  • what country are Terveet Kadet from?

  • REAL HxC music indeed!

  • I don't want this to "come back". I'm assuming you've all watched American Hardcore. Yknow that part where I think it was Rollins or Morris talking about how people were reproducing all of the bands from the 60s at the time and they wanted to do something new? Yeah, we're just as bad. People gotta take the influence from hardcore and do something new with it, ya know? Hardcore is fucking great, don't get me wrong. I was in a hardcore band for 4 years. But this is just how I see it now.

  • Thank you for this video!

  • Where's the Discharge, man? D-BEATTTTT

  • I prefer the more metal sounding bands, Figure Four, Buried Alive, Terror, Unitl The End, Turmoil, Cast Aside. Still hardcore to me though cus of the message, but it sounds nothing like these bands here.

  • This shit rules. Reminds me a lot of thrash. Either way they are both raw!!

  • where have you found the song "Bitch" of the Minor Threat? i never heared it before.

  • oi! oi!

  • sceamo started from Hardcore Punk in the early 90s.. a screamo band for excample is Pg. 99.. now quit arguing peoples

  • isnt this just punk rock?

  • @sSTRE3TDR3EMZz94 Nah, punk rock is slower and boring and pay waaaaay more attention to the physical aspect and doesn´t pretend to be anarchist. Besides, HxC is often associated with straight edge - Sid vicious, the punk symbol, was definetely NOT. HxC kids slam dance and circle pit and punks just... pogo.

I´m just giving you some stupid differences between both that first popped up in my mind, who cares.

  • @thrashsugus oh.. well i thought NoFX, Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys, etc, were punk rock. and bands like Trash Talk and The Unseen were Hardcore Punk.. but i like them both anyway

  • @sSTRE3TDR3EMZz94 Just enjoy good music like this, categories suck ass indeed.

  • @thrashsugus no worries

  • Minor Threat and Gorilla Biscuits! =)

  • i am happy that i dont like that kind of music...

  • this is real hardcore ?? what year is that ??

and when the screamo begin ???

  • @ThakafaForum in about 83

and screamo bull shit startedin like 04 but originated from death metal

  • @chiloecko Screamo originated from death metal? That's not a serious statement is it?

  • @ThakafaForum real hardcore punk started in the early 80's with bands like Blag Flag, Cirlce Jerks Middle Class, FEAR, Minor Threat etc...

  • Respond to this video... screamo would never have come about without this music influencing them first...all these random genres started from punk rock.

  • I DID SOME KINDS OF A SECOND PART OF THIS VIDEO!

    SEARCH ON YOUTUBE FOR:

"THE REAL UNDERGROUND - HARDCORE OF THE 80'S"

  • EVERYONE CHECK OUT THE BAND ''OFF!'' ITS FRONTED BY KEITH MORRIS, THE ORIGINAL SINGER FOR BLACK FLAG, AND SINGER FOR CIRCLE JERKS. HIS NEW BAND IS ''OFF!'' LOOK THEM UP!!!

  • @PahubianInfluence666: thanks, but i know about that band since one year and who don't?

  • @BostonHardcorePunk a lot of people havn't heard of them, that's why im letting people know. dont get all mad.

  • @PahubianInfluence666 everone loves off! i saw them live

  • Gorilla Biscuits. <3

  • Second Wind, Not Minor Threat DEMO

  • why are all these modern hardcore bands sounding more and more like screamo

  • you got an own hardcore band?

than send your songs on facebook to:

Idiot State (Hardcore punk comp cd)

and get on their D.I.Y. compilation with your band!

  • My band is putting together a hardcore punk compilation cd titled "idiot state" to submit your bands songs go to our facebook page. (search for "idiot state (hardcore punk comp cd) Cause you can't post link on youtube

  • where in the hell is minor threat and bad brains!???

  • @15brose minor threat is in there. i have no idea why they didnt include bad brains

  • Hardcore punk has a big influence in metal. The speed of the songs and the whole I don't give a fuck attitude makes it fucking awesome!

  • that's my favorite beastie boys song. that and holy snappers.

  • Omg!! What the fuck is that ?? Do u guys really love that ?? Lol .

  • No Bad Brains???

  • SKATEBOARDING , HARDCORE PUNK <3

  • That song Bitch isn't by Minor Threat. Second Wind did that. They just sound a lot like them, mainly because Steve Hansgen played bass with them and the singer Richard Moore sounds a lot like Ian MacKaye, what with the nasally monotone vocals.

  • kick ass ,i love this shit

  • All of you have to Check out CEREBRAL BALLZY. Theyre bring this stuff back hard.

  • @bobbybrielle they kick ass

  • @bobbybrielle HAHA they played here for free with Murphy's Law

  • great but why no germs? im not sure about anyone else but they sound like hardcore to me.

  • Really good mate but you forgot the Bad Brains!

  • and btw, bloodstains sounds pretty bad ass

  • every band here fucking rules, as a 14 year old in the 21st century, i just have to say, what the fuck happend to this shit?!?!?!?! we need to start another "good" hardcore scene like this, im sick of people say this band called Bullet for my valentine is more hardcore and punk than black flag, who the hell says that?

  • @DenyVoidDead TRUE !

  • @DenyVoidDead people actually said that Bullet For My Fag'n'stine was better than Black Flag? dude that's just deppressing. did u knock 'em one upside the head?

  • @blackserenade24 for the record, yes that was actually said. As i was entering fuck shit up mode, i realized this kid was hardcore/scene/emo and that they think its cool to be annerexic or whatever and realized he would get in a little bit of pain from the ultra violence. so i said lee ving fucked your mom and walked away

  • @DenyVoidDead YES XD kid u r the shit

  • Comment removed

  • @blackserenade24 ahh thanks man haha

  • @DenyVoidDead The Hardcore scene is thriving wuite well at the moment BUT It's all the slow 2 stepper bollocks not the fast upbeat good shit! the closest thing to this in modern day is trash talk and thats only skimming the surface :/

  • @DenyVoidDead I really hope that you're joking about people saying that Bullet For My Valentine is more hc and punk than Black Flag.

  • Yeah yeah lots of argue but good music anyways.

  • THIS FUCKIN SUCKS! YOU GUYS MUST BE RETARDED HAHAHAHA

  • PT1 mabey since all here R oldscool, name a song and who it was by that I recorded from either "hell hole" are krucial kaos radio back in mid to late eighties. Guitar and bass were tuned like metal (like DRI or Exploited) other than that it was 100% punk, not as fast as the stuff here. It starts just bass and drum, then heavy guitar kicks in, then vocals (very punk style & sound). Lyrics went something like this: I'm not going to work today, I'm not gonna listen to what you say...

  • PT2'''..listen jerks like you, better off dead CHORUS .._ your disgusting U make me sick. you can go out of business for all I care_...really goin anywhere... your _ your_ your disgusting, you make me sick SICK" All the blanks R lyrics I could not distinguish/remember. My guess is it was recorded mid to late eighties, before 1990. The tape I had broke, The DJ was female (spermacide?) but didnt record her saying what band it was.

  • PT1 ince all here know the old stuff, may be someone can tell me the name of this band and the song that recorded off the radio, Hell-hole or Krucial Koas. a song and who it was by that I recorded from either "hell hole" are krucial kaos radio back in mid to late eighties. Guitar and bass were tuned like metal (like DRI or Exploited) other than that it was 100% punk, not as fast as the stuff here. It starts just bass and drum, then heavy guitar kicks in, then vocals (very punk style & sound).

  • Is the Beastie Boys you got here the same that later did rap? I've been told it is so many times over the yrs and still have trouble accepting it.

  • I LOVE this video!!! Especially since you put Toxic Reasons and Batallion of saints in the list (personal favorites!) Although its hard to pick favorites. Great video!

  • WHERES GG ALLIN???? fuck this

  • I like food, food is good? wow... great... music.. guys

  • Hardcore punk sounds pretty shitty

  • Bitch isn't a Minor Threat song, it's a song by Second Wind or some crap like that

  • mmmm.... Bad brains????

  • Is this the same Beastie Boys as the electronic/rap band? o_o

  • @odaxelagniaproject yes. first ep. hahahahahaha awesome

  • @odaxelagniaproject first they were a punkband i think

  • @zReverie get on it! haha

  • I'm hearing death metal :D

I think I'll stick with Sex Pistols

  • @juliusyeung0330 Don't worry, you'll come crawling back

  • this is shit

  • Wow! This is great! Love it.

  • Fucking awesome bands!!!

  • LOL A Poor Excuse too. Awesome saw their last show where McCarthy drank his own piss in beer bottle by accident while singing. (Shenanigans back fire)

He Plays guitar in a band with me now called SCFF* too. He's also the lead singer of For The Worse.

  • Damn, I would love to have that Deadline lp. I believe only one side of it has music on it too. great shite, better than their shite on D.C. comp in my opinion. Should of bought it years ago at Newbury Comics but was to busy hanging out in the "PIT" at Harvard SQ. i do have the Fuck Ups 82 ep though. They are great hate-edge punk.

Fang & Sick Pleasure rule too!

  • im really glad u posted this im always lookin for new punk to listen to its just fuckin hard tryin to find new bands i love most of them ill check out the cuple i didnt u have awsome taste u music bro

  • KORO!

  • Who knew beating the shit out of the drums and playing guitar as fast as you can could be so epic? BRING HARDCORE BACK!

  • no Bad Brains?

  • @WoodyAllenNY

Bad Brains are from D.C. But they were one of the pioneers of hardcore.

  • Sick Pleasure blows everyone of these mutherfucker's out of the water-

  • where is LeATHERMOUTH?????

  • This line up plus Bad Brains and a few others all playing one after the other? It would be too crazy but the BIGGEST FUN for century's!

  • sick of it all is best of all

  • 5:18 thats not minor threat that a band called Second Wind there a dope as band

  • Wheres Screeching Weasel at?

    My dick is sad.

  • sticking to the thrash-theme: remember the band DRI? the speed of hardcore punk influenced metalheads to play in a faster and more snotty way -> thrash metal!

  • Government Issue!!

  • Hardcore punk - just an annoying version of thrash metal.

  • @mynameisjonas45 But without Hardcore there would be no thrash... Just a thought. There's a reason Hanneman's guitar is covered in punk stickers.

  • @Decrystallizing Nope. Thrash came from heavy metal. Ever heard of the "Big Four"? Megadeth, Anthax, Slayer, and Metallica? They were the pioneers of thrash metal.

  • @mynameisjonas45

have you ever seen and heared them talking. They sure are big fans of thrash metal (for example jeff hanneman and Anthrax itself). And hey ever heard of cliff burtons favorite T-shirt and that metallica at first wanted to start A punk band. But the music was to easy to their likings?

  • @mynameisjonas45 I don't want to start a war, but I want to say this: Hardcore punk and British Heavy Metal influenced the sounds/style of thrash. Also, did you even know that Anthrax was heavily influenced by hardcore punk, but had metal influences too? The entire big four was influenced by hardcore punk...punk in general actually. Also, you do realize that a huge chunk of the East Coast thrash scene was hardcore crossing over to thrash right? Without hardcore punk, there is no thrash

  • @iHateCrappyMusic That's a good point. However, to me, hardcore punk just sounds like an annoying version of thrash metal. So Slayer was actually influenced by hardcore punk?

  • @mynameisjonas45 lol yeah man. That's where they get a lot of their aggression and speed

  • @iHateCrappyMusic Can you give examples of songs that have hardcore punk influences please?

  • @mynameisjonas45 Listen to Show No Mercy. It has some hardcore-ish riffs and speed mixed with speed metal/British metal

  • @mynameisjonas45 Slayer did a full album of hardcore punk covers! And Anthrax was the first metal band to have mosh in their shows, cuse they were huge friends with Agnostic Front. Metallica ALWAYS playes punk covers in their shows (mostly the misfits). And well Megadeth doesn't have that much of a punk influence but they still did a Sex Pistols cover years ago.

  • @andreisidro It seems to me like American thrash metal has punk influence, while Brazilian thrash metal often has death metal influence.

  • @andreisidro Metallica used to be a misfits tribute band dude ... before they were a band band

  • @KadeshLeMort Are you sure about that? I'm not saying your wrong, I'm just saying It's not very likely cus James first band was a metal band called Leather Charm, then he met Lars and formed Metallica and they were only introduced to the misfits when Cliff joined. Maybe I'm missing something, but for what I know they were already Metallica when they've heard of the Misfits. But if what you're saying its true then cool!

  • @andreisidro When they were kids

  • @KadeshLeMort Not true. But alright.

  • @rockluverx2 It was hetfield lars and some other guys

  • @andreisidro Of course, the term "thrash" is synonymous with hardcore punk. Thrash metal wouldn't be thrash metal without the little touch of punk in it

  • @iHateCrappyMusic

It inferiates me how no one seems to understand, Theres like 3 kids at my school with SxTx (Suicidal Tendancies) shirts. SxTx is punk and thrash crossover, one of the pioneers to be exact. But I get spat on for wearing a minor threat shirt because apparently theres a war between punks and thrashers. I'm neither lol. I just love the music.

  • @imabadexample1 Just ignore them lol. I deal with that all the time (even from my own family) but I no longer give a fuck haha

  • @iHateCrappyMusic

I know exactly what you mean lol! My aunt has infected my little sister with garbage like josh turner and taylor swift. She might not be with us much longer... lol.

  • @iHateCrappyMusic i agree man i fuckin love hardcore punk and thrash

  • @mynameisjonas45 I used to think that when I first started hearing this stuff on "hell hole" on a college radio station. My opinion changed after a while. Anyway, I doubt Slayer and other greats would have been what they are if it was not for these bands. Give a listen to Slayers "Undisputed Attitude" D.R.Is "dealing with it" S.O.D. Speak English or Die (3 fr Anthax and Billy Milano). If after listening to those a few times and you do not like those, you'll probably never like this stuff

  • A good video for good people. DIY
