Truly AWESOME video's and I'm gonna use all your stuff to (hopefully ) learn from, might take me 10 year's ,pray for me! .. lol @ 12:05! how does Jimmy page do it?! j/k bro! keep in touch!-
@1111Paiste No, but fills that start with a pick-up note he started with his left. His triplets played hand to foot (where the bass drum is 'a' in '1 & a'), led with his left hand. A lot of folks thought that that meant he led all fills with his left.
"so you can do any kind of combination" lol, sure...you can, i cant haha. this was great. you do have a lot of videos, as you said, but theyre all worth a watch! :)
You're amazing. And your videos are a great help. I can play practically everything of Jimmy Pages as I'm a guitarist. But I've always wanted to learn Bonham's stuff and this stuff is great! Cheers man.
As I'm sure you know theres also the lightning fast rolls around the kit XD Only reason I mention it is because you lead with your left, and most drummers probably do not realize that if you do lead with your left you come closer to the original Bonham sound on those rolls because the left hand is already right on top of the snare; its as if he starts it off with a few ghost notes while he is bringing his right hand around to the drum. So, he has about a one second space on most drummers.
The vistalites sound mighty. I too look forward to your subscription popping up. Nothing like a twenty minute rant/demo about Zep drums and/or Paistes. I'd like to see your take on the Gallows' Pole drums, if you happen to enjoy that song. There are some weird turnarounds in that tune which I'm sure you could debunk. Keep up the good work!
These are great tutorials! Thanks for posting. :)

You've got the Bonham touch, I love it. It's also nice to see how his fills/licks look like in real time.

Did Bonham start all his fills with his left hand?

Another Great drum song is How Many More Times. Especially the "Steal Away" part of the song.

I am thoroughly jealous you get to play that set.

@ConorVanek Don't be they're not all that great!
I'm going send you a video where I am playing the alternating LR RL pattern LRBBRLLRBBRLLRBBRLLRBB.
What you do is harder to play I believe, and I think you'll pick this up very quickly.

why do you think bonham bothered to double the pedal while he was doing triplets w the toms; turning them into quads?
