So quick question from my knowledge of the word hiatus, I'm assuming although this was started in 2009 and it's now 2011 that you will finish it someday. Though I'm also assuming you may lack voice actors. so.. I can do a pretty good scout impression and a decent sniper impression so.. if you ever do continue to work on this machinima and need voices for either a scout or sniper. Then I'd be pleased to assist in the voice work.

@Mario78718 only the intro screen and engineers computer thingy. The rest has been done in a greenscreen map inside TF2 (using Valves Faceposer to play the animations)

Shader detail in advanced video settings is the one that controls this. Setting it to high will give you rain. I'm running it on an Sapphire Ati/AMD HD4850

Shader set to very high the rest to high and 4xMSAA and 4xFSAA @ 1680x1050. Anyway try setting the shader detail to a minimum of high and tweak the other settings to get rain (it is GPU intensive though, so it might not work for you)

How did you get Scout in L4D?

He's not really on L4D ;)

And the idea behind the "self" Uber is that a powerup from another world (in this case L4D pills) will increase the TF2 class skills. In scout's case he becomes much faster able to dodge the zombies without us able to see it.

The exit hardware was indeed temporarily destroyed, but scout his teleportation was permanent. That is, until he finds a way to get back. If others teleport while scout is still in L4D, they will only be able to stay for a limited period. Also the reason why sniper teleported back. And they will spawn at random locations from scouts current position without the need for exit hardware.

If scout manages to get back to 2Fort, the exit hardware will be restored in a random location (can even be another world).

I also think all the materials and textures will not be seen in the TF2 version of the source engine though. L4D is using a custom file system and also other custom stuff not present in TF2-ep2 engine.

Ah well at least I can greenscreen to my hearts content :D A little bit more work, but the end result is more satisfying :D

The idea was, because Scout is from another game with different rules. It would result in a hybride combo of an Übercharge and increasing the scout his main skill (speed). Which is kinda similar to what it does for the survivors (while on low HP it increases stamina/speed)
