is it just me or did luhrmann seem to make the chanel films and ads more like the classic chanel.... don't get me wrong, lagerfeld is a genius but i think that sometimes he branches away from the classic chanel too much...

@chanelfan1 Hmm...I don't think so. I mean, in all his shows he uses a lot of Chanel classic pieces, like the very-known deux-piece, or materials, like the tweed. He always keeps the basic Chanel motives. But, he also needs to keep up with today. And, if he wouldn't add so much personality in his creations, then Chanel collections would be only vintage inspired.

@BelleBrummellFV i agree with that, but i think that chanel is for the feminine... you can't just be a woman, you have to, how can i say it... you have to have that air like... i think that lagerfeld sometimes revs it up to a point where his creations can be worn by ANYONE not just those who coco had intended them to be worn by.... though it's definitely true that they need to keep up with the latest trends but there's a certain way to do it.... jsut my opinion though :)

The original piece is Debussys Clair de Lune. And then for this commercial I'm sure it was rearranged by someone different. The original piece was written for piano while this version is all done with different string and wind instruments. I frigging ADORE this commercial. Absolute work of art. Their marketing team betta get it. Love no. 5!
