If you look it up there were 19 generations between Adam and Abraham and they travelled around in tribes. If you look it up there were 19 generations between Adam and Abraham and they travelled around in tribes. Yes Terah father of Abraham was born in Ur but so was Nahor Abrahams grandfather so there were some strong roots here. However these tribes were influential and there documentaion of everything right up to Adam was in fairly high detail. Seth son of Noah was also still alive when Abraham was born so they would have got the story of the flood first hand.

It’s worth noting that the Old Testament never speaks of any rebellion by the angels against Yahweh. Genesis describes the offspring of humans and the sons of God as being great men. There is no mention of them being the monstrosities we see in the later book of Enoch. It's interesting how extremely different the two accounts seem.

The Hebrews did not come from Babylon, as this video states, they came from ancient Israel. They were enslaved by the Babylonians, exiled out of Israel and brought back to Babylon where they supposedly wrote down the narrative that would eventually become the Hebrew Scriptures.And btw, before the Hebrews embraced monotheism, they believed in many gods as well. Anyway, trinity or not, Genesis clearly depicts God as a frightened nancy: afraid that man will live forever and have their minds enlightened if they eat the fruit. And what a prick to kick Adam and Eve out of Eden simply for expressing their free will. Glad I don't believe.

Funny truth to this is that Hebrews did not believe in the devil and as far as I know, modern Jewish people still do not believe in the devil. With them, one god is one god is one god. That means no evil supernatural nemesis. Lucifer was a Babylonian king and his name means "bringer of light."
