@Teyethegreat,, Hi Teye, Thanks my friend, I figure I have about 20,000 not counting graphic novels, artwork, action figures, cards and books. When I was younger I had about 75,000 (Complete runs on the Marvel Super-Heroes From the 1960's to the 1980's Plus Many golden age comics from the 1940's &1950's Including Batman's #7 #8, #11, & #17, #25 and About 20 Superman's before 1950 Including #11, 12,) I wish I had all the stuff I had back then, I'd be sitting on a Mint! See ya bud!
@Forysan thanks much, I just returned the favor! I was going to write a comment on your channel but for some reason I couldn't, anyway keep rocking and have a great week! :Dave
@POPARTPRODUCTlONS Sorry about that! I keep the comments section off because I was getting some stalker stuff there for awhile. Still, I try to put up similar vids when I can. I really love your collection though! Do you keep all of that in the basement of your house? I collect comics myself, but I am always looking for suggestions especially when it comes to affording the older stuff. ^^
Holy Crap On A Cracker! I love the nice collection you have going. The shelving unit housing some of your books makes for a great background. I have a few hundred magazines, not too many as i mainly collect comics and do have about 40,000 of them! I also don't have any space left but continue my addiction! Boy i would really love seeing a video tour of your collection room some time. Just noticed hippycollectables also subbed u, a great guy! You sir have a great channel! Hope to see more!
My good buddy, GreggFlaaaaaa, sent me yer way. Now, I woulda sworn we aere already subbed, cause I reconize yer channel page, that has been taken care of!! Creepy!! Eerie!!! Yes! had the honor to talk Forry on the phone about 15 years ago, the man was just plain awesome!!That Vampy 77 is Barbara Leigh. She did a lot of covers. The Acker-Monster!! I need to get shelves like you have. Awesome collection Pop's...just plain awesome!!
Wow, you have the best stuff!!! Jack Kirby FTW!! I used to have some of those FF and Spider-man titles. And I think I still have that Werewolf by Night issue you have hanging in the background:)
@CLETUSinSPACE Hi Johnny, ya, that Werewolf By Night is a #1 and all those Bronze age horror comics have gone up in price and are in demand right now If you have a very fine to near mint one it can be worth well over $100.00, Hope all is going well, I'm working with Lee on you know what, hopefully you'll be getting it within the next week or so! See ya bud!
Thanks for sharing I turned up a box of my old Creepy,Errie, Castle of Frankenstein and Famous Monsters from the 60s that I thought were long lost. Also found some very early Marvel comix as well..Fun memories
If you ever come to England and visit London. I'd recommend going to "The Forbidden Planet" on New Oxford Street. They sell all these collectable comics, fantasy epic books and so on.People pay a lot of money for rae items there. I don't collect comics myself, but a friend of mine does. Your stuff must be worth an awful lot of money. Its an impressive collection
@gizzytiersen Hi John, Thanks for stopping by, and thanks the info on the Forbidden Planet store in England. There is one in New York also but I have never been there! Did you know that the two all-American art forms are Comic-Books and The Blues (Jazz) music! Yep, they are complete America originals, but in today's market, Japan has the largest number of comic-book readers in the world, they even have vending machines for their comic-books. Have a great week John.
Impressive to say the least. The most my collection ever amassed to was 300 or so comics. I do have The Incredible Hulk issue 102 (when it spun off from Tales to Astonish). Sadly it is in poor condition. The cover is separated from the rest of the comic. It is probably worth 50 bucks.
Warren published the greatest horror comics of the '60s, taking up the mantle after EC's demise in the '60s. I had all the great early issues of CREEPY, EERIE, and VAMPIRELLA, and you're right-- the covers were amazing (the early Frazetta's are true all time classics)! Lee and Kirby FANTASTIC FOURS were truly "the world's greatest comic magazine!" -- wow, what a great series! Holy cow, Ditko SPIDEYs! Outstanding! Congrats on a killer collection, Pops, and thanks for a great video!
Incredible collection you have Dave! I'm telling you man, if I ever got into your comic vault, I wouldn't come out for months! As you already know, I'm a huge fan of the horror comics.Creepy was one of my favorites! I love them all. I need to re-post the cover photos back on my FaceBook page. I have a friend that's a huge collector, you might know him. Tom from the Hippy4Life4a channel. He has a channel called HippysCollectables. I'm gonna share this vid with him. do more comic vids bro! TU!
@greggfla Thanks Gregg, Yes, I remembered when you had all those comic-book covers posted! I saw them all ! I think I'm subbed to Tom, all I know is I think I remember him showing his Death Of Super-Man comics! (If that's the same dude) And I'll probably do more of these Pop's Comic Vaults in the future! Keep rocking brother, Later, Dave
Frank Frazetta did a shitload of album covers too,,I used to jerk off to Vampirella (LOL) Holy shit Dave...! WOW Kraven(Ditko creation) would be a great character for the new movie!.....Wow ...just Wow !!!
