I still roleplay. Harry Potter. Star Trek. Celebrity. Original. Basically whatever anyone else wants to do. It's either for the benefit of me wanting to write, or the benefit of their fandom and a shared love of mine. However, I only ever do one on one roleplay back and forth over IM. It's much easier and much more entertaining. At least imo. =)

I never really got into RP outside of MMOs like my friends did. In fact, I think it's because of my friends that I steered clear of non-gaming RP... They were immature and ruined it for me.

I do however read and write fanfiction! It's basically the same thing, but RPing by yourself... as multiple characters.

Sometimes I think writing is a socially acceptable form of schizophrenia.

Yeah roleplay can be an interesting way to test your writing skills, but mostly teenagers use it to live out sexually frustrated fantasies about their favourite fictional characters.

Which is a pain. No one uses it as the useful lesson in character development it is.

You're not the only one. When I was young I used to rpg Buffy, Roswell, Angel. I wrote fanfiction AND I made fanvideos for Buffy, Queer as Folk and Firefly.
