Insightful and meaningful - and the message is unfortunately not mainstream or intuitive. If Judaism is the one true religion, how can a non-Jew live a fulfilling spiritual life? How can Judaism believe that people can be completely fulfilled / saved if they are not in the right boat?!? I think I got your answer but it is worth repeating and repeating.

Anyone could ride into Jerusalem on a donkey, not just the Messiah, but He must fulfill verse 10 also.

The fact that this verse begins with the word "and" can only mean that whatever event it is describing must follow directly on the heels of the event described in the preceding verse. In other words, very shortly after the Messiah rides into Jerusalem on a donkey's colt, world peace will ensue. This, of course, did not happen.
