You know, I liked the A3 at first, but after re-examining the bullpup system, I think the metal RAS sort of destroys the ingenuity of the AUG in a way. I'm seeing now that the A1 and A2 was designed very intelligently in that the entire weapon's unbalanced to the rear, and that's actually a great thing since by putting more weight on your shoulder, it allows you to support the rifle easier while you use your left hand to reload.
the thing i dont like about this gun is it's not a true A3. it's more like an A2 with a rial system. If you look at pics of the real A3 there is no "carry handle" (if you can call the space that) and idk, the real one seems more lower profile.
However the JG AUG's are outstanding. I've owned all 3 major brands of AUGs and the JG is by far the best one.
@diatras it shouldn't really matter, IMO it is much easier to say oggg rather than A-U-G. Besides, for example, FAMAS is an acronym as well and I've never heard it referred to as F-A-M-A-S. Oh well i guess. To each their own :)
@diatras Do you refer to the FAMAS as the F.A.M.A.S? because both rifles use abbreviations. Google the Famas it actually stands for something, as well as the AUG if you do refe to the FAMAS in letter form I apologize for wasting your time

@diatras it shouldn't really matter, IMO it is much easier to say oggg rather than A-U-G. Besides, for example, FAMAS is an acronym as well and I've never heard it referred to as F-A-M-A-S. Oh well i guess. To each their own :)

@diatras Do you refer to the FAMAS as the F.A.M.A.S? because both rifles use abbreviations. Google the Famas it actually stands for something, as well as the AUG if you do refe to the FAMAS in letter form I apologize for wasting your time

@ItsKittyPunter Sorry mate but diatras is correct it is an A-U-G. Only Americans call the thing an Aug. To us Euro types we find the Aug thing very silly. It sounds like the guy has forgotten what he is saying. But that is the grate thing about English. It is all things to all men and no one gives a fuck just as long as you can be understood. So you keep calling it an Aug and we’ll keep laughing mate and the retards that like to lecture others on there use of English will keep bleating on. :-)

Gee, even the AUG A1 and A2 already have some heft. But add +3 and I guess he is right. I do own the A2 variant which is really nice, but the A3 does look good and balanced.

@AFSKID you're the degenerate here. The point of an acronym is to make something EASIER and FASTER to say. So rather than say, for example, Fusil d'Assaut de la Manufacture d'Armes de Saint-Étienne, we say 'famas'. We pronounce it as a word because it IS pronounceable as a word, saying 'famas' is EASIER and FASTER than saying 'F-A-M-A-S'. Acronyms like U.S.A, U.K. and U.S.S.R. are NOT pronounceable as words, so we say 'U-K', because its faster and easier than saying 'United Kingdom'.
