  • little geezer little midget

  • Wow, this is a brilliant idea! I never though about using my TV for a greenscreen. It's 47"!

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU I LOVE YOU , no homo OMG

  • your video is really great, thanks for the help I. PS I subscribe

  • lol pause at 0:16

  • hi,

fisrt of al thanks for all you sony vegas tuts.

But i have a question. in some of your video's you use the mask tool to edit and cut the pictures/video's that located under position.

unfortunally in don't have that button how can i add this? do you have a video of that??

    Great thanks

    kindly greetings,

  • @dreamkiller007 what 4 version do you have? as far i know its only for sony vegas PRO...

  • I thought this was a brilliant idea, but I tried it and when I turn the camera on the green doesn't look green any more, it looks more white, I wish I knew why this is. I have been trying to do green screen for a while every time unsuccessful, I think it is probably a lighting problem but I am not sure.

  • man ur good!

  • man!! this is awesome!!!

  • Your tutorials are very very helpful ~ Thank you

  • @sharpiesnifferrawr Thank you! I am so pleased you find them helpful :)

  • dude i love ur vids, thanks

  • cant u just use a black tv in all that confusune

  • Thanks for the garbage matte tip. very good way to clean up / remove unwanted shadows (or clamps) lurking in the edges of typical/full green screen shots as well.

    Thanks again Rich!

    Gilles

  • What video editing program did you use

  • @bking123100 It was Sony Vegas

  • awesome green screen

  • useful yeaaaaaaaaaah

  • sweet idea!

  • does it need to be green what about red

  • I don't get it..

Why don't just film yourself infront of the TV while it's off?

  • Can you please link me the link to the editor that you used! :) thanks

  • were not all as small as you i cant fit my whole frekin bosdy into a big t.v.

  • I like the tv Sony Vegas green screen

  • This video made me want to Subscribe :D

  • I advise using a GOOD camera for this, you must have a good screen to use this, if your qulity is poor it will be nowhere close to how great Richi's was.

  • when i put dvd in my computer it works but when i put in tv it says unkwon disk please help

  • @TheDylan1234 Your DVD player is probably not capable of reading these discs (posibly you put it in a DVD cd instead of a Pic CD).

For example I'm gonna try this using a PS3. - PS3 can read these discs.

  • good thanks

  • thanks. this is my main green screen.

  • rich hey buddy i tryed this but i got a green glow can u help me?

  • And.. What I need to do if I don't have a LCD TV?

  • hey is there any old sony vegas pros that are just free 'cuse there old

  • @stylincowgirl1 just get the keygen

  • @JlM4741 yes I know, I have it now, thank you :)

  • aw your so cute and small

  • Hey little rioh how do u get that picture instead of your youtube channel link above your video

  • Pocodot is a rip-off of FaceBook that tries to lure YouTubers into creating an account without the YouTubers knowing that once you make an account, you will:

    1) Recieve a virus

    2) Get your private info sold to third parties

    3) be unable to delete the account

All the YouTube comments with the most thumbs up saying how "awesome" Pocodot is, are fake.

Thumb this comment up to make people more aware, and post it on every single video you can to stop it

  • but what if I need to do it with multiple actors? can I just go projector? :P

  • 48 people are dunce cuz this helped me

  • (no offence intended)

  • YOUR MINI LIKE ME!!!!

  • 1:49 you put it in backward

  • tiny man

  • Rich.. I cant describe how awesome you are..

  • "Make a green screen using your PSP"

  • how much does sony vegas cost

  • @midnight2230 nothing much just $900

  • god your the king your awsome

  • Dude I swear the god, or I'm pretty damn stoned right now .. or I'm seeying only 4 fingers on ur hand.. Sorry if you thought this sentence was offensive.. PS. love your video's, this is the first video I mentioned the finger thing.. soo... can i have an answer.. Damn.. errmm... yehh

  • thhhhhxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • THANK U!!!!! IT REALLY HELPED ALOT!!!!!!!

  • this is a good tutorial but i have after effects so it didnt really help as much but

    thanks for the tutorial anyway!!!!

  • @zombiez56 should help as After effects has chroma key and Keylight so you can still use exactly the same technique ;)

  • Really good tutorial!

  • But how do I find a video or picture or the settings to do this? =(

  • or you can just put the picture up. ever think of that?

  • @9624yllib of course..but if you have a moving background and lets say it takes a few shoots to film your main video of you..you would have a hell of a job of synching the background image to match your main video ie if you had to stop to correct a mistake you would have to rewind the TV image to exactly the same place for it to look seamless. Ever consider that?

  • @richw4 true

  • OMG THANKS

  • btw ppl if you got an PS3 or an Xbox you can just use your usb and upload your pic on there and select the pic and bam! you have a green screen tv LOL

  • what program was he using?

  • Thanx found this helpful but had a chuckle to myself simply because I'm 6 foot tall and had to sit in front of the tv to film!!!

  • in place of putting green as background ya can also just put the edited fx as backgroud it a tv duhh!

  • Why would you make the Green value only half? Shouldn't you use 255?

  • huh? HD without 480p that's weird?

  • thats pretty cool, i just painted 2 of my walls green lol

  • Thanx. Helped a lot since the editing software I use us quite basic so requires a definite colour.

  • Would be funny to wear a green T-Shirt too

    8-D

  • Check out my channel, short yet explanatory tutorials. Im just starting out, so any support would be awesome! (:

    Thank you.

  • Can you use any kind of green paint? It doesnt matter? or do you need special paint?

  • Great video!

  • its work tnx its free and easy

  • What a top tip! Thanks for this, I've subscribed. I'll look at some of your other tutorials, do quite a lot of video effects myself.

  • This was really helpful, thank you so much! I've Subscribed. :)

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE PROGRAM? PLEASE.

    THANK YOU.

  • @REDNECK8187 Sony Vegas, go to sonycreativesoftware.c o m

  • SOLUTION FOR PEOPLE WITHOUT DVD PLAYER: if your olike most people and have a flatscreen/plasma, then u can hook ur computer up to the tv and it works like a monitor. then just open a picture of green and ur done! thumbs up forthe help

  • how did u put the background with earht

    watch?v=5kdOanDvGrA

    hope that helps :)

  • how did u put the background

  • This was so HELPFUL. Thanks

  • cant people just paint their wall green?

  • @HanzumKing You can (my wife won't let me though lol!) I use this technique just for headshots but a piece of green cloth from a fabric shop for full body green screen :) Here's a link to a previous tutorial on green screen : watch?v=5kdOanDvGrA

  • @richw4 wheres the link

  • @HanzumKing Yes :3

  • Good Job man...

  • Thanks :) I managed to do a BOOM HEADSHOT! lmao

  • That is a REALLY clever idea. It beats buying green cloth from ... wherever it's sold, and getting some fancy lights and angling them just right. The best part is if you have a huge TV as everyone seems to these days the opportunities shall be even better.

  • you look fimilar.. have u coasted in the board walk empire?

  • thank you

  • I think you was eaten by the TV?

  • genius

  • Freking! Cool

  • Rick, my man, you are a GENIUS. Cheers, mate, your tutorials just continue to amaze me.

  • why do u have to use your tv and the green disc

  • @richw4 when i do it, it works fine apart from the background i use below it on sony vegas is very light and hard to see and when i try to darken the chroma keyr on vegas i go invisible, help?

  • How big do you think people's TVs are?

  • Nice tutorial, gave me some good insight in the process. When I couldn't sleep last night, I had the same idea, but my workflow was trial and error mostly. Feel free to check out my first try at this technique, it's posted in the video answers.

  • OMG.. IT'S WORK!!

    THANKS YOU THANKS YOU!!!

    Your the best!

    Great accent

  • thanks!!!!it worked yo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ibe more question. i want to make a video where ALL of the screen is black but just my hands are showing. I does card magic and i have seen alot of magicians does them cool videos, just all black and just there hands showing. Any suggestion. Thank you. You just got a new sub from me, your videos are soo helpful

  • great vid!! but is the software u use free or do u hav to pay for it if so how much is it?thank u

  • @LILBabyFutFut it's not free, you can purchase it for £400/$530 off of amazon. worthwhile investment if you know how to use it though

    thats what i did :P

  • @TheEddie3456 immature penis

  • @TheEddie3456 hahahahaha

  • @TheEddie3456 Leave Him Alone He Had A Birt Deffect So Shutup

  • @TheEddie3456 you suck jerk

  • what sofware did you use to record the video of you in front of the green screen

  • this is a good idea, but you can just stand in front of a green blanket

  • I love you! (no homo)

  • do have to buy sony vegas

  • cheers!

  • You can also put the image on your camera and plug it in to your tv - Thumbs up so people can see this :)

  • What program did u use for the green screen plzzzzzz help

  • @unknownstat Sony Vegas 9.0

  • thanx now i got a free greenscreen

  • Briliant! I never would have thought of this. It definitely fixes that pesky problem of even lighting.

  • @amvbob glad you find it helpful, it's really handy if you just want to do a 'head shot' and not set up a big green screen :)

  • @richw4 I use my projector

  • @amvbob genius

  • lol thanks....your awesome!

  • You should have played the video you want in bg on the screen :) Easier!

  • @Spyko2 you think it would be easier but trust me, if you fluff a line etc you have to rewind, find the spot to restart the image etc etc Much easier to add in when you have your final piece to camera done, this is why it is done this way round in the TV/film industry :)

  • thanks a lot I will try this ;D

  • @ghap4a haope it works out for you, have fun :)

  • Wow! This worked great! I can't thank you enough!
