Thank you. Coming from a return missionary, I find it surprising that anything you read that's not approved from the church dealing with religion is considered anti-Mormon. I think it's healthy to keep an open mind :)
I always find it weird to hear about adults who continued to persist on babyhood doctrines and teachings when they were adults. Not just in LDS churches, but elsewhere too. How were these people so incurious that they didn't pay attention as they grew older? Oh well.
@ImLDSRU2 Brainwashing, man. It's not easy to fight when you're raised to trust a religion and how to deal with and subdue doubts. It can be especially difficult if you're born into it and you grow up thinking it's totally normal. By the time you're old enough to look at it analytically, it's terrifying to think that you might have to deny everything you've ever been taught.
@phantasmatron5 Maybe so. But again... as you grow up and learn things your perceptions should change. In the case of Lamborn... it appears to me he learned nothing for years and then was embarrassed at his ignorance. I say its on him.
@DKApollon we all have what we believe other churches fault... what i was trying to say is that... keep it to your Church's community and don't go around, openly looking for ways to destroy a church... if you didn't get what i mean.. i'll explain again... point we all see faults in other churches, but we don't go posting videos about it... only your church does.
@Kouruu0609 These videos offer support to people who have decided to leave the Mormon Church of their own freewill.
Given the psychological control devices used by the LDS leaving can for some be difficult and traumatic.
As for "see[ing] faults in other churches" the 50,000 Missionaries of the Mormon Church do daily describe every other church or religion, Christian or otherwise as false.
The First Vision and Doctrine and Covenants also condemn all other churches especially the Catholic faith.
Congrats! I am an ex-Mormon of 33 yrs. Jesus stated the truth shall set you free and I feel that freedom. After thoroughly studying the Bible I've found that the only way a Mormon can say they believe the Bible is comparable to the Book of Mormon is if they have never studied it. Since leaving the church I've spent hundreds of hours studying it and can disprove, Biblically, every gospel principle of the Mormon church. Mormons scripture pick to justify a doctrine. They don't study.
Although I respect the LDS, I really appreciated hearing this man tell his story. All people should try to find themselves and have oneness with the universe.
Funny how from then and now, People are so envious of a Church who doesn't waste their energy and time finding fault in other Churches. BUT WHATEVER YOU DO... " No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing". If taking care of their own families is wrong, if trying to be fair to everyone is wrong, if NOT CRITICIZING A RELIGION is wrong... I don't know what's right.... uhmmmm... join your video posters Church?
@Kouruu0609 "talk to your archeologists too... the best ones are now wondering how the trails in the Book of Mormon are identical with their finds."
One fact does not a theory make. Two facts does not a theory make. Three facts does not a theory make. A coherent framework describing facts and predicting new phenomena is what makes a theory. Do not be so proud of a single coincidence...
@Kouruu0609 A basic belief of the mormons is that the church of LDS is the only and true church/religion since Jesus died. That after his death all Christians pretty much became apostates and it wasn't until Joseph Smith that the true path of Jesus was once again followed.
This is what missionaries tell people when knocking on their doors.
If that is not finding faults in other churches, I know not what is.
Funny how the Church of this uploader... or THIS CHURCH... tries so hard to bring down the mormon Church. while the mormon church is busy giving aide to other countries... while mormons try to correct their imperfect lives, take care of their families... this other Church, finds so much time getting videos of people who got out of the Mormon Church... as in ALL CHURCHES... there are many who fall away too.
its good to hear from other people who were supressed as children and never given the choice to believe in anything different than the LDS church. I can only be greatfull that i had good people in my life to help open my eyes and bring me away from the church at my young age. The LDS church stole close to 20 years of my life, and im still recovering. Thanks lyndon.
Neal A. Maxwell - “Those who believe for a while make only a brief tour in the kingdom, though thereafter they often feel qualified to inform those who know even less about the Church but the fact is they were really only tourists not natives who really knew the kingdoms countryside.”
@velcro055 Lyndon Lamborn (from the video) is not one of the "tourists" that Neal A. Maxwell seems to be describing. In fact, why don't you see for yourself (if you are willing) by listening to the audio of Lyndon's excommunication council by using the following link on youtube:
@iamanexmormon I have listened to it twice. I have read "Under the Banner". In these "Why I am not a Mormon" are from individuals whom historical/theological intelect and studies (not to be rude) are a basic/elementary level of understanding and knowledge. I LOVE to listen to these messages. Nice people, but nice doesn't help with theological knowledge and indepth studies of the Bible and it's history. Every question is a tiny quote, article etc that has nothing nor baring on the church!
@velcro055 Absolutely right! I wish I would have the time to find fault in other churches like this uploader @iamanexmormon has.... do you have anything for muslims too? ... how about Catholics?... Why don't you put up a video where your good church is volunteering in large capacities, donating to charities in large amounts, many of which are requested not to be sensationalized nor printed. So busy... putting down a Church. Goodluck, your efforts are in vain.
He was a member 45 yrs. as he said in the video. Not a tourist by anyones measure. Your quote by Maxwell is antagonistic and invalidating of Lyndon's story and many others just like him. Put down your weapons and stop fighting this illusionary battle that you have allowed to be a part of your thinking. People leave because they have studied more deeply and more intensly than they had ever palnned on and found truth.
@velcro055 and to counter Neal Maxwell they become INFORMED natives that really do know the kingdom's countryside.....as well as it's history and its doctrine from the mouth of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young who married other men's wives and fathered children with them while they were still married to other men. That's adultery and it is preached agianst in D&C 132:61 for those who are not limiting themselves to a brief tour and want to know the countryside.
@velcro055 Maxwell was a spinmaster. He was very very talented when it came to using beautiful language to fit a square peg into a round hole. The church goes so far out of its way to warn against opposing opinions and that doesn't strike me as conducive to a healthy decision-making process. Shouldn't you examine all the evidence when trying to find the truth? Especially with something so important as your eternal welfare?
I'm glad Lyndon found himself. Its not just about whether one religion is more right than another, it's about finding what works best for you. Thinking for yourself. You'll have completion, a true sense of fulfillment. Peace Love Unity and Respect.
@LDStoTh3core Once you're done trying to find meaning in silly little stories about Golden Tablets and getting your own planet, feel free to come to a local university and talk to a physicist, chemist, biologist or astronomer. We LOVE talking to you, and you'll learn it's ok to drink COFFEE while discussing the beautifully fascinating world that's all around us! You'll learn about REALITY, argue over data, experience joy from mathematics, and meet some really cool people! Bring your doubt! :)
Most people do not know the truth about Mormonism. Of course, that a good Mormon can become a God and have eternal sex with his many wives to replenish another planet would not go over too well. Thanks for sharing.
@TheBdub2012 I think your written words online will be better received when you don't subtly insult people with the term "MORmON" to insinuate "moron".
Thank you, sir for sharing this testimony. Mormons are people who are sincerely looking for spiritual fulfillment in their lives. It is tragic that so many are just like you were. They have never been told the full truth about LDS.
@LDStothecore so if anyone asks god and recieves a different answer then you it is their fault, they didn't do it with real intent. Sounds like a story I heard once about this emperor who had no clothes but no one would admit that they didn't see them because that would mean they weren't intelligent enough. If you don't feel the spirit or claim to "know" that the church is true on Sunday, then you just aren't seeing the clothes that everyone else claims to.
Why not "I'm an ex-Catholic" or "I'm an ex-Jew". If you were the adversary and wanted to stir up the hearts of God's children to fight against Him, where would you focus? You would focus on the fullness of the gospel. Did you ever ask yourself, why such a big deal over something that you believe is not true. If it really was nothing....then it would be treated as so. Ask yourself this, how do you feel inside when you post against LDS, is it goodness..or? the feeling is telling
As an ex-Jehovah's Witness, this video touched me more than any of the other ones. I can really relate to the feelings of anger that went with realizing that I had been deceived and, worse yet, I had done my part to try to convince others to be a part of a deceptive organization. It has been a surprise getting to know myself now that I've dropped all of the hateful doctrines that went with being a part of the religion. I love the life I've built since then. Congrats to you Lyndon!
You're an "engineer". That says it all. I have one question -- why does your video come up when I look up the Primary song "I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus?"
I encourage people to view Lyndon's recorded ex-communication video.
It is very illuminating as to how the Mormon cult will not tolerate people questioning church doctrine using actual facts and logic. The video is:
The Excommunication of Lyndon Lamborn
They also tried to ex-communicate LDS Anthropologist Thomas W. Murphy for publishing his findings that DNA evidence proves the Book of Mormon is a fraud when it states Indians were a tribe of Israel when they are actually of Asian ancestry.
@TheSnoopy1750 "They also tried to ex-communicate LDS Anthropologist Thomas W. Murphy for publishing his findings that DNA evidence proves the Book of Mormon is a fraud..."
Why would Murphy remain in the LBS Crutch when he knew LD$ is false?
Do you understand DNA evidence? DNA experts know the limitations of DNA testing and they have concluded that Indians are Asian in ancestry, NOT Israeli as stated in the Book of Mormon. Scientists don't guess, they need strong empirical evidence to form conclusions.
Given the BoM is 100% true, from God Himself and the basis for the Mormon "religion", either God was wrong or Joseph Smith made it up.
@LDStothecore - not everyone has what it takes to endure to the end. The Law of the 1/3rds suggests that some will, some only kind-of-will and some will quit. Onwards towards eternal perfection isn't all that some people really are willing to do because it requires effort and not quitting. It's not an easy church to live up to. The Gospel of becoming perfect, as God has commanded us to be, seems daunting even though God would give no commandment except he prepares a way for it. See Matt 5:48
@THELDSLIFE I understand all of that, except for the 1/3rds. Never heard that, but it's really not that difficult to live the church standards. Like you said, God will always provide a way for us to keep His commandments.
@LDStothecore Did you ever think why you learned how to read? Let me tell you, not to read the scriptures alone but everything and then to think for yourself. Apparently you are still struggling with the first. Good luck. Merry xmas.
@LDStothecore "This is just more proof that those that leave the church CANNOT leave it alone and move on."
No, they are just telling their story as is their right. I know you hate it when the truth comes out about your bigoted fraudulent cult, but these videos are beneficial as they warn people to be skeptical of the LDS church.
@LDStothecore I get why they can't leave the church alone. It is because they paid all that money in tithing to a religion that they believed in based on what they were told by the church. then they find out that church did not tell them the whole story. I get that. Even if you do not believe it is true that the church does not tell their members all of the facts before they are members, you should be able to understand how a person would react if they felt that. They would want to warn people.
@LDStothecore I still think that All major teachings should be taught to potential converts even those that have been discontinued and why discontinued. If you do not your church will simply continue to fuel inactivity and create anti mormons when they find out what early prophets ACTUALLY did & taught. The Mormon prophet should ask God if he really wants the church to baptize people after teaching a few simple concepts about the church. Leaving them later to find the rest on the internet.
@LDStothecore A church that has major investments in for profit corporations, believes that God commanded Polygamy; discrimination; lying to members about its history; Underwear with masonic symbols; secret handshakes to get into heaven; Men are required to wear ties at church to exercise His priesthood; God forbids bishops to have beards and restricts the number of earrings one can wear; coffee is forbidden (I could go on ad nauseum), will not lead you to Christ, only Christ's teachings will!!
@twoclose2call The principal purpose of the LDS church is to bring people to Christ. Any money the church brings in is for that purpose. Everything the church does has the same goal.
@LDStothecore I still don't think anything I mentioned and more that LDS church believes get you closer to Christ. Christ could care less if you wear a white shirt and tie; have a beard; what the color of your skin is and does not change it based on your righteousness; How many earrings you wear; He won't turn you away from Heaven for not knowing the right handshake; wearing the right clothes; drink Coffee or Wine as Jesus did. He cares about your heart not meaningless works for Celestial Reward
@twoclose2call As I stated, everything the LDS church does is to help us get closer to Christ. If you don't like it or you are not able to live the standards God has set it's not the church's fault.
@LDStothecore Fine we can agree to disagree. Interesting how you hint that I am not sincere, rather I am unable to live the standards. Not true. I lived the standards better than 99% of Mormons for years as I also was vegetarian and ate meat sparingly! I will follow Gods standards only and I will not believe a man telling me how many earrings I should wear and that I should wear a tie. I believe strongly that Christ does not care a wit about such things. He cares about your heart. Pray about it.
@twoclose2call I have prayed and I know that the LDS church is God's only church, that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, the Book of Mormon is true and that President Monson is God's chosen prophet today.
@LDStothecore That's pretty compelling stuff you're saying there. I've read horoscopes that say really interesting stuff like that. You should write them.
@instereovideos And you have perfectly demonstrated how the subjective experiential foundation of Mormonism and similar cults is without merit. The mormons challenge people to pray and ask God for truth because they do not have substantive, objective truth that can stand the scrutiny of honest investigation.
@LDStothecore Well. I have done better, I have pondered, prayed and analyzed it with my God given brain, I read the BOM, and realized, God did not command polygamy, racism, white shirts and ties, secret handshakes, allow His prophets to teach false doctrines like blood atonement and Adam is God to lead people astray. Give foolish advice to get married young, before one is ready to take care of a family; recommending couples have large families & still pay 10% tithe even if they are poor. etc etc
No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done.
If anybody wants to know what the LDS church is really about, if you are feeling that your life has gone off track, if you are all messed up and drugs, booze, gambling or sadness has got a grip on you. Feel free to go on mormon.org and chat with a missionary and find the nearest Chapel to where you live and what time they hold church service on Sundays and pass by, you dont have to get dressed up, they will be happy to meet you and talk to you, and your life will change for the better. :)
These videos are wonderful, healthy, compassionate and there is no reason to dislike them. People are speaking, as individuals, from their heart- about freedom. If you feel that they are attacking your freedom to remain a Mormon, then you're a moron as well.
@RaceyHour No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done.
Thank u for sharing! I was brought to the interest of Mormonism sadly because of a recent tragedy killing 2 Mormons in a nearby city... Never really cared what they stood for. Noe I know a little more!
@mOmmYsOLaNo956 My apologies but they way to know the truth about the church is asking God in prayer if it is good I respect what this man is saying there is nothing in Mormonism that makes a person unhappy NOTHING I do not feel suppressed I feel free very happy my family is my all my friends the people I walk by that I perhaps don't even know I know my life has a meaning and a purpose and my purpose is to help others be happy even if it means letting them go before me at the check out line
@erili29 Truth is not ascertained through fervent beliefs of warm, fuzzy feelings. Truth is based in fact; facts welcome objective analysis and critical scrutiny. Your Book of Mormon fails those measures miserably.
@Ghzx2 Not whining at all, just stating fact. Anti-Mormons are just people that can't handle God's commandments or lazy people that want to get to heaven the easy way.
@TheShirlock Really, and where does the money go. Please tell. How much does everyone get paid in the church? The Bishop, the missionaries, the teachers? Please continue, I can't wait to hear you answers.
just expressing my opinion, please dont get mad to the gays outh there. all of the ex-mormons as what i observed were gays or wanting to have samsex relationships
you might just be one of those people that want to do everything yourself and dont even listen to the holy confirmation of the spirit. even if you are no longer a mormon, you shouldn't be ranting and dwelling on it. you might have your own reasons, but its just feeding the adversary with more to say against us
INDOCTRINATION is there and it is real. Specifis religions concentrate on specific areas. Utah and mormons, Saudi Arabia and islam, countries in latin america and roman catholicism cuz of the spaniard conquerers.
Dude, just thank god that you were a mormon not a scientologist. You'd have P.I.'s following you and douchbags harassing your neighbors. LDS may be brainwashing but they are (mostly) not vengeful sociopaths.
As a "once " Mormon myself , it was good to hear your story !
Isn't it just the most amazing thing how we are born into these situations that we have to work out and disentangle ourselves from , to discover underneath it all , the reality of our existance , NOT tethered to the abomination of a fascism desguised as religion ?
God’s plan for us is simple to understand, but it takes a lifetime to follow. Following the plan of happiness is easier when we do the simple things, like reading the scriptures, going to church, praying, and serving others. Jesus Christ was the perfect example in following God's plan. It takes faith and works for us to be like Jesus, but it is worth it now and will be in eternity.
If your problem was with the church, don't let politics and church baloney take you away from Jesus Christ,, Most churches have political crap, since they are run by people who are very flawed, but the teachings and the ways are what's important...
Out of the series, this is one of my favorites. It is a very rare human being who, when presented with information contrary to their paradigm, can actually look at it objectively and critically and do the most scary and courageous thing any human being can do: think for themselves. I've always thought that people who change their minds past 30 to find themselves more open minded are probably the most rare and intelligent beings on this planet. Thank you for this post.
Anyone who is sucked in by an anti-Mormon book, like Lyndon Lamborn, is obviously not converted to what he or she believes. I've seen YouTube videos of this guy telling his story to church groups and let me just say, if you are having trouble sleeping, watch his videos, they will bore into a blissful slumber!! ;)
@shooster11 Actually, Lyndon's vids are educational and informative. Granted, they lack the entertainment factors of LDS vids which tell stories of magic rocks and a white hat, fictional "plates" that "had the appearance of gold", unrighteous people cursed with dark skin, or ancient civilizations and cities, and battle grounds, which are completely discredited through the sciences.
Truth is not always entertaining, while fiction can often be very entertaining!!
@CounterCultureLives - You write: "... LDS vids which tell stories of magic rocks and a white hat, fictional "plates" that "had the appearance of gold", unrighteous people cursed with dark skin, or ancient civilizations and cities, and battle grounds..." WOW!! You've kept up on all your anti-Mormon material too!! Man, if I were your teacher, I would put a gold star on your forehead!! :)
@shooster11 Facts fail you, substance fails you, the sciences clearly discredit your Book of Mormon, so now, you're reduced to MORmONIC ramblings and mindless rhetoric. Unable to refute the evidences wghich expose BoM & LDS for the farce that it has now been shown to be, you are reduced to personal attacks............ the tell-tale signs of an untrained mind.
Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, [even] they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. This is serious to all pretenders to godhood. If you think you are a god in embryo I have a question... Did you create the heavens and the Earth ? If you didnt God says you WLL perish. Repent and turn to the real God of the bible
I'm just on my way out of MORmONism, and regardless of whether the people in these videos have become Christians or not, I admire them for being able to break free from such a controlling cult! Any "religion" that takes over your life and pretty much stops you for thinking for yourself is not healthy!!!
Thank you for your videos and all the good they do!!!
GLAD, to hear from you Lyndon, my fine kind sir! I am so tired of looking at these Mormon videos at the top of the list. In the end, we can remember the movie Terminator and that battlefield of people vs. robots. When I look at you when you say you thought everything was going to go wrong for not being Mormon, I look at someone simply fighting the war against robots, in no insane way, but figuratively. In the end, I guess everything is insane, but I am at least happy to hear that from you!
Great, you're not a mormon, so what are you then? This campaign is flawed as it's focussed on what people aren't, and then fails to inspire others to follow Christ. Media like this doesn't do anything to forward the cause of Christianity; it simply berates the faith of others - very un-Christian. If your new-found faith is so amazing why don't we hear about it? Tell us what you are, and inspire us to glorify Jesus Christ with your new-found Christianity.
@sleepermovie23 " fails to inspire others to follow Christ." How is that a failure? Why would you assume he's Christian now? Or that the point of the videos is promote Christianity? He never said that he picked up a different faith, just that he figured out that he had been lied to.
Sad...for real it is. I just converted to the LDS church a few months ago... What about the Community of Christ? RLDS...no rules but just love & peace of Christ!
@theshockthemonkey If you're needy you can get food from the bishop's storehouse. And the Church will help you out with rent payments temporarily. The sense of community in Mormonism is unrivaled. As far as splitting families apart, that is as old as Jesus (see L:uke 14:26). But Mormon marriages and families are much more stable than average.
@theshockthemonkey That's completely false. Many members don't pay tithing and still receive welfare payments. The Church helps out with food and temporarily with rent payments, but encourages you to make it on your own. I have a couple of friends who are bishops over low-income areas. The mall doesn't come from tithing money and is expected to turn a profit. Mormons are generally financially successful.
Joe said the civil war would end with the return of Jesus Christ. People hearing Joes voice would still be alive when the lord returns. HA HA . I know the church is true though. I have a testimony !!! Another false prophet. Men on the moon and sun who dress like Quakers ? Ok that one was true. HA HA. This is a prophet for comedy central. New York and Boston rejected the joe gospel and would be destroyed . Oh ya ... that happened too. This guy and Bungham Young were crooks and liars. Bad for U
I can see why Mormonism under a little scrutiny could not fly. It is pretty embarassing when you find out the real character of these clowns who "restored the gospel" . In Jude it says the gospel was once and for all delivered unto the saints. If you buy into mormonism you are calling Heavenly Father a liar because either joe smith is right or God is right. The mormon god makes mistakes and corrects them with the latest prophet elected. No Blacks allowed. Then OOPs blacks are ok now. Ha ha ha
Why was Joseph Smith persecuted? Why was he hunted from neighborhood to neighborhood, from city to city, and from State to State, and at last suffered death? Because he received revelations from the Father, from the Son, and was ministered to by holy angels, and published to the world the direct will of the Lord concerning his children on the earth. BRIGHAM YOUNG
@scottwins2 B.S.!! SmYth was "persecuted" because he was a philandering kiddie fiddler, and a con- man who told people he could locate buried treasure by staring at magic rocks in his hat.
all these clips on iamanexmormon are people who never had a testimonie to begin with,i watched them all and with all of them you can notice by what they say, that they never had a testimonie through the Holy spirit. I do have a testimonie( since 22 years, being a convert to the church),and although i am far from being perfect,i can Honestly say: THE LDS CHURCH IS TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@mitsupitsu44 Just another feeble minded MOrMONic attempt to excuse away the discrepancies of BoM, the dubious character of Joseph SmYth, and defend the L.ies, D.eceit, and S.idestepping of LDS. What qualifies you MORmONS to stand in such arrogant judgement of people you don't even know?? The fact that you have a testiphony and the fact that you believe that truth is ascertained through "burnings in the bosom" only serve to expose your foolishness and lack of critical thinking skills.
@kornelious1@geezmaynard Are u both mormons, LDS, FLDS, or the Jesus crist for the latter days saints? Some people told me if u put them in a bag they're all the same, same religion, same type of brain wash, all the old mens marry young girls with 15 years old, most of them are polygamist. Tell me the truth, don't make me believe something that's not true. Do you know the story of David Koresh? They all die because the fanatism... Just wait and you will gona see the mormons in the same way
@mariebk1 The FLDS are in no way affiliated with the LDS church.. FLDS beleive in the book of mormon and the doctrine of the church but have created their own version of the church just like the RLDS "reorganized church of jesus christ of latter day saints" just like the RLDS.. they will fail.. the LDS church "church of jesus christ of latter day saints" will never fail.. it is christs restored church on earth.. You will know them by their frutis.. neither flds rlds have good fruit..
blah blah blah, of course your going to feel better if you stop affiliating yourself with rules and commandments you clown. Everybody feels happier when high school is over and they dont have to follow the rules anymore, its the same with the Church. Unfortunately for you you cant stop following the rules of God. Im sorry but I see right through this
@knuckleheadz9 Did you seriously just compare the rules at school to the rules that attempt to govern your ENTIRE life, including your thoughts and feelings? You don't see through anything. You see as far as your misguided beliefs allow you to see and that is why you *can't* see why this man's revelation is so important to him.
@knuckleheadz9 The last desperate refrain of a mind-numbed Mobot!!
Facts fail, substance fails, the sciences clearly discredit The Book of Mormon,..... so now, let's whip out the magical, mystical threats of eternal damnation!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!
I believe that this man has serious issues. why did he go on his mission if he had so much problem with understanding the teachings! there are more serious issues than to what he just mention... thats problem when people like him leave the church, they find ways to attack the church including their upbringing from their parents because they have no understanding at all. this is the same with other churches as well. people do leave their church because they fail hoonour the principles
It wasn't that hard leaving the church, I converted when I was 14 after they pounced on me when my mother died; I went to seminary and even filled out my papers for a mission. I found out I was going to England and felt pretty happy about that, but I woke up. I realized no prophet would send another man on a mission and sleep with his wife, and I realized if there was a God he would stop such nonsense from being published.
Many will need hope and strength, leaving God behind is hard! and choosing to not believe in anything is even harder! what's sad is, while ex-mormons are doing there best to be a person of great strength, and of great knowledge, you've already have lost your hope, you've already have lost what is real, by following you HEAD. To turn in the wrong direction, IN hopes of Finding the strength, peace, and happiness that is needed in every human. because it was hard, you have forgoten what was needed.
Mormons that troll these videos & make negative comments are finally at that first stage of waking up. Many of them are watching these videos because they are having those initial questions that eventually lead them to freedom. Its simply a built-in reaction to scoff at what you are afraid might be true. Reminds me of how people act when they see building 7 fall and they come up with every attack & theory to justify why it couldn't of been a demolition. Waking up is hard to do but worth it.
i 'm a mormon. and as i watched your video i wondered what was the real truth he found? i don't know why you were excommunicated but i'm not gonna judge you. i don't like what others say about what i believe in but hopefully one day i'll come to understand everything. i'm finally entering adult life and i don't want to say i was betrayed after 45 years of my life. hopefully i will find that book and see what i feel. good luck in life. you're video actually made me stop and wonder. mahalos!
@teinelovely2010 malo suga. many that share your faith would tell you not to wonder. the church teaches of joseph and his search for the truth and should be open to its members doing the same. you seem very open minded. read both sides of the argument and use critical thinking. you will be shocked to find out that much of what the "antis" say are actually true and even more shocked at the excuses given by the church to justify them. see for yourself. knowledge is at your fingertips. tofa soifua.
@tamasandy malo :) faafetai mo lou tali lelei. usually i get bashed at for actually being one. didn't know at how many "antis" there were. never really faced a great mass of them. living in hawaii and in a community that are majority mormons i was never faced with some. but yes, i'll be looking at both sides. manuia lou olaga. tofa soifua.
In the end it does not matter if you are a mormon, a baptist, a muslim, even an exmormon, etc. In the end, what will matter, is if you choose to be a Saint.
@IamExExmormon Thanks. This a long story. My family are Mormons and they singled me out of their circle and abused me because when I was a teenager I refused to be mormon so they threw me out. They wanted me to act "Perfect" and stay away from non mormons and to stay away from rock music because its the "devils" music and to not study the occult because I find the occult to be fascinating and they called me a "devil worshipper" . well anyway, I live someplace else and Iam happy :)

Oh well.
ImLDSRU2 1 week ago
@ImLDSRU2 Brainwashing, man. It's not easy to fight when you're raised to trust a religion and how to deal with and subdue doubts. It can be especially difficult if you're born into it and you grow up thinking it's totally normal. By the time you're old enough to look at it analytically, it's terrifying to think that you might have to deny everything you've ever been taught.

Neal A. Maxwell - “Those who believe for a while make only a brief tour in the kingdom, though thereafter they often feel qualified to inform those who know even less about the Church but the fact is they were really only tourists not natives who really knew the kingdoms countryside.”

People leave because they have studied more deeply and more intensly than they had ever palnned on and found truth.
upsidedown1011 1 week ago
@velcro055 and to counter Neal Maxwell they become INFORMED natives that really do know the kingdom's countryside.....as well as it's history and its doctrine from the mouth of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young who married other men's wives and fathered children with them while they were still married to other men. That's adultery and it is preached agianst in D&C 132:61 for those who are not limiting themselves to a brief tour and want to know the countryside.
upsidedown1011 1 week ago
@velcro055 Maxwell was a spinmaster. He was very very talented when it came to using beautiful language to fit a square peg into a round hole. The church goes so far out of its way to warn against opposing opinions and that doesn't strike me as conducive to a healthy decision-making process. Shouldn't you examine all the evidence when trying to find the truth? Especially with something so important as your eternal welfare?

Why not "I'm an ex-Catholic" or "I'm an ex-Jew". If you were the adversary and wanted to stir up the hearts of God's children to fight against Him, where would you focus? You would focus on the fullness of the gospel. Did you ever ask yourself, why such a big deal over something that you believe is not true. If it really was nothing....then it would be treated as so. Ask yourself this, how do you feel inside when you post against LDS, is it goodness..or? the feeling is telling

TheSnoopy1750 2 months ago

Tell us what you are, and inspire us to glorify Jesus Christ with your new-found Christianity.
sleepermovie23 5 months ago

PoderdelChino 5 months ago

Bad for U
blutowpi 5 months ago

BRIGHAM YOUNG
scottwins2 6 months ago
@scottwins2 B.S.!! SmYth was "persecuted" because he was a philandering kiddie fiddler, and a con- man who told people he could locate buried treasure by staring at magic rocks in his hat.

watch yourself attacking the only true church on earth, i wonder why people like to attack the church of Jesus Christ, maybe one day i will find out

all these clips on iamanexmormon are people who never had a testimonie to begin with,i watched them all and with all of them you can notice by what they say, that they never had a testimonie through the Holy spirit.

@kornelious1 @geezmaynard Are u both mormons, LDS, FLDS, or the Jesus crist for the latter days saints? Some people told me if u put them in a bag they're all the same, same religion, same type of brain wash, all the old mens marry young girls with 15 years old, most of them are polygamist. Tell me the truth, don't make me believe something that's not true. Do you know the story of David Koresh? They all die because the fanatism... Just wait and you will gona see the mormons in the same way
mariebk1 6 months ago

My best friends/sisters whole family is mormon. I love them more than the world, but their church is not right for me, and that's okay. :)

To turn in the wrong direction, IN hopes of Finding the strength, peace, and happiness that is needed in every human. because it was hard, you have forgoten what was needed.

lol mormons lol fucking wake up
J450 7 months ago
Mormons that troll these videos & make negative comments are finally at that first stage of waking up. Many of them are watching these videos because they are having those initial questions that eventually lead them to freedom. Its simply a built-in reaction to scoff at what you are afraid might be true. Reminds me of how people act when they see building 7 fall and they come up with every attack & theory to justify why it couldn't of been a demolition. Waking up is hard to do but worth it.

i 'm a mormon. and as i watched your video i wondered what was the real truth he found? i don't know why you were excommunicated but i'm not gonna judge you. i don't like what others say about what i believe in but hopefully one day i'll come to understand everything. i'm finally entering adult life and i don't want to say i was betrayed after 45 years of my life. hopefully i will find that book and see what i feel. good luck in life. you're video actually made me stop and wonder. mahalos!
teinelovely2010 8 months ago
