Well, I'm not a Crystal Castle's connoisseur but with all due respect, I would'nt consider them all that special.  The 2 or 3 albums from Ladytron (for example) or Austra's debut album or Colder seem to research more the 80's range of synth sounds. Also, it seems to me 80's revival bands are mostly guitar oriented, which is interesting but different, and overexploited. There is not many bands like New Division who are not purely modern electro but blend nostalgia with actual.

Rarely heard a band blend the 80's with a modern sound and yet remain catchy and not sounding like a copy of whatever was hype 25 years ago. Especially, they don't go into the gimmicky IRONY attitude hipsters nowadays do.
