I love the fact that the haiku from the original novel is used at the beginning. Since the film is in no way based on it (the novel takes place after OHMSS, and Blofeld dies after Bond strangles him in his own suicide garden) the producers decided that it had no meaning in the film.

@TheCryoScales OHMSS was supposed to be the second film actually, especially since Ian Fleming wrote it specifically for Sean Connery, with a cameo by Ursula Andress ("What a beautiful tan" as Irma put it). FRWL being the second film also created a huge continuity error, especially since the reason for Bond's gun change was in this book.

You Only Live Twice is another great Bond movie. Sean Connery, Akiko Wakabayashi, Mie Hama were amazing.

The soundtrack was awesome (Nancy Sinatra) - one of the best Bond themes ever made.

Amazing...EXCELLENT work! I saw "YOLT" in July 1967...41 years ago! This trailer gives it an entirely new, fresh look...makes me want to see it again!
