  • Hey Bill. I have a problem where when I add a video file (.avi) it says 'the selected file is not of the required type'. I have researched the problem but cant find an answer. Thanks!

  • @LifezMysteries When you see that message, it usually means the avi file is not a real avi file, but more likely a divx or xvid file in a avi wrapper. This is typical of some downloaded videos and some pvr captured videos. The only solution is to use real avi files.

  • What a star you are! Beautifully clear and concise, unlike so many other supposed tutorial videos. Top marks that man!

  • Will it work with a cd?

  • @sarbusteaua DVD Architect can burn DVDs and blue-ray. Not CDs.

  • @guerillabill Thank You!!

  • I'm having trouble getting my rendered video to come into the DVD architect with the chapters that I've already put into place. The video comes over and I can finally import it into the architect but it is only one chapter. I've encoded it with MPEG2 for DVD architect but nothing. I also put chapter markers into it from architect but they don't seem to work either. Shouldn't the markers come over during the rendering?

  • @Dieseljcky When you use 'render as', be sure to put a check in 'save project markers in media file'.

  • how to add chapter marker s

  • @The123456crazy To create a chapter marker in Sony Vegas, place mouse pointer on timeline where you want the marker, and press the 'm' key on the keyboard.

  • can this program make a D.v.d with a .iso file

  • HI Bill - Love the tips...thanks. I'm creating a DVD with 7 chapters. Click on any of the buttons and viewing starts from that point. Great. What I want to happen though is for play to stop at the end of that scene and to return to the scene selection menu. At present it just plays to the end of the movie. Is what I want this possible? Tried a bunch of different settings but nothing seems to get me there. Thanks - Martin

  • @wrongsideof40 To create a return to menu action at the end of a scene, each scene on the DVD needs to be a separate video file, and then you use the 'end action' in the menu button to set each video file to return to the menu instead of playing the next video.

  • @guerillabill Thanks for the info. Now that I've rendered out the whole movie I'll leave as-is but will use this technique next time. Maybe they'll make it an easy menu option next time around. Thanks again

  • Hi Bill, I recently upgraded from SV studio 10 to SV pro 11 and there is a difference on how to send a project to dvd architect, on studio you have the make movie button and then it asks you if u want to send to dvd arch, in vegas pro 11 it doesn't work that way, please how do I send my SV pro 11 finished projects to dvd architect? Thanks.

  • @jloza98 In Sony Movie Studio 11, use 'render as', and choose the 'NTSC DVD' template.

  • Is it possible to add music so that it plays over several menus, let's say that I go from the first menu to the scene selection and the music should still be playing, is that possible?

  • @MrLoullers Each menu will have its own background music. You can use the same song on each menu, but it will start new when the menu is visited. On my DVD, I use background music that seamlessly loops, which means you really don't notice it restarting when you jump to a new menu page on the DVD.

  • How do you do that, seamlessly looping?

  • @MrLoullers You either use music loops which you can purchase or find on the internet, or you edit your music clip so that when it ends there is no gap or space between the end and the beginning. I usually just loop for short music clips that are created to loop. In DVD Architect, you set the end action of the music clip to loop.

  • Thanks!

  • @guerillabill

is there anyway to just add a play buttton, and then put on a disk so it is compatable with a dvd player ect?

  • @mkgrandninja Yes, you can create an instant play DVD with DVD Architect. To see how to do it, view my YouTube video 'DVD Architect - creating a instant play DVD'

  • @guerillabill k is there a trial for dvd architect cause i downloaded 4.0 about 10 mins ago and it says i need a serial but i dont wanna spend any money on this cause my movie budget is tight at only £200 max for every thing, the props are gonna cost me around £50 the costumes are gonna be arounds £100-150 the actors are not a prob though nor is location, and i want to hopefully put it on a dvd for FREE so plz help!

  • @mkgrandninja DVD Architect is included free with Sony Movie Studio Platinum 10, and a free trial is available at the Sony web site.

  • Is it possible to make a small clip with sony vegas to use it as menu? I tried to do it but could not do it, if there is a way I would like to know how. Thanks.

  • @jloza98 You can use video as a menu background. The menu itself needs to be buttons created in DVD Architect. Also, see my YouTube video, 'Creating buttons and backgrounds in DVD Architect - Sony Vegas & Sony Movie Studio'

  • Just got some really nice "loop" videos , Most about 10 to 15 secs long . Got any ideas how to make these run continuesly in DVD architect ? For instance.... you insert the DVD .... but do not press play or select a scene just yet because you go to make a coffee etc and it still plays while you are away with the "loop" ( and audio ) running forever till you get back and make your selection. Understandable if this is not a feature given .... but just a thought Bill.

  • @evsynator After you choose the background video for the menu, on the "menu page properties' menu, choose 'end action', and in the 'command' field, choose 'loop'.

This will cause the video background to loop continually until a menu button is pressed.

  • @guerillabill .... excellent ...... thanks Bill.

  • @123shabreesh It is very likely that the device you used to record the avi files actually creates either divx or xvid files and puts an avi extension on them. They are not avi files, and when DVD Architect tries to open the files using the avi codec, it is unable to and produces the message you see.

To resolve the problem, convert the problem files into a valid format. Either true avi, wmv, mp4, mov

  • how can i make chapters if i use Sony Vegas Pro 9.0?It seems i can't add markers with this app, it requires Movie Studio.

  • @Theokondak In Sony Vegas Pro, to add chapter markers, put your mouse on the timeline where you want to add the chapter marker, and press the 'M' key on your keyboard. Then enter the chapter name in the chapter marker box. You can add as many chapter markers to the timeline as you like.

  • @guerillabill Ok, another question, Architect takes the marker info from a .veg file or from ex .mpg file?In other words, do i have to rerender the footage with the markers, or i have to just resave the .veg file with the markers on?

  • @Theokondak The markers are in the rendered file. If you don't want to re-render, you can add chapter markers in DVD Architect.

  • i keep trying to open a new project with a .avi file and it wont let me....

  • @Tussla Not sure what you mean by 'it won't let me', but some avi files are not really avi, especially avi files from PVRs, downloads, and video games. These are often divx, xvid, or mpeg4 in avi wrappers. When the program tries to use the avi codec, it won't work as the files are not really avi.

  • thnx this is exactly what im looking for

  • What dvd is better for burning movies between dvd-r and dvd+r? Thanks.

  • @jloza98 Both will work, but I prefer DVD-R

  • how can i bring my video into the theme of menu to make it better and moving and animated...

  • @mcbandija See how to bring your own animated backgrounds onto the menu at 2:00 in the above video.

  • what track did you use? where can i get it?

  • @guitarist97 the motion background in that video is free, from Sony. Search google for 'heaven in motion' to find it.

  • @guerillabill thanks!

  • Very good video!!!

  • Very good video!!!

  • Ha digady

  • Can someone help me? Im making a DVD highlights video for a kids camp, and I want to know how to make it so it plays all the chapters together without stopping after each "day". I want day 1 to play ALL the chapters and every other day just to play that individual chapter. so Day 1 is play all, and all the rest is just single chapters. thank you

  • I've just been busy for hours looking how Vegas Studio and DVD Architect works. And yes, a few hours later, I thought of looking at youtube and there I found this video. Thank you very much.

  • I love Bill's videos, this guy is AWESOME!

  • how can I make a DVD menu for 2or3 DVD movies on 1 DVD?

  • @geochetnik You can create as many menus and buttons as you like. But you can only get 70 minutes of video on a single sided DVD, so you won't get many movies on a DVD.

  • @guerillabill

I do what you did and the I burn it. After it is done burning it says it is done without errors. But when I play it it says that there is nothing on the disc. It is BLANK

    Help Please?

  • @TheVijayfan1010 Sounds like you may have used DVD-R/W blank disk.

  • @guerillabill

    I do use a DVD-R/W

  • @TheVijayfan1010 DVD R/W discs need to finalized before they will work in a DVD player. For best results, use DVD-R disks in DVD Architect.

  • @guerillabill

    Oh ok

    Thx alot!

  • @guerillabill

    Oh.. Ok Thx alot

  • Thanks Bill

So would that also stop it from publishing it to dvd or harddrive ?

  • @Hail242 The only way to know for sure is to render the video and check the results.

  • Hey Bill once I start making a menu dvd about half way thru videos start to disappear but the audio for them stays any ideas?

  • @Hail242 If the video is in mp4/mov format, it could be a problem with the latest itunes/quicktime update. Or you computer could just be running out of memory when trying to a real time preview.

  • this really help but there's one more thing i need to know.

how do you make a batton that goes back to the main menu from the scene selection pages?

  • @ThomastheE2engine Create a button. Then use the button tool menu to select a destination for the button. For destination, choose 'menu 1' or whatever you have named the main menu or the menu you want to go to.

  • @guerillabill thank you very much :)

  • I want to make a dvd for a friend while he's in the hospital. How would a group videos like tv shows together.

A button for each show that then takes you to a selection of each episode?

  • @Resiakkk You can create sub-menus for each menu button. But since you can only get 80 minutes on a single sided DVD disk, I don't think you'd get many TV shows on the DVD.

  • Bill, my dvd menu & scene/chapter selecion boxes are numbered e.g 1 DVD menu. 2 scene chapter etc. How do I remove the numbers? thanks

  • @007Justrelax The number just tell you the sequence they will appear if you use them in DVD architect. The numbers won't actually show up on the menu names.

  • Thanks a lot for this clip. It really helps.

  • Before I start editing anything I need to make sure on this... Will DVD Architect work with Sony Vegas 7? I Googled it but found a bunch of junk that didn't answer my question. Thanks!

  • @anklepantsmagazine Yes, DVD Architect will work with Sony Vegas 7. Keep in mind that Sony Vegas 7 is 6 years out of date, and won't edit or render HD video.

  • May I ask you a question... How much does this program takes to burn a DVD approximately? I have Ulead DVD Workshop 2.0, and it's a great software, but it takes too long (up to 3 or 4 hours) to convert the videos and burn the DVD.

  • @Ton2a If the video has been rendered to mpeg2, it usually takes about 8 minutes to burn a 90 minute DVD.

But if the video has to be converted from some other format to mpeg2, it will take much longer - depending on how fast your computer is, how much ram it has, and how much video has to be converted.

  • @guerillabill Thanks for your answer. Let me tell you my situation: I am transfering all my VHS home videos to my computer in mpeg2 format; they're usually up to 90 minutes of length. I want to keep them on DVD, with menues and all that. When I press "burn", it takes like 3 hours to render the video, but only a few minutes to burn it to a DVD (I actually burn it to an ISO image)...

  • @guerillabill ... So why does the rendering take so long if the original video is in mpeg2? Is it because of the old software that I'm using or because of my computer? Thank you so much for your attention!

  • @Ton2a The render usually takes long because the video file, even if it is in mpeg2 often has to rerendered to a different bitrate of mpeg2.

  • @guerillabill Thank you!

  • I spent like four hours trying to do that by myself. LOL After watching your video it took me only six minutes. Thank You!!! :D

  • Hey Bill, just a quick question. Do I need to seperatly render each video in Vegas Movie Studio? Or could I just put all of the clips together in one project file (vegas) then open the .vf file in architect?

  • @darkjoe31 I put all the clips together in Sony Vegas, add a chapter title and chapter marker at each clip, then render the video.

Then I import the rendered file into DVD architect, add the DVD menu, and burn the DVD.

  • @guerillabill Ah ok. Thanks for the help!

  • THX MAN! But, let's say if I want to make DVDs for a TV Show (which i want to), should I choose "Menu Based"? :)

  • Is it ok to delete past renderings of a time line to free up hard drive space. I have the final time line I want, and found I need to delete some of the previous renderings that got me to this point. Why did I use some much space? I'm learning, lol..

  • @Garbear80 If you render using the same file name, it will overwrite the previous version. This is the best way to delete files no longer needed.

  • Hello Bill, I have been transferring 8mm reel tapes to dvd with no problems, until now. After burning completes and I play it in the DVD player, the video is not smooth, it seems to jump as a strobe type effect. Looking at the captured clips, this does not happen. can you help me with this issue? the video is aprox 1:28 long.

  • Did you add the chapter markers in sony vegas before you put it in DVD Architect or did you do it in DVD Architect?

  • @SafetyCop09 I added the chapter markers in Sony Vegas before I rendered and imported the video into DVD Architect. But you can add chapter markers in DVD Architect if you choose to.

  • I think it is about time I look into the program. I have to admit that I can't stand programs that promise Ice cream dreams and give you sour milk.

I know that the GUI's on these programs are an afterthought. However, Just like on *nix system, the output is more useful then eye candy.

Thanks for the good video overview.

  • Are you not able to output Video TS files in Sony DVD architect?

BTW, How Buggy is the program and does it refuse output allot. I sick of dealing with the windows DVD maker. And TMPeG Inc DVD software is Just a pain to use compared to the Killer GUI of some programs. I still cant Figure out PEE-KNUCKle Movie Studio DVD composer. I have been with it since Ver 8! Looks like Correl uses the same thing to.

  • @imickey503 DVD Architect does create vob and ts files. It is extremely stable, never had a crash, and I've created many DVDs with it.

  • When I try to add a movie in the menu, it says it took up 1.6 gigs of the DVD space for a 20 minute clip, but the original file size is only 100mb. Is there a way to fix that?

  • @headwing45 Sounds like you imported a div or xvid video clip. These are highly compressed video formats that must be reconstructed in DVD Architect in order to convert them to mpeg2 for the DVD.

The solution is to not use divx or xvid video clips. Or to convert them into mpeg4 or avi before importing into video editing or dvd authoring programs.

  • I see, thanks ill look into it

  • I hate this program, it doesn't support AVI...

  • @mike223tosis DVD Architect works well with avi files. In fact, AVI usually produces the best results.

You are likely trying to use a file that has a avi extension, but is really a divx or xvid or mp4 or mov file in a avi wrapper.

When DVD architect tries to open those files using the avi codec, it can't - because the files are not avi, they are something else.

Use gspot appliance (google it), to see what your avi files really are. Then convert them to their actual filetype before import

  • very well done....fast, explanatory

  • How do you create an ISO instead of DVD? Every time I use DVD Architect, I have to burn out and create a real hardcopy DVD, and then use some other program to create an ISO from that hardcopy DVD. Its slow, and wasteful of DVDs, because often I don't get things right the first time around. I'd rather mount the ISO image with Alcohol and play it and make sure everything works A-OK first.

  • @ANARCHYdashTVdotCOM Why not just use the 'preview' button in DVD Architect to test your project before burning?

In any case, you can create an iso image by choosing 'ISO Image Writer' as the output device on the final burn DVD screen.

  • - When you say you can change placement of the text does that mean you can drag and drop to put text anywhere on the menu?

    - Can you also have just a simple PLAY button, as well as buttons for additional menus (Chapters, Extras, etc. - each on their own menu page)?

    - I have never used this program before so I have to ask. I apologize if you've already answered these questions (if you did so in another video can you tell me which one so I can check it out?). Thanks for your time, sir!

  • @anklepantsmagazine Yes, you can place text anywhere on the menu screen. And yes you can add buttons anywhere on the screen and assign actions to those buttons like play, or go to next menu, or go to specific scene, or go to another video clip.

See more in my YouTube video 'Creating buttons and backgrounds in DVD Architect - Sony Vegas & Sony Movie Studio '

  • @guerillabill Thank you so much for your quick answer to my long questions! That is exactly what I needed to know. Looks like I can stick with Vegas now! Thanks again!

  • Hi.

First of all I'd like to thank you. Your videos have been very, very usefull.

I learned a lot watching them.

But now I'm having a problem and would like to ask your help:

I did a video in Sony Vegas and rendered it. I got a 2,27GB MPEG file.

Now when I import it to DVD Architet it says the disc space used is 4,8GB!!

    What am I doing wrong?

I tryied to burn to a DVD, but it keeps saying the project is to large.

    Can you please help me?

    Thank you so much

  • @paganiniviolin If you render to mpeg from Sony Vegas, render to mpeg2. Make sure the DVD disk is a DVD-R or DVD+R, and not a DVD-R/W.

Even if the file is larger than 4.8 gig, DVD Architect can optimize the file to fit it on the disk.

  • Thank you very, very much! :D

  • @JosephHDVideos thats what i wrekon as well :D

  • had to watch your video about 3 times but i got it now ( i,m slow lol ) thank you very much for the video very well explained.

  • Hi,

    Nice video ...

    I had two questions,

    1) Can you make animated DVD menu in this program?

    2) Can you import a short video clip in the DVD menu?

  • @kaRanRoyaLjaNissaRy You can import a video background to use on the menu. Almost any format of video can be used except flash.

  • @guerillabill,

Okks .... Thats nice.. Thats what i wanted

Thanks fr your reply ... :)

  • how do I add Various Video Files... .... can I add more video files if I used Single Video...I recorded a lot of Videos using my Sony Cam..and I would like to set all movies into ONE Main MOVIE

  • @vigorosoPIMPJr You can add video files to you DVD project at any time. Just choose 'insert' from the top menu, and choose 'media'. Then choose the video file(s) you want to add.

When you add video files, they immediately show up on your menu as buttons, which you can move, modify, and customize.

  • @guerillabill Thank you so much

  • Your videos are awesome, thanks to you I'm able to get up to speed and meet a deadline I was sure I would miss by a long shot!

I've watched many of your tutorials, awesome!

  • Hi Bill

Thank you for the great video on menus. Why dosn't Sony get you to do their instructions? Sony's products are really good but their support is rubbish.

Thanks again - 2 minutes with your video saved me losing more hair after hours of wrestling with the inadequate and misleading Sony instructions.

  • very condensed and clear info. Thanks a lot!

  • Great video, but is there a way of making a main menu right at the start of the film with like, Play Movie, Scene Selection, can you make a menu like that?

  • @Xbox360Videos4U Yes, you can easily create a main menu and have sub menus. See my other 'DVD Architect' videos on YouTube and on my site to learn how to do that.

  • what size and resolution would you use to make a DVD backround or template in Photoshop??

  • @Genegenedtb 720 X 480 for NTSC DV. 1280 X 720 for HDV widescreen.

Photoshop and Photoshop Elements have templates for all these. To find them, choose 'new', choose 'file & video' preset, then choose the preset to match your DVD - either NTSC DV, or HDV.

  • @guerillabill can you download menus of the internet?

E.G. i have alien v predator, could i download the menu for it?

    Thanks

  • @mixmaster116 You can download the menu image, and use it as the menu background image in DVD Architect. Then you'd have to add the buttons to make them active.

  • @guerillabill ok then thanks

  • One of the best video tutorials on this subject. there's hardly anyone on YouTube or Online that has done a decent video tutorial on how to use Sony DVD Architech Pro. I just tought myself how to do this last night, and wanted to see if anyone had any videos on how to do this sort of thing. No, there's not too many video tutorials on this particular subject, so I will do one too, Awesome Video Tutorial, thanx for sharing.

  • Hi my dvd architect doesnt accept Avi files What can I do? I have the latest vesion but it doesnt work.. What can i do?

  • @DEZASTRE666 DVD Architect works quite well with avi files. But it won't work with other files that are in avi wrappers.

This means the files are not really avi, but have the avi extension.

Some photo cameras, video games, and analog video capture devices store divx and xvid video as avi, when it really isn't.

That's most likely the problem you are seeing.

  • @guerillabill Oh I see, Thanks for telling me. I didn't know that.

Is there any way that I can make it work?

  • @DEZASTRE666 If you can find the correct video codec for the file, it can be used in DVD Architect.

Try using the free Gspot appliance to determine the codec used in the video. Find gspot appliance with the google search.

  • is dvd architect some kind of program 2 burn stuff on cd/dvd

  • @raider2190 DVD Architect is the DVD Authoring software that is included with Sony Vegas Pro and Sony Vegas Movie Studio.

You use it to build menu driven DVDs

  • do you have to use avi, files or cant u use sony vegas base file?

  • @farisjoomun You can use any video file type. But if you edited in Sony Vegas, you use 'render as' to render the project to either avi or mpeg2, then import that into DVD Architect.

  • So are the chapter markers added prior to sending the video to DVD Architect (in Vegas), or are they added in DVD Architect?

  • @neckbreakerb You can add the chapter markers in Movie Studio (which is the easiest way), or you can add them in DVD Architect.

In each case, just put your mouse pointer on the video timeline at the point you want to add a chapter marker, and press 'M'

  • I can't figure this out at all! I've made quite a few dvds with no problem, but single short films on each dvd. Now I'm trying to put them all on one dvd and it won't let me. Every time I open one or drag it, it says "Do you want to save (last file?)" It's like it's only letting me do one at a time. Can't figure out why. I set it to menu based and not single movie.

  • @sonne5 When bringing media clips into a project, don't use 'file, open'. That will try to open a new project.

Instead use 'insert', 'media', then choose the file.

As soon as you drag it onto the menu, it will automatically create a button for it.

  • I tried to do what you recommended on your video. My video file is mpeg (that is how it was rendered by Sony vegas). When I select the insert menu selection, it does bring up all the chapters by link. The problem I am having is that it doesn't add all the buttons with each chapter as yours does in this video. How can I add a button and link it.

  • @mrod2868 You can add a button by choosing insert, then choosing 'blank button'.

Then you can link that button to any chapter marker on the DVD timeline. You can also add new chapter markers on the DVD timeline by putting your mouse where you want the chapter, and pressing the M key. Then click the button on the menu, choose 'destination', and set the chapter destination.

  • Thanks Bill...you just saved me a TON of time!

  • Thank you. Very good and brief summary of program features.

  • Thankyou! Thankyou! Easy instructions very well done.

  • you went with the single movie....not good. tutorial wouldve been better to create the menu based movie and start throwing videos.

  • @UACDOOM I have other tutorials on YouTube showing how to create the DVD with menu buttons. See 'DVD Architect - creating DVD Menus ' . Also, 'Creating buttons and backgrounds in DVD Architect - Sony Vegas & Sony Movie Studio '

  • i was going to ask a question but i figured it out.

thanks for the tutorial. my head ache just went away.

Albeit I am baffled as to why my markers load up if i select single movie

but don't load up if i select menu based.

I guess i did squeeze in a question.

thanks, your tutorials are the best.

  • can you put pics ect on it then burn it onto a disk?

if so will it work for my sony DVD?? or just the computer

    please reply fast thanks

  • @farhadcarl619 Yes, you can add photos and quickly create a photo DVD which will play in any DVD player.

  • Love ya Bill ~

  • How do i add more links cuase i only have 1

  • @sebbea1000 Links will appear for each video file in the project. Or if you have set chapter markers in the video files, links will appear for each chapter marker.

If you have just one video file and no chapter marker, you can add chapter markers using the video timeline, and pressing 'm' to add a chapter marker and chapter name.

  • @guerillabill

Why does this take so much space? I added 5 movies to put on one disc (Dual layer 8GB) and it says it will take 31.5GB!

  • @BattleGround16 When you choose 'prepare', the movies will be rendered to mpeg2 for DVD, and that will resize the files to best fit on the DVD.

DVD Architect itself only adds about 1 meg to a project - assuming you add a menu.

  • @guerillabill

    OK Thanks!

  • what if i wanted to put a small video clip in brefore the dvd menu started up

  • @mumbojumbojj easy to do. Just place the pre-roll clip above the menu in the list of files to be played. I have a video on my web site showing how to do this. Find it at 'Using DVD Architect to add a pre-roll to your DVD'

  • @guerillabill Sweet, thanks man

  • Saved my day, again!

  • @JDBCreations You can choose the menu aspect ratio in DVD Architect, and the audio will be as good as the original audio in the videos you import.

  • Is it possible to have a list of movies to where if you clicked on one it'd have its own page with chapter selections, extras etc...?

  • @JDBCreations Yes, you can have a master menu, and as many submenus as you want.

  • Great tips.... specially for those new to SONY DVD Architect.

  • Show how to create chapters somebody pleeeeeeeeassssssee. I make chapters i put save chapters it says format not right or some shiz i hate programs.

  • @thefedexpope To create chapter markers, place mouse at point where you want the chapter to be, and press the 'M' key.

  • @guerillabill but then it's not showing up as a link in the menu for each chapter. What is the correct order to do that? Thannnnnnnnks

  • @thefedexpope I create the chapter markers in Vegas, then import into DVD Architect, and tell it to build menu using chapter markers. If you create the chapter markers in DVD Architect, you build the menu after you create the markers. Or add the links manually.

  • @guerillabill And how do i build the links manually? Do I go to New, menu based at beginning or not? How do I load the links manually before the menu creation?

  • @thefedexpope See my YouTube video 'Creating buttons and backgrounds in DVD Architect - Sony Vegas & Sony Movie Studio '. Also vVisit my site and you'll find several videos in the members area showing how to build custom DVD Architect menus, and manipulating buttons.

  • 1 quick question i need it to work with rmvb videos will rmvb videos work on this program? if not can you give me a sugestion for another program

  • @Ander0072original DVD Architect does not list rmvb files in the import files list.

  • sir i got a problem with this

when i wanna drag video files to the program, the message appears to me written

the selected file is not of the required type

that happens also with most of avi files

    could you help me?

  • @ASSASSlNSCREED In DVD Architect, use 'insert media' to import video into your project.

Most video file types will work, including avi, mpeg, mov, wmv

  • @guerillabill No it still not work What i need to doo??? Please help me! i have 149 movies and i need to burn with menu!!! but it's not opening the file!!!

  • @AKULA9586 The problem is with the video format of the files you are trying to import. If they won't open, it means they are using a codec not on your computer.

Either convert the files to a supported format, or find out what codec the files need, and install that on your computer.
