg... hmm.

  • @DracoSlashHarry

he claims to have slept with over 30 women

  • @0MarlyZ 30's not really that much... o.O

  • @DracoSlashHarry

I think for a politician it is =p

  • @0MarlyZ if you're talking bout Nick Clegg; he never said that exactly, media just reported it like that. he did an interview with a magazine that asked him how good he was in bed and how many women he'd slept with - he gave vague answers and so they probed- 5? 10? 30? he replied 'well no more than that (30)'.

  • oh Gordon. XD

  • I hate that they're purposefully trying to disrupt what's being said, and I hate that it's a ungenuine, tactical, organized, partisan thing, but I do love that they aren't afraid to heckle.

  • I think the cheering and jeering is pathetic and juvenile.

  • i'm american, but i wish i was british

  • Amazing. One guy in our House of Representatives tells the President "You lie!" and we snap. My British cousins seem to have a fun time with their parliament.

  • Proud to be an American.

  • Cool, I am proud to be British/

  • Funny when they all jeer and cheer. You'd think this is one of the most professional and formal institutions in the world - how wrong could you be.

  • It is - our PM is a accountable to the public and the opposition every Wednesday, and the noise they are making is to show support or dislike.

  • The 'judge,' empty suit, stuffed shirt, or whatever you want to call him, is the funniest part of this video. Don't miss him at the 2:20 mark. They ignore him so much, he should just quit and go home. Let's hear it for pomp and tradition. 'O duh.....O duh.......uh..uh....Oduh." LOL

  • He is no longer speaker.

    What's wrong with tradition?

  • @mrjamest2000 Interest rates are high (look at visa rates and loan rates)obviously you are a rich homeowner who could not care less no one is able to afford a property. Many pensioners (Who have lost billions of pounds from Gordon Brown's smash and grab) can not afford to live due to relying on savings that are useless. People would spend more if they had more proper money not borrowed money. This government is the biggest joke ever.

  • Does this happen often in the U.K.???

  • @tomy2791 happens every thursday in prime minsters questions!

    its on c-span sometimes

  • Wednesday*
