  • i dont get all the hate on submmissions yes thai boxing is awesome but sub fighters arent boring either both can be very dynamic

  • NICEEEEEEEE asian kid is excellent fighter

  • Buakaw is not a fist fighter, he is a kicker!

  • Man, Abdallah had a lot of spirit continuing his lopsided fight against Buakaw. Those kicks were KILLER!!

  • bloodsport O.O

  • the background music really amps you up

  • @vespaman101

In a real life fight, ground techniques are important, but, once your'e on the ground, you are as good as dead.

  • @3:43, the ref kicks buakaw xD?

  • Like that movie kickboxer.. Starring van dam

  • awesome timing by Buakaw at the 3 minute mark.

  • Lol the chineese/thailand guy gets annoyed with the black guy hugging him so he just starts droping him to to the ground xD sick fight

  • 4:48 hahahah good try bro...

  • What channel is K - 1 on? i have Surewest but i cant find it.

  • why arent they allowed to clinch?

  • @tonyteh Who says they can't clinch?

  • wonder why some people think muay thai should "adopt" mma, thats the most strangest thing to say. mma is not a pure style, its called mix for a reason. but the bottom line is mma takes from other martial arts and it makes sense but it doesn't make sense if you say muay thai fighters should learn ground fight cause "its more effective" lol wtf then i wouldn't be watching this unique sport, it would be another mma match where i can watch ufc for that

  • @uclaismydream I think it is the other way around. Many MMA fighters have adopted muay thai into their own fighting style for improving their performances in UFC or pride fightings. Wanderlei Sylvia, John Jones, and Shogun, just to name a few, who have spent a lot of time in training Muay Thai. Since these MMA fighters have adopted Muay Thai, their fighting strategy has become MORE EFFECTIVE. So anyone can see, it is the other way around. A big cheer to the Muay Thai fighting style!!

  • @thangcohon Wanderlei and Shogun haven't "adopted" Muay Thai, they come from the Chute Boxe Academy which is a Muay Thai school in Brazil. They are base Muay Thai fighters; Shogun also happens to hold a black belt in BJJ.

  • NEGÃO FAIL

  • Does anybody know the music that plays after they've announced the winner? I can't make out any of the lyrics to search for it on Google

  • Next to thinking you are bullet proof, pissing off Buakaw by making funny faces is one of life's bigger mistakes. In fact agreeing to fight Buakaw in the first place is probably a mistake.

  • 5:41 "he gets up with a big white smile" these commentators fucking hilarious lol

  • negão tomo no cú ateeeeeeeee

achei baum que no começo do 2° round ainda fiko provocando kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • buakaw = WAR MACHINE

  • Another nigger getting an ass whipping from a gook

  • @nofd1977 you got some baaaddd karma comin bro

  • @gdotsch8 Amen

  • @nofd1977

another immense retard posting stupid comments on youtube

  • Buakaw is an absolute monster. The Mabel's form was atrocious, but his defence was good

  • hey does anyone know why there is random music in the back ground ?

  • @lisport7 yeah its traditional thai music they fight to

  • Black people should just stay in boxing.

  • @DArkEnRise they arent that many black boxers now. they should just stick with basketball

  • Buakawa is a talented fighter ..

MMA is based on many MA skills, among which is Muay Thai.. and not vice versa ..

  • its like tong po vs eric!!!!!

  • Music is suck !

  • The thai is really good. Hes very very calm and reserved.

  • buakaws switchin left leg kicks are amazin

  • What a PERFECT fight !

  • i dont know about you, but i think if muay thai fighters adobts mma style. there will be alot more anderson silva knock out ground kicks than submissions. too bad cause falling to the ground just aint their style.

  • @ZerOInKilL agree with you.. but also.. the reason in MMA why the fight goes to the ground is cause they cant handle this punishment.. so shoot in take down take the point and avoid the carnage.

  • @ZerOInKilL Original Muay Thai and Southeast Asian fighting styles do use ground game. However they are used to kill.

  • @ZerOInKilL wait... if you incorporate mma with muay thai then wouldn't that be another mma match? we are watching pure muay thai match specificly, not mma

  • @ZerOInKilL it's about profit. muay thai fighters would need a looooot of hard work to be able to be good in mma. they'd have to work on stance, erase possibly a decade or two of habits, and get good at the core of modern mma, which is groundwork. it's easier to take a few hits and go to the ground than to knock somebody out. i find muay thai more entertaining, but have no illusions that transferring to such a different discipline would incur huge difficulties

  • @ZerOInKilL and once more, it's not about "aint their style". fighters don't think like their fans. they've worked as i say decades in their sport, to be the best of the best. why throw that all away? throwing away being one of the best in that sport, throwing away fans, throwing away culture, heritage, etc. fortunately fighters don't give a shit what niche fans think. sportsmen want the money and fame and prestige they've worked so hard for. it's a like asking a ping pong guy to play badminton

  • @ZerOInKilL Muay Thai is Muay Thai. Some elements of it are already used by MMA guys, who take methodologies from many fighting sports. They are just fundamentally different sports. Like boxing is.

  • @ZerOInKilL Traditional Muay Thai, has graples. So, it is not quite right that Thai adopts MMA. Traditional Muay Thai is known as the art of the 9 weapons and has lot of grappling.

  • @KuopioGR It also involves hugging which Buakaw displayed to full effect in his most recent fight against Askerov...when he stalled and did everything he could to avoid a fight with Askerov

  • @ZerOInKilL mma sucks, thaiboxing is a lot more interesting then mma, boring ground fighters. Boring

  • @MRFAKEMOVIE I understand what u mean. I do not see why Muay Thai could never pick up steam in America? It is more intresting than MMA and Boxing. MOre action.

  • @ZerOInKilL get your mma out of here.. really

  • @ZerOInKilL mma fighters adopt everyones styles

  • @ZerOInKilL you're joking right?

  • Muay Thai is just one part of martial art can be strongest or weakest depend on fighter. And it no point to argue about which martial art is the best cause nothing perfect in this world and just a talent can't make you be the winner. Talent + train hard + a little of luck = winner then just pls respect all the fighter who train hard for entertain all of us. Thank to them my father stop drink and we have a good time as a family.

  • คนไทย

  • These guys dont specialize in ground game.

  • Your vid is a favorite on BissauBissau

  • Buakaw is the best pure Muy Thai fighter since Kru Phil Nurse. Hands Down.

  • buakaw i love u,u are really a hero. I live thai ppl:D Great great fight

  • Oh mr mauy thai wanna be mma fight at 10:10 Let him match with a pro boxer

  • @Skribbles170 In traditional kickboxing trips and sweeps are allowed. Did you see him pound on the other guy when he was on the ground?

  • WTF is with the asian Don King at 10:42 ?

  • Man, Abdallah should really learn to clean break.

  • Buakaw Por Pramuk the best

  • I don't understand why people compare MMA to Muay Thai. It's like comparing top fuel drag racing to Formula 1. They have some similarities and lots of differences. Both have the goal of beating the other guy, but they do it in different ways. As for the skill of the fighters, they have different emphases on certain skills. Its apples and oranges.

  • @StoneSlinger0oo0 good point said and to me there is no respect in mma, no tradition, just about beating a face into the ground literally. still skilled fighters but not my thing

  • @StoneSlinger0oo0 thank you for making sense.

  • yea...i just saw this dude kicking a banana tree on worldstarhiphop crazy leg strength

  • These motherfuckers are built of steel. It's truly amazing how much punishment their bodies can take.

  • Take this guy, Buakaw. He is one of the best thai boxer in the world, but if you pay attention at his fight, 40% of the time the opponent is on the floor, is because of Buakaw's projections. He is very well formed to takedown and pancrace.

  • Guys, Thai boxing and MMA are two different way of fighting. One of them is more complete, it is true. But it doesn't take out the interest of the other one. Indeed, most MMA fighters have a strong background in Thai boxing, because it is one of the most natural, free and brutal stand up fight form.

  • Stupid americans ufc Kickboxing and muy thai is best thing in the word Respect frome holland amsterdam-nort Mike's gym

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA THE MUSIC IS AWSOME

  • Muay Thai is a sick sport, scares me

  • The african guy seems like an ametuar fighter at best,as his hits lacked power and speed.Looks like he is a beginner fighter because lets face it this fight was boring and one sided, unlike the UFC they match even opponents.

  • this is like a guide to the most efficient way to make yourself look like a clown against someone way better than you...

  • Totally uncool when you try to intimidate the other party with shouts only to have your ass whooped upside down and fear showing on your face. hahaha..... at least pretend that it didn't hurt.

  • Buakaw simply destroyed that dude.

  • 10:45 hahahahahhahahhahahah!!!

  • check out my muay thai fight on my page!

  • เด๋วแมททิว ก็พัฒนาวธีการพากให้เจ๋งกว่านี้เองแหละน่า ช่วง contrack เข้าใจหน่อย

  • PS: guy down me, fuck your UFC. This Thai box like legends with rules that have been there for ages. Why would he go for ground hugging in MMA. Thai fight standup and chlinch. This is not UFC wrestling... Overeem is using Thai style fighting in UFC and its working pretty good. But Thai fights are better to watch.

  • @NielDonteX its different I think muay thai is one of the greatest martial arts, amazing history, culture and tradition. But the the UFC and MMA is the culmination of all the best techniques and styles. MMA is the most closet to a real fight if a muay thai fighter fought a top MMA fighter with MMA rules he would obviously lose because he does not possess all the necessary weapons but if an MMA fighter fought a Muay Thai fighter with Muay Thai rules of course the MMA fighter would lose.

  • @minimalist34 Mostly true that taking on a Muay Thai fighter under MMA rules favors the MMA fighter because he's a more well rounded fighter, but not all MMA fighters like to stick with their game plan. Some actually prefer to trade. Big mistake against a Muay Thai fighter if one is not careful.

  • @showstopper316 yeah your right any fighter should be careful taking on a muay thai fighter especially if want to stand and trade

  • @NielDonteX There are people in UFC who stand and pound the shit out of people the whole fight not just wrestling...true fighters know how to grapple and fight standing up,think you should watch some more UFC fights they fight with all their heart. And most people in the world would agree UFC is a better show to watch, but this wasnt bad.

  • @Sunabe2k10 Personally i'd prefer watch Mike tyson, Floyd MW (english boxing) or Buakaw ( K1 or muay thai) than Georges St pierre or Brock Lesnar in UFC. People like to watch UFC cause it's really wild but the speed and techniques of punch and kick are more showed in others sports for sure. And i think a lot of people prefer watch some fighters like Melvin Manhoef in K1 than in UFC.

  • @pubite Rashad Evans or Rampage jackson are good fighters in UFC that give great brutal fights.Mike tyson was brutal in his fights and made for good show but no offense these guys standing there punching once then a kick every 3 secs isnt a good show.People want too see an all out fight since they pay good money for it and from this video it wasnt a good show.If this was ufc most guys would pick the guy up and body slam him,not stand there and wait too get hit.

  • @Sunabe2k10 your an idiot if you think this. These Muay Thai fighters are brutal. They are trained to fight at a young age. They are built like a rock. This guy in particular is the one of the strongest and fastest of all the thai fighters. He could easily beat half of the people in lightweight UFC division. These guys are trained brawlers. They'd instantly come into the UFC being the best standing fighters.

  • @yellowman88 haha your crazy if you think this guy has good standup fighting compared to the ufc.George st pierre or josh koscheck would destroy this guy in the ufc because they dont stand there waiting to get hit, they will do a takedown and pound this guy.

  • @Sunabe2k10 lol dude. Stop repping UFC. Your embaressing us. I am a UFC fan. You know nothing about MMA or Fightning if you say this guy sucks

  • @yellowman88 lol when did I say that the guy sucks...I said the fight was boring and ufc fights were a better show

  • @yellowman88 your the one getting asshurt because I said UFC fighters dont stand around to get hit like these guys and the fight was boring.

  • @Sunabe2k10 hahaha you're so dumb. at first u're talking about stand-up fighting and then you say: " they dont stand there waiting to get hit, they will do a takedown". idiot.

  • @technomafia123 your an idiot noone's even talking too you

  • @yellowman88 i don't get why you're comparing mma and muay tai. doesn't make sense. last i checked mma isn't just "stand up" fighting.

  • @yellowman88 this has been proven wrong on many occasions. How many good MMA fighters do you see stand virtually still right in front of their opponent? Even a mediocre MMA fighter would put these guys on their back and smash them into the canvas or submit them instantly.

  • @sirlordford most mma fighters do muay thai sped n these guys areee just thai bet no mma fighter will beat them at there own game so cho ass!

  • @alec786 send me the translation and I'll try to work up a response. As it is, I don't have any clue to what you are trying to say. I bet there were many red lines under the letters in your post.

  • @sirlordford

Well yeah of course, thai fighters are stand up specialists. Put ANY mma guy in the ring with them standing up and they're going to get massacred. Add wrestling and the game changes, obviously.

  • @vespaman101 This guys a purest. I just find it retarded when people compare kickboxers or Muay Thai fighters with MMA. It's like comparing Baseball and cricket. Games totally different. So is the fight.

imo Best fighters know some form of Judo + Brazilian Ju jutsu and Muay Thai.

I think a high level of Karate also helps... Especially for kicking. Makes the complete fighter.

  • @vespaman101 just how many fights in real life goes to the ground? not to mention it's usually a gangbang with weapons, thai techniques can be more useful in the streets than 15 minute tangle on the ground

  • @strikewzen lol dude a ton of real life fights on on the ground. but his question was about mma. so stop being an idiotic smartass tryong to defend muay thai just for the sake of...actually idk why your being defenseive. and i know i can win virtually any street fight simply by doing a takedown. as long as the guy isnt also trained but this was about how these guys would do in mma. not street fights. striking is preferable in street fighting.

  • @vespaman101 you said "they would get their asses kicked on the ground..which means in most fights" guess i took it out of context? why criticize MT inability to compete in cage when they don't intend to. it's like saying tiger woods can't play ping pong. street fighters have knives, if they don't they die

  • @strikewzen first of all its not called cage. Its called Mixed Martial Arts. And i said it because it was relative to someone elses comment. I did not bring this subject up for no reason it was relating to what someone else said about how they would do in mixed martial arts. You are treating a response like it was a regular statement. Stay out of the conversation man.

  • @strikewzen Totally....while someone is on the ground busy trying to grapple someone else, im sure his friends are going to be kicking the shit out of the grappler lol.....

  • @strikewzen the last thing you want to happen in a street fight is to hit the ground..

    Smart thinking :)

  • @strikewzen Most fights go to the ground. A Muay Thai guy with no grapping training, like a boxer without it, has no chance. MMA isn't his sport, and MMA is basically street fighting brought into a mainstream sport. It's origins are the old question - which art is better. The answer? An amalgamation.

  • @vespaman101 and that's why he said " best standing fighters "

  • @xTomstylez Yes which is why i agreed by saying. "of course" however i did mention that they would lose most fights because of ground fighting. like i said tho. but out the conversation. your input is not wanted.

  • @vespaman101 Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted in 1948, states that:

"Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."

  • @xTomstylez this is the internet jackass.... nobody friggin cares... now go fuck off and sto pbeing a troll...or just an idiot

  • @vespaman101 Yes. Just so you know. Im my country it is allowed to start a law-case if someone insults you in the internet. So go ahead I know some good lawyers.

Waiting for your money... eeeh insult :)

  • @vespaman101 lol goodluck trying to take these guys down. the whole point of their fighting style is to not fall down. if a ground fighter tries to rush them. they can see it a mile away and snap the guy's head back with a lethal kick. if he tries to get close and trip. these guys will throw deadly elbows and knees at him. why u think so many ufc fighters have wanna be muay thai background?

  • @ZerOInKilL First of all they wont see a takedown a mile away. Reflexes and ability to read body movement is based on familiarity. Which they are not familiar with. And UFC fighters dont want a muay thai backgroundfor takedown defense and Muay thai fighters fall ALL THE TIME in matches dude from simple takedowns. SIMPLE. MMA fighters want to learn it because the variety of strikes you can learn from it but muay thai fighters get taken down all the time man. So idk wth your talkin about man.

  • @vespaman101 btw if u say no one cares about the human rights in the internet then you are the biggest retard on earth :)

  • @1337lulz1337 go suck a fat one troll. Nobody honestly cares what human rights you have on the internet especially pertaining to free speech. You can say you have free speech but there are times when Shutting the fuck up is truly what you should do.

  • @vespaman101 ye fk human rights man! Lets take black ppl as our slaves again and kill some moslems and jews. Oh and also lets kill you and your family. Seems legit.

Cuz thats what youre saying when u say that no one cares about human rights. Fk off you braindead piece of shit. You are the scum that doesnt deserve to have human rights, bitch. Ok every human does ;D

  • @1337lulz1337 lol omg. Your stupid as hell man. Nobody cares about the rights you have on the internet. You know why? Because it doesnt matter because your thousands of miles away. You cant actually do shit to violate them so i could care less about someones rights. You are a complete idiot. And a Troll. And you should mind your business. PS: What happened to suing me?

  • @vespaman101 once again youve proven how retarded you are gj

  • @1337lulz1337 lol RIGHT. So yeah like i said Sue me? or did you forget? lol. Peace man.

  • @ZerOInKilL Uhh that's not how it is at all.... You would have to train with grapplers, Muay Thai fighters are not naturally good at takedown defense, that's just delusional, just like your point of view of this martial art.

  • @yellowman88 STANDING FIGHTERS! no ground game yet

  • @yellowman88 two diferent worlds my friend

  • @yellowman88 Actually... I've been to Thailand and trained Muay Thai there for a month.. I've seen high quality Muay Thai fighters enter into MMA and get beat by someone just learning jiujitsu... Just knowing Muay Thai isn't going to help you in MMA, it is a different sport, different game.. And yes, I know what I'm talking about.

  • @yellowman88 seeing is believing

  • @yellowman88 standing mabey thats a big mabey ,but when he was taken to the ground his nose would be through the back of his lil head and that no mabey

  • @yellowman88 i watch both ufc and muay thai. muay thai fighter are brutal no doubt, but say he'll easily beat half of the people in lightweight division in UFC is taking it too far. MMA is a completely different sport with different rules, muay thai fighters will need proper grappling and wrestling training before they can effectively compete in UFC. it's like saying kobe or lebron will instantly dominate in pro volleyball w/o training. simply not true. w/1-2 yrs training, then he'll dominate

  • @yellowman88 You can begin on 15 Years and become a pro.. you don't need only to go on muay thai to a " young age " like 6 years. ^^

  • Huge fan of Ramon Dekkers. After his retirement i became a huge Buakaw pr pramuk fan. Even vs Andy Souwer my fellow Dutchmen. Love the Thai fighting style and matches, and i love this fighter a real ฮีโร่. Greetz en Love from Holland (the Netherlands)

  • @NielDonteX Would love to thumbs up a million on your comment
