  • this is awesome thank u so much u put it into a language we can all understand. amazing!

    they all turned out perfect

  • I've made this with fresh prawns and I tend to think that cooked prawns may be better.

They seem to have more flavour and less moisture.

  • That is so simple.

    I'm trying that tomorrow!

  • Can I use Posto instead of sesame?

  • really helped me as i had to do a project - menu on asian dishes. THANKS :)!

  • Hi there! Chef, I love your recipes, but I'm not a big fan of shrimp. Is it possible to replace the shrimp with some meat or maybe chicken? Thanks!

  • @grapowski I know you weren't asking me specifically, but I've always believed that cooking is all about experimentation. Try something, and if it doesn't work, go out to eat!

  • I always thought that prawns were the "Giant" shrimp, i'm gonna guess that's a locational thing?

  • @wakawakasplat The prawns I used are actually "Baby Prawns" but the name is different from place to place ;)

  • @wakawakasplat

another name for them is "sea cockroaches" but anyways they taste great

  • @wakawakasplat no prawns are different. they actually taste different, and their physical feature's are different.

  • @OnePotChefShow rlly? ew

  • @ShearsOfAtropos so you just won the bet xD

  • that looks so yummy! i will have to try this.

  • It is best to use rare shrimps to make the paste for the toast then fry it up to get the freshest taste vs using cooked shrimps.

  • I grew up in America and live in The Netherlands now and it's true, they don't have prawn crackers in the US, or at least not as much. For shame! hehe.

  • Ohh yummy... my mum made this once but she never told me how to make it..thanks!

  • My parents made this the other day ! Its so nice :$

  • This along with the calamari rings is one of the things I love to pig out on when I got to the all you can eats. Bet the home made ones taste better though

  • how interesting where i live in Canada I have never heard of this

  • @neicie64 Maybe it's a UK/Australian Chinese restaurant thing? Seems everyone in Canada and the US are missing out on a treat :)

  • This video PRWNS!!!

  • @CatholicExtremist I've seen Podravka in Coles Supermarkets here in NSW. Look in the spread section near peanut butter, nutella etc (with the the meat paste spreads)

  • Is there something with European chinese food? I've never heard of this in America and when I went to london I thought it was just a family recipe in the specific chinese resturaunt I ate at... apparently not...

  • @Fruitkiwi It's fairly common down here in Australia, it's strange that you guys wouldn't have it. Maybe you should send this video to your local Chinese restaurant LOL :P

  • Yumm :D But dont burn your fingers xD

  • @pocketbikefreak666 My fingers are heat resistant :)

  • Oh...

    My...

God! Looks divine! Can't wait to make these.

Can you show us a chinese dessert?

I would like to make a... well kind of "China night" for my friends.

Your Lemon boneless Chicken and those really tasty looking sesame prawn toast as appetizers plus a fitting dessert.

That would be really nice :-)

Thanks anyway for all your great recipes.

  • @Vorkhan I don't really know any Chinese desserts - maybe someone could suggest one or two and I'll see what I can do :)

  • @OnePotChefShow my fav chinese desert is lichees and icecream mmmmm or failing that deep fried icecream is always nice mmmmm

  • This makes me sick to my tummy lol the word prawn just completely turns me off, or maybe its just seafood in general. I still watched though :P

  • i really really really really really like you :D greeings from germany!!!!!!!

  • Can and Jar ingredients? You've lost your Chef credentials, please send them back to us.

  • @christschool You must be new to my channel, I often use pantry ingredients in my recipe. I specialise in doing easy recipes for first time cooks, so the ingredients need to be basic. Thanks for watching :)

  • awsoOoOome!

  • Wow.. im Chinese and ive never heard of this food before.. LOL

  • Looks great and nice and easy!!

  • Yummmmm!! Come live with me.. If you cook, I'll clean!! lol

  • i dont like sesame, is there anything else i can use? :o

  • Yes, this is a Chinese dish! :) And thanks for the recipe!!!!!!!!

  • I should really make that, I love all the ingredients you put in it.. but I just got back from a restaurant in Naples and my belly is so fully I can't even take off my shoes.. lol.. this is my first "to do" dish for tomorrow!

  • LOL When you put the prawn mixture in the bread i was like -Barff- no cook !?

then i found out you cook them im like OHHHHhhhh :D yummmm <3

  • -___-! wow 3 months to eat? =/

  • @ziggyYardie The mixture will last 3 months in the freezer ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow Wonder if that is how long it took for that guys....well your reaction video to heal :P

  • YYYYYYYUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE to try this out. Never had it.

  • OMG! I'm chinese and i've never tried that before! I dun see them here :(

  • These look great. You've inspired me to make a vegan version of this recipe for me to try in my kitchen! I think I might make it with seitan... or maybe some firm tofu. I'll probably bake them though, as the fried foods tend to bother my stomach! I can't wait to try them! YUM!

  • instead of corn starch (i ran out) can i use flour ?? or will it become lumpy

  • @darkroge Yes, you can use plain flour - but make sure you sift it first to reduce lumps ;)

  • Wow! :D That looks delicious!

  • Wok this way?

  • don´t think that´s chinese honestly

  • I've always wondered how those little triangles of temptation were made.

  • OMG! Prawn Toast was my favourite thing whenever we went out for Chinese when I was younger! I haven't had them for years! Definitely try and make this one! Yum :) x

  • I love to use a wok to cook , even more than a pan!!

I can use them to deep fry , stir fry, steam food ..

Omg~ the possibilities are endless ...

  • @katherineXOXO403 Woks Rock :)

  • I honestly didn't know there were such things as tinned prawns :S

  • @leeham38 They're usually in the same aisle as canned tuna, salmon etc :)

  • Hmm , why do you put 'gay' as search keyword at your website ?

  • @ReyGran Because I'm a very happy person...

  • is it possible to roast them, not deep fried them?

I am a chinese ,I try this dish before and i still not believe it is a chinese cuisine :P

  • @zsp0304 I've never tried roasting them before, so I'm not sure. Give it a try and let us know how they turn out :)

  • @OnePotChefShow In my personal feeling, It is better to serve it with some vinegar or lemon juice. that is all the things I want to say :P

  • I've never had this before, and I love sesame seeds on my food. I'm going to have to try this.

  • damn!!! that looks soo tasty!

  • love the recipe .... i am going to make these :) yum yum

  • No offence but when I first saw your face in the intro I suddenly got reminded of 1 Guy 1 Cup... or at least your reaction :-/

  • @ireoda LOL I'm still recovering from seeing that hahaha

  • are wok's expensive? and whats the difference between using a wok and a regular pan?

  • @thebowlzack Woks are fairly cheap and available from most department stores. Woks are good at distributing the heat evenly and are shaped perfectly for making stir frys etc :)

  • Sesame Porn Toast

  • Much nicer than my local Chinese place makes!

  • @hellokittilove To be honest, I'm not sure if it is Chinese, but every Chinese restaurant seems to sell it :)

  • i live in a take away and your way of doing this is really weird compare to my way of making it but i guess people have their own way of making things

  • @wathepoint Well, I can't be expected to make it exactly the same as people who do it for a living - but this version is good for someone who wants to make it home now and again :)

  • so much easier than paying £4.50 for 4 pieces from the Chinese takeaway!

  • I'm 9th !

  • YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM!

  • I must try this, I love shrimp!

  • @jasongiddensviper478 I hope you have fun making it :)

  • Anyone else watching this...before the sun is even up, I really love and hate time zones! Don't worry I will always love your divine tasting tasty recipes! :)

  • @ajhersi2 If it makes you feel better, it's Sunday night here and I'm freezing!!!
