I know someone who worked at MCW. He did a few metrobuses but mainly trains

One of the buses my school uses for trips and school bus services up here in Manchester is a Metrobus, and it's F-reg. In a similar blue/white livery (for the school though), but it's got seatbelts! Judging from the one paper display on the side it's ex-NXWM, all the other displays have stickers over them. Makes me smile every time I go on it...

Well, end of this year is the best guess to be honest , theres still a few of walsall's metrobuses sneak out on services, 394 / 395 / 340/341 ... the likes of 2819 2830 3020 3023 2790 there is a few more ive seen about too!

I need to get out & about on Coventry's before they go, 3037 is destined for scrap thanks to that lorry, 3064 is next for withdrawal followed by 3055 & before we know it, the last 9 will be gone! 10 years ago there was over 100 more than that at Coventry!

It will be a shame when the MCW goes, though if TWM are looking for a similar replacement, try the DAF DB250. Wicked Vid.

The DAF DB250 Sounds like a mcw metrobus engine, the Gardner, and the same whine!

Doubt NX will get it as Arriva has Londons DB250s, probably b more lik the 51 reg tridents NX has in london.

Sadly though, 2530 will be one of the first to be withdrawn towards the end of this month & unless anyone is willing to have her completely re-done due to rot if it's even possible anymore, she's off for scrap.
