I like the fact that for once, he regenerated when he had the choice. 1st he was old, 2 got exiled, 3rd radiation 4th "suicide", 5th fatal injury 6th i forgot 7th gang war, 8th no idea, 9th saved rose, 10th had 2 choices, and took the right one. He knew, his time was coming. Like fixed events (Jack Harkness), he must regenerate, when other people have the chance to live. Just for one "packet" of regeneration. And a face. And personality. And a new suit :D

The scene with the descendant of Nurse Redfern from Family of Blood was brilliant, I have to say. I am really glad they included this. Look at the look on his face when she asks him if he was happy. Very moving, and an unexpected callback to one of my favourite episodes.

the wierdest thing is that i did and said everything they did on this clip...BEFORE it aired then when it actually happened, i cried. hard. like someone i loved died. for real...

everything in me broke..and blew up in my face...then he turned into 11 and i laughed while i cried..and said it gonna be a good year..this was perfect.

Loved the use of "Verity" as a name. Verity Lambert was (I think) the first producer of Doctor Who! She told Wm. Hartnell about the character and he was hooked and decided to do the show!

This kind of seems like Davies last revenge if you ask me. I mean the point of most of the other regenerations is that it is the same man with a different attitude. The Tenth doctor himself convinced Rose that he was the same man that she had loved.

Davies is making it seem like the Doctor is dying, and keeps on saying that and making it so sad, but really it is the same man changing.

Don't get me wrong I love Tennant and this scene made me cry, =(

I am glad that Verity was included in the Doctor's goodbyes. It all fits nicely in the 10th Doctor's life story.
