Thanks for the update. IMO the BG knife is a cheap foreign made product to get bear grylls and Gerber rich. Mora is a better knife at less than half the cost.

Why would they have designed the rod to come out from the bottom anyways ? Makes no sense . That way it can fall out with gravity, not so if it were top loading. Just stupid design.

Pretty lame that the ferrocerium rod falls out. Would make for an unpleasant surprise if you ever really needed it. Not a good choice for a survival knife. What do you think of the Bark River Bravo1 knife? Thanks for the update.

If your in walmart and about to buy that buy the winchester bowie instead it will serve you much better as far as a 10 dollar knife goes. Maybe you could pick one up to review ?
