Well, you did all the research, or got it from somewhere else. Which only goes to show that you are in a battle for your soul. Some people come up with all sorts of reasons why they should not submit to Jesus. For some it is pride, for some it is a private sin they are afraid to acknowledge or give up. Actually, Jesus knows all your faults already. He will clean your life up, if you ask Him. You can not do it yourself, so that is your only hope. My best to you.

Numbers 31:17-18 Put it into context. Women were treated like objects back then, a sad truth, not condoning any of the actions taking place, just recounting that it happened. Sacraments are meaningless! The LORD's table is a remembrance not anything that can give us Grace! There is one form of Grace and that is found in the word of God not in the Sacraments! Transubstantiation is also a false doctrine!

There are actually two sacraments, and they are NOT meaningless.

Baptism signifies the cleansing of sin, and the coming of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord's Supper signifies our communion with Christ and looks forward to the feast we will share with HIM in heaven.

Both of them ARE means of grace - not salvation - and both are clearly instituted in the Bible.

@WorshipVideo Go back and consult the Catechism, there are seven sacraments, Baptism, Confession, Communion, Anointing of the Sick, Extreme Unction (aka last rights), Marriage/Holy Orders/Priesthood. I guess you do not know much about the Church do, you? Baptism of infants is not warranted by Scripture, Grace is not Sacramental, Grace is what was done on the Cross, do yourself a favour and Study!

Huh? I am well aware of what the Roman Catholic Church teaches. But it is wrong. The Bible only has warrant for the two sacraments.

Grace was done on the cross? Actually, Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for sins. You can be saved by grace, which is defined as unconditional favor.

Do yourself a favor and Study Ephesians 2, etc...

I have studied, there is one form of Grace, when Matt sings about Sacramental Grace this is not found in Scripture! I am well versed in Scripture (I am currently preparing to go on Mission before I go to Bible School and then Seminary), I am also a former Catholic, now born again, I was born Jewish and Raised Catholic, I think I know a thing or two.

I'm sure if Matt were to sing about the Trinity, we could not find this is in the Bible. If Muslims say "God is great" does that necessarily mean that the statement is wrong?

@WorshipVideo We have many proves of the Trinity, for example the Baptism of Yeshua, Yeshua was in the water, the LORD said this is my son, and the Spirit came in the form of the devil. Also the Great commission Yeshua says 'Go out and make disciples and Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit' not to Mention other places in Sacred Scripture!

The LORD Lead me out of the Catholic Church (I am Jewish adopted by and Raised Catholic my Life teen Priest who was also Born Again and let everyone receive communion the only exception is that You needed to be Born Again and Baptized [did not matter what church] Gave me his blessing for leaving [He wanted to leave but the LORD told him to stay and to take the truth back to the church]), This is the Product of one of the very few Saved and Born again Catholics!

This is a Catholic song with unscriptural lyrics. I hate to say that but there are no sacraments to win points with God, only by the blood of Jesus and that is not on the alter of some idol ridden "church". What tipped me off sacrament and community. I agree

God is WONDERFUL, He is also just and demands perfection that can only be imputed to us by the perfect sacrifice delivered once for all who are in Christ by faith through grace and that not of yourselves it is a gift of God lest any boast.

Yes, Matt Maher is a Roman Catholic, and yes, the Roman Catholic church is wrong about many things.... including their view of the sacraments.

But I don't see why Protestant would disagree with the lyrics here. There are 2 sacraments - Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We are fed by Christ in the LS.... spiritually, of course. And I am often encouraged in my faith by fellowship with other believers.

What's the problem with the lyrics?

It says that "I was poor" i kinda don't agree with that because we should always be poor or else if we think we have enough then we would be foolish and we won't take anymore of the Lord.... and it's a good song and hopefully we will all become overcomers before the end of times.
