When South Park rips on China it's not racist, cause they aren't ridiculing a race or ethnic group but instead just a nationality. Stereotypes sometimes don't cross cultural gaps so some jokes won't translate. I have translated cartoons and when non transient humour appears, creativity is used to fill the gap. e.g to translate, "you fucking chink" i would use a take a chinese racial slur at another race and change it so it's directed at chinese instead, so severity is understood.
