6:45 - so the idea is that everyone will become Jewish, though not all are to become Jewish before Mashiyach? I'm really trying to understand this because it seems that most of the time Judaism wants to tell the nations to keep 7 laws of Noach and not become Jewish..or a part of Judaism...why? So that there will be people to fulfill this passage?
UFARATZTA FELLAHS' I absolutely love you guys....and Tovia I want you to know that over the past 10 years,I have fallen head over heals in Love with the God of Israel, and you provided me with the box of Valentines chocolates..And by the way, when you see that ragged, beat down convert that finally made it to Gods dwelling place, you know the one with tears in his eyes and God on his lips, the one walking towards you wide eyed and crazy. Ignore the bandages, its just me. I want to thank God for you.
No, no my friend, not that song, before that sond at the very beginning of the video. I think the song saying something like this "nale nale nale Migdash"
For you are a holy people unto the LORD your God: the LORD your God hath chosen you to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all people: But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers (Deuteronomy 7:6-8).
I accept God at His Word, support and love Israel.
Insightful and meaningful - and the message is unfortunately not mainstream or intuitive. If Judaism is the one true religion, how can a non-Jew live a fulfilling spiritual life? How can Judaism believe that people can be completely fulfilled / saved if they are not in the right boat?!? I think I got your answer but it is worth repeating and repeating.
"Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I [was] there. And now the Lord GOD and His Spirit Have sent Me."
Exodus 7:1 will that throw trinity out cos now there are 5 G-ds. But wait, in Genesis, did not G-d say that Adam has become like us ( G-d ) so that makes 6 G-ds.
CONTEXT makes sense without it is pretext to whatever
Even in this version there is an intermingling of words. In the beginning I did not speak in secret, was said by the Shechinah. From the time it was, there was I, was said by the prophet. It is possible to interpret it so that there should not be intermingling of words [as follows:] Draw near to me, hearken to this what I prophesy to you regarding the downfall of Babylon and your redemption.
In the beginning I did not speak that in secret. From the time it was, that the Holy One, blessed be He, decreed to bring it, there I was. This teaches that from the time of the decree, the Holy One, blessed be He, appoints the prophet who is destined to prophesy regarding the matter in the council of the heavenly household, although it has not yet been created.
"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He [is] just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey."
Is this who you are looking for, or is this who has come?
Zechariah 9:10 "And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen [nations]: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth."
Anyone could ride into Jerusalem on a donkey, not just the Messiah, but He must fulfill verse 10 also.
The fact that this verse begins with the word "and" can only mean that whatever event it is describing must follow directly on the heels of the event described in the preceding verse. In other words, very shortly after the Messiah rides into Jerusalem on a donkey's colt, world peace will ensue. This, of course, did not happen.
I do not remember the exact quote, but I remember hearing Shlomo Carlebach saying that the Jew should be walking the streets of the world telling the nations, "We have such good merchandise."
