@carinfo4u ABS prevents lock ups, it doesn't help any diffrent then when stopping on pavement. Traction Control reduces power, and it can also provide individual wheel braking that is not connected to the ABS set up. Get a car with traction controll, take it on a dirt road, try and go sideways, when at a certian degree of a slide, to the left it will lock up the right, to the right it will lock up the left. Has nothing to do with ABS. Again, with braking, its the same technology used to stop.
Electronic Brake distribution is the answer then, which is connected to the ABS.

That would be traction control.. NOT abs.

@puremaplesyrup22 its ABS when stopping, traction control is when the engine power is restricted to the wheels when accelerating.
