Watching this game again three years later, it just reinforces that i thought back then: you can't win the NBA title with just a starting lineup. Despite the Big 3's amazing performance the whole season, the Celtics would not have won the title without James Posey, Eddie House, and PJ Brown. You need stars AND role players. And yes, Miami Heat, that includes you too.

Compared to the other teams like the Spurs and the Celtics the Lakers are younger than both those teams. It's just a matter of motivation and energy to try and three-peat. It's pretty difficult when you've played three NBA Finals in a row. The Lakers last season lost 7 of their 11 final games before heading into the playoffs

Yes, true. Let's look at it again. He gets the ball at 0:59 with his left foot down on the floor. He then takes a step with his right, which is legal, since the left is the pivot, but then he takes another big step with that left pivot foot before the ball hits the floor on that first dribble. When that happens on your own half of the court, setting up the next play, I wouldn't call it, but since he makes the drive to the basket the refs gotta stop it, IMO.
