Bath time is THE WORST!!!

Georgia our cavelier would just stand there in the tub giving us the saddest little look....as if she could get even more cute! Misty would try and jump out of the tub but now just puts up with it and looks like a drowned rat and its hard not to laugh

My shih tzu's first bath was horrible!! Lol, she screamed like I was killing her. I had to learn that she needed constant comforting and I had to be at eye level so she didn't feel like I was overpowering her, haha!

oh get that baby out and get him warm!......mine shivers, they are so scared of the baths.....we warm towels up in the dryer so when their bath is over, we have a warm towel to wrap them in....and they just go to sleep in our arms....:)

my dog george always acts like i'm trying to kill him when i bathe him. i usually give him a shower and let him stand on the floor while i shampoo him. i figured out he's scared of drowning because his snout is so short and gets water in it so easily, so i stick his face in the water only as long as i absolutely have to. he doesn't complain as much but hoo boy does he hate having his face washed!!!

There are better ways to bathe dogs. You should really listen to their wants. If the dogs cries like that, they really dont like it. You should talk to them and make them relax and do it very gently and comfortable manner with warm water. My dog loves bathing. I feel bad for the dogs.

My shih tzu hates baths. He doesn't whimper but always tries to escape. We use a deep sink/tub. But he hates it the most when I blow dry him off, though brushing he doesn't seem to mind. While on the other hand my maltese falls asleep in baths. lol.

@wernera1 my shi tza Max licks his face all the time when hes getting a bath and so far he seems a ok. Ive also washed him with head and shoulders and pantene pro v and hes still fine and dandy :)

@simoncrosby87 You should really look into getting a pet shampoo. Human shampoos can dry out their coat and skin because a dogs PH balance in their skin is different from ours. I recommend Fresh 'n Clean Oatmeal and Baking Soda (The baking soda deodorizes so it keeps them smelling nice for a long time). Professional groomers also use a tearless shampoo on the face.

lol. Mine hate having baths. We put her into the laundry tub, easier on teh back when she's squrming lol. Though when they are muddy from the walk, i just dip there feet adn bellys into an old icecream bucket adn then have to blow dry them.....which they HATE!!!! Often get lots of scratches lol

Do you find that when a stranger comes in, the shih tzus will bark crazy and defend like crazy but like creep back? Our cavelier just wants a pat, my brothers dog, a blue heeler, wants to play haha
