@grapowski I know you weren't asking me specifically, but I've always believed that cooking is all about experimentation. Try something, and if it doesn't work, go out to eat!
love shrimp toast and now i can make it...looks so easy when i watch you... love that you use canned shrimp, or prawns, lol..im from america so thats what we call em.. any how thanks so much for your videos..
This looks so good!!! To show how random I can be how come when you said shallots it made me think of in RobinHood :Men in Tights when they say "Robin of Loxley!" hahaha love ya post more!!!
Thankyou so much One Pot Chef, you make cooking really easy for me.....and the meals I have been making turn out just like what you have cooked as well...
Thankyou again....I have passed your website onto all my friends too...
David please consider doing an egg roll recipe (pretty please - I am batting my eyelashes)...I have made them before but they are a pain in the arse. Maybe you would have an easier recipe.
I grew up in America and live in The Netherlands now and it's true, they don't have prawn crackers in the US, or at least not as much. For shame! hehe.
This along with the calamari rings is one of the things I love to pig out on when I got to the all you can eats. Bet the home made ones taste better though
mmm Prawn toast. Its 9 am where i live and i havent had breakfast yet. Now all I can think about are these prawn toasts! There goes day one of my diet :)... worth it!
@CatholicExtremist I've seen Podravka in Coles Supermarkets here in NSW. Look in the spread section near peanut butter, nutella etc (with the the meat paste spreads)
Is there something with European chinese food? I've never heard of this in America and when I went to london I thought it was just a family recipe in the specific chinese resturaunt I ate at... apparently not...
@Fruitkiwi It's fairly common down here in Australia, it's strange that you guys wouldn't have it. Maybe you should send this video to your local Chinese restaurant LOL :P
@christschool You must be new to my channel, I often use pantry ingredients in my recipe. I specialise in doing easy recipes for first time cooks, so the ingredients need to be basic. Thanks for watching :)
I should really make that, I love all the ingredients you put in it.. but I just got back from a restaurant in Naples and my belly is so fully I can't even take off my shoes.. lol.. this is my first "to do" dish for tomorrow!
These look great. You've inspired me to make a vegan version of this recipe for me to try in my kitchen! I think I might make it with seitan... or maybe some firm tofu. I'll probably bake them though, as the fried foods tend to bother my stomach! I can't wait to try them! YUM!
OMG! Prawn Toast was my favourite thing whenever we went out for Chinese when I was younger! I haven't had them for years! Definitely try and make this one! Yum :) x
@thebowlzack Woks are fairly cheap and available from most department stores. Woks are good at distributing the heat evenly and are shaped perfectly for making stir frys etc :)
i live in a take away and your way of doing this is really weird compare to my way of making it but i guess people have their own way of making things
@wathepoint Well, I can't be expected to make it exactly the same as people who do it for a living - but this version is good for someone who wants to make it home now and again :)
Anyone else watching this...before the sun is even up, I really love and hate time zones! Don't worry I will always love your divine tasting tasty recipes! :)
this is awesome thank u so much u put it into a language we can all understand. amazing!

I've made this with fresh prawns and I tend to think that cooked prawns may be better.
They seem to have more flavour and less moisture.

That is so simple.
I'm trying that tomorrow!

Hi there! Chef, I love your recipes, but I'm not a big fan of shrimp. Is it possible to replace the shrimp with some meat or maybe chicken? Thanks!

It is best to use rare shrimps to make the paste for the toast then fry it up to get the freshest taste vs using cooked shrimps.
