  • This is a great video

  • Very enjoyable thank you

  • really informative and interesting

  • very interesting video thanks

  • Trippy

  • Amazing work !!! : )

  • Very Cool. I love it.

  • Nice... this totally reinforced my desire to collaborate with dancers in my own video work. Oh and btw, the v4 has some fun effects, but dirty mixing is the only way to go for optical feedback...

  • @KaiserThovex thanks :)

we pull out our Vintage Fairlight CVI's if we want to do some dirty mixing ;)

  • @vjzoo ...drool. I want to play with one... the only vintage hardware I've ever gotten to touch is the Sandin IP that's locked away in a closet at my school. Never could get the sync generator to play nice with it though...

  • @KaiserThovex the Sandin Image Processor sounds awesome :)

  • so, are there some other lights flashing in the beginning to give it green and blue?

  • @JediMindTraveler no coloured lights just a different effect in the vision mixer.

  • @vjzoo I see, what kind of vision mixer do you use?

  • @JediMindTraveler for this just an Edirol V4

  • How do you get the black and white image?

  • @prymedia we inverted the camera feed in desk and there wasn't any other light but the projector in the room.

  • Awesome stuff!

  • is this fairly new technology? i was just investigating VJ/DJ's. this seems to be the opposite in the way that whats painted is making the sound.

  • @Neutrae the techology for this has been around for as long as live feed cameras have been or maybe longer.

the video isnt effecting the sound in any way.

  • coolio :)

  • u can make it with diferent kinds of light and effect... but in the end the B&w gives it a dynamic that colors don't ..... maby?? nice one mate!! cheers!!

  • im trippin... XD

  • Excellent video. 5 stars.

  • We did it as described in the earlier comments. It's just video feedback with an inverted image in a darkish room (so the dancer was silhouetted by the projector light).

  • How do you get the black white effect... This would make a cool mask.

  • brilliant!

  • amazing idea! guys, you are rocks :)

  • This is a brilliant idea, I've wanted to do this before but have no projector :(

  • sort of works with a TV or monitor too...

  • I've been using a TV monitor a long time but everytime i do it i'm just like, this is crap, if i had a projector i could do some awesome stuff lol.. but the dancing idea i wouldn't've thought of, & i wouldnt've filmed it as well to make the feedback work right

  • amazing work....jsut gettin into video (well a few years now)

    and i love your work

i really need to get into video feedback....i love my music analog and video tooooo

  • omy gosh i think i just got hypnotized

  • that was the fucking weirdest 1:13 of my life

    yet i couldnt look away

  • I think about the gestation of a new visual language, as DaVinci or Van Gogh. to change the visual perpectiva of the screens.

  • its sofware isadora???????????????

  • No, just hardware

  • i really like your work! did you really perfom this live? are you using a backside projected wall, and what's the deal with the actress? is she moving in a dark room and the video is just the inverted picture..? please tell me more

  • Yes, dancing in a darkish room with projector as main light source and hardware inversion between camera and projection (hence positive/negative feedback trails

  • Probably also worth saying that this is a recording from the video desk (ie, what was being projected), not shot with a video camera. Hence why the main image is white (inverted silhouette).

  • Very good

  • nice job!
