Vicki Butler-Henderson, Tiff Needell and Adrian Simpson all moved to Fifth Gear in 2002(aired in Channel 5) with coverage of the Birmingham Motorshow, to reincarnate the cancelled 1977-2001 Top Gear, which was cancelled due to low ratings.BBC refused, however, to give Channel 5 the rights to the name.

But with the 2002 reincarnation of Top Gear with Clarkson, ratings soon jumped and now surpasses Fifth Gear, even today.

Having driven 'that' actual G4 many miles I can tell you why she smiled like she did at the end! She really did want to take it home. Soooo underated.

The car that never dates, has more curves than Marilyn Monroe.

If I had been running DARE I would just have kept building this car... there is and always will be a market for such a gorgeous looking vehicle. Next year it will be 50 years since it was launched. Incredible!

@4gerad Owning a DARE I can concur. Look up DARE UK on Google, it should be the second result - I'm pretty sure production is still happening. That said, my family's car is from 2003.
