I'm going to read your book about parenting because I want my kids to choose Islam of their own accord. (Don't flame me nonreligious people about why you think that won't happen. Be a real freethinker and don't judge Islam by what you think you know about it, thanks)
Great series and channel. I have been looking for some good parenting tips channels. This is great for advice for believers and non-believers (I am the latter, in case anyone was wondering).
Your videos/books are amazing, I've always wondered how to teach ones own children about the choice to be religious or non without being too preachy/one-sided, as I am agnostic. I want all children (and people in general) to feel free to choose what they feel is right, without judgement. A step in the right direction =D
I truly wish that your book had been available back when my sons, who are both in their thirties now, were very young. As a single parent I had to wing it, and a "support system" would have been so welcome. After studying your philosophy on the matter, though, I am comforted to learn that I did most of the things you suggest on my own!
Heard you on the Point of Inquiry and was very impressed with how you easily you articulated you views and your outlook from humility that 'we' are no more enlightened than 'they' are in the sense that we all have irrational baggage we carry through life. Thanks for sharing!
This is great!! I'm so glad you decided to start this channel. I read PBB a few months ago and loved it! I didn't realize a sequel had been put out. Now I have some shopping to do. I can't wait for more posts!
Nice job Dale! You're not only a fascinating writer, but you're also easy to listen to as a speaker. I think it sets just the right tone--casual, but organized and concise as well.
Really love what you are doing here and over at the site. Would it be possible to also make this available as an iTunes podcast download also? Can't wait to join the Foundation Beyond Belief. Keep up the good work.
Excellent work in not basing this about raising an atheist, but rather raising an informed child who remains curious about the world, personal beliefs or not.
